“Carfax help me a lot to check the history of my new car. I was worry about the milles that had my car because it was lower than normal for that year. But, with the carfax history I can proved that the milles was real and that the seller did not change them. I can check that my car was a car lease for that reason has low milles.”

“I was trying to by a used corvett from a dealer and was not sure of the price.i was unable to find out what it was worth.so i called car fax and sent in the ID number,this was not the car for me,i found a better corvett and two years newer for a lower price.and with the car fax i was able to find out all about the car. i will use car fax when ever i by a car.thank to you i got a better and a newer car.allso i did not by my car from a chevrolet dealer.”

“Vehicle had extensive damage from previous owner hitting curb. Dealership did a half assed job repairing it. Carfax is a joke and a waste of money for consumers.”

“I was looking to buy a low end (but suitable) first car for my 19 year old daughter. The first thing I did was buy a 5-pak of Carfax inquiries so I knew I could check the Carfax on anything that seemed promising. I think I ended up using 4 of the carfaxes before we bought. In each instance, I learned something about the car that the private party sellers didn't know, or forgot to tell me. For instance I asked: "how many prior owners?" Seller said " I don't know" Carfax said "Nine". We kept looking. I asked "are you the original owner?" Seller said "yes". Carfax said that the current owner bought the vehicle out of a lease fleet when it had 11,000. Seller then fessed up it was true. Too much money at stake not to spend $59 on a 5-pak of Carfaxes. thank you.”

“I was in the market for a pre-owned car and decided to look on Craigslist. Of course I needed validation of what was being represented in the advertisement and knew of Carfax so that was my next logical step. When I went to the Carfax site, I was presented with 3 options, I chose what I thought was the best value with "Unlimited Searches" only to find out that unlimited means 5 VIN number searches and then unlimited if you know the, or the automobile happens to have a, license plate number. (Note to Carfax, not all cars for resale have a license plate.) As it turns out, the car I was interested in was "#6" so I was forced to purchase another search, which the site really doesn't want to do so I had to set up a new account as well. My question: Who makes the Carfax to check on Carfax?”

“this have been the best $55 dolars I have ever spent, I was in love with a nice grand caravan that was on sale on my town and just before the payment to the seller I checked the story of the car on carfax.com and I discovered some small "issues" on the mini-van, but they helped me to re-negotiate the final price of the car and I went home with the car and few hundreds on my pocket saved. I will do the carfax review every time I need another car for me or family”

“I found a 2013 BMW X3. The dealership didn't have a CARFAX but said it wasn't wreaked. I wanted to feel secure so I bought the CARFAX and it said No accidents. That made me feel great when I bought the SUV. Thanks CARFAX”

“Was searching online for a Jeep Wrangler...After weeks of searching the internet, I found the perfect Jeep......Seller had no CarFax. So I signed up for unlimited carfaxs for a month, just in case I needed to find another Jeep. I signed in with the car lisence plate and in a couple minutes found that the odometer had been rolled back 40,000 miles. I notified the owner who had no idea since it was rolled back in 2010 and she had purchased it in 2013...Told the owner I could't buy her Jeep, as it would be difficult for me to sell later with this problem...I was very disapointed, but 2 days later found a much better Jeep for $2000 less. I'll never buy a used car again without a CARFAX........... Thanks CarFax for saving me $2000, plus avoiding a major problem............ R.D. Smith Indio, Ca.”

“Carfax helped ease my mind. I was worried because I purchased a used car with only 30,000 miles. It is a 2003, so I started thinking this sounds to good to be true. So I purchased my Carfax report after I purchased my car. I know that is not to smart. When I got my report I felt better knowing that the mileage had not been tampered with. I really lucked out because nothing bad had ever been reported on the car. The previous owners just didn't drive much at all. But I will be sure to get a Carfax report before I buy another used car. The reports contain a lot of useful information in them. Plus you can't go wrong with the buy back guarantee. I wish I would have purchased a report for the two previous used cars I got burned on. So I highly recommend that you get your Carfax reports before handing over any money. Like I said I just happened to luck out this time.”

“We had an opportunity to buy a 2011 Volkswagen EOS with some minor body damage. We took the car to a body shop to get an estimate to repair. The body shop insisted that the car had been repaired previously. Not only did the Carfax report show no prior accidents, but we found out that the car had been meticulously maintained by the prior owner. We bought the car and my son is thrilled.”

“Was about to buy a 2005 Honda Accord, the guy said he was selling for his elderly neighbor who was the original owner but she couldn't drive anymore. He would not meet at his house but in a parking lot, after running the CARFAX I found out he was the third owner, the car was involved in a front end collision, had to be towed, and was a different color than the registration. As soon as I ran the CARFAX on my tablet the guy got nervous , got into the car without saying a word and drove off! You can't make this stuff up!Thanks car fax! Mike A.”
