“I was buying a 25-year old vehicle from a stranger on Craigslist who had owned it for only a couple months and didn't know anything about its history. Carfax provided me valuable information about the car's maintenance records that gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. I'm glad I did; I love that car and it is now my daily driver!”

“We were ready to buy our 18 year old a used car to go to college in. I checked the CarFax on the one the dealership was preparing for her and found that it had been in multiple collisions, and even had unresolved recalls on it! As soon as I informed them, they found us another of the same car, '09 Chevy Cobalt, with a clean vehicle history report. She is thrilled with her car and we are thrilled with CarFax. “141019 Dear CarFax: Our family had an accident “totaling our BMW that had been involved a previous accident and was properly repaired with a rebuilt title. The CarFax report includes a deduction value for a vehicle with a rebuilt title. “When I was shopping for used car I stoped by so many good looking cars but carfax showed me the history of each some of them where involved in bad accident and some of them where the odometer rolled back for hundreds thousands of miles Thanks carfax for saving my investment”

“i was looking for a ford explorer for this winter. a used car dealer in the area tried to give me the wrong vin by only 1 digit. carfax came back with the right vin and news that this particular vehicle had an unsavory past, saving me two grand. thanx, carfax.”

“I used carfax to check on a car that we were looking at for our daughter. the previous owner was very honest with us about the car . “It was very important to my family to find a car that only had one owner and was well taken care of. The care we purchased was for my daughter who just turned 16 and we wanted everything to be safe and perfect. While searching the internet we came across a PT Cruiser that was right in our price range. CarFax helped us get the history of the car to ensure that it was exactly what we were looking for..good news..IT WAS!. It turns out we weren't the only people looking for something specific. The owner of the car was no longer able to drive. She didn't want to sell the car to just anyone. She wanted to sell it to someone who would cherish it and take care of it just as she did. She even had a name for it. Jenny. When we got in contact with the owner it was like the car fox had turned match maker and set us up with the perfect car from the perfect owner. “Carfax was the best money I have ever spent on a car. I have been looking fora mazda rx8 for a long time thought I had one till I ran the carfax it was in 4accidents and the mileage didnt match! Then I found my dream rx8 everything checked out and I haven't had this much fun in a car since I was a teenager!!!!!!! Thanks for the help! I only wish the time to get the report was longer sometimes your dream car doesn't come along in that short of time.”

“Several years ago we were searching used cars for my husband to drive to work. He found one he liked and checked it over very carefully. We found on the carfax where the mileage was 100,000 miles more than what the seller was stating. We still bought the car because it was in great condition, but we got it for a substantially reduced price!”

“I was interested in a Ford Explorer and it was a really good deal. It looked like it had been taken care of well and the price was exceptional. I pulled a CarFax on the vehicle and when reading the report I made my decision. The report had a lot of information about the vehicle and gave me the additional confidence I needed to make the decision to buy. It's been a great vehicle and when I took the car in to get the fluids changed I passed the report to my mechanic and he said it was great information and made it easier to taylor my visit there since I didn't know a lot of pre owner history.”

“I was able to get a report on a van I already purchased. It helped me by knowledgeable information why my van was giving me problems; the report showed me that my van was in a accident that smashed the front end. This let me further know that getting a car fax before purchasing a vehicle is a MUST to prevent future headaches and stress.”
