“We were looking for a used car for our daughter and had a very limited budget, so we did A LOT of research using the unlimited carfax option. And thanks to carfax we found an excellent car for her! We ruled out the ones that were salvaged, and the ones that had problematic repair records. This is a great resource for any car shopper!”

“I was about to buy a 2000 Acura RL which owner said it had 55,000miles cause it was salvage check it on car fax and find out this car had 298,000 in 2012 wow car look it very clean and paint was perfect interior 9 of 10 A mean I almost get it But car fax help to learn not to trust in pretty faces ....thank you car fax”

“I had sold a smaller car and needed a larger car for my business. I found one on craigslist and of course wasn't sure if the car had been in an accident or not. Our area sells a lot of cars that look nice, but have been damaged in an accident. Almost every car I looked at had a salvage title. When I found my 2010 Ford Edge, the owner said it had never been in a wreck, but I immediately got a car fax report to confirm that. I would never buy a car without checking it's history ! Thank you ! I got a great car and a good deal on it too !”

“I was ready to purchase a "new" Jeep from a dealer but noticed 1400 miles on it. I was told it was a "demo" sold as new, but I checked CarFax and found out it was previously titled to a lease company and really a used car. CarFax saved me.”

“Using Carfax prevented us from buying a use car where the dealer had bought it at auction and didn't know any history. The Carfax report alerted us to an accident, the repairs, the geographical history, the lengthy time it sat unsold, and with that info we didn't make the purchase. The following week we found another car and were able to verify all the facts the private owner had given us using the Carfax report. The owner hadn't fudged anything, it was all right there, and we made the purchase. When you're looking at spending that much money to buy a car, you really need to go into it with all the fact so you can make an intelligent decision. Money well spent!”

“I had been searching for a used RV for several months and found many out of state and too far away for inspection. I finally located one near a friend in Phoenix who could inspect the vehicle for cosmetics, verify mileage, and get a close up look before making an offer. I had them pass along the VIN number and used another low cost service to search its history but couldn't get any real details. I used Car Fax and found all the good information I was hoping to find showing the dealer maintenance and repair records, state emissions verifications, records of sale and title transfers to validate the owners claims. With this long distance sale I felt comfortable enough to send a bank transfer deposit to hold until I could travel for the final inspection and close the deal. I am not sure I could have done this comfortably without the details Car Fax provided to prove the history of the vehicle. I would recommend the service to anyone who wants the complete history before they make their purchase decision.”

“I've been searching for over a month trying to find my daughters 1st car. Reliability and a clean history are top requirements for me and the first 3 cars that I looked at claimed to have clean titles in their ads. Thanks to CarFax I was able to find out that each of them had rebuilt titles. CarFax saved me an incredible amount of disappointment for both my daughter and I. Now before we go out to look at a car, my daughter asks what the CarFax says about it. That's my girl. Thank you!”

“My son desperately wanted a C6 Corvette. After running several by me he discovered a great deal on a 2006 model in Ohio. The only problem? We live in North Carolina... After telling him I would not co-sign for a car sight unseen he planned to hop in his car to travel straight there, inspect, purchase and rush back--all within 24 hours. I then recalled Carfax from all the commercials and said we should do our due diligence before spending all this time. This was the first time I ever used Carfax or any service of this type. We discovered the Vette had been in a serious accident with frame damage just a few years before. My son immediately realized dad was right... When we found the next viable candidate we did our research in advance. He was able to get the car of his dreams--a 2008 Corvette--knowing its history. This included a first-year incident that deployed the air bag. With this information we inspected the vehicle knowing it was repaired properly and did not sustain major damage. We saved approximately $8,000 having this history. Thanks Carfax!”
