“First, the nightmare: We bought a 2003 Mercedes E320 from a private party, a smiling little guy who said the car was in excellent shape and lowered the price without argument. We drove away, thinking we'd scored a great deal! Two days later, the engine light came on, and it started running poorly. Several trips to the mechanic confirmed major engine problems. The cost to fix it was more than the car was worth, and far outside our budget. We managed to sell it for far less than we'd paid, but a Carfax report (much too late to help us) revealed that it had been in an accident, had major repairs done, and had more miles than the current odometer. The little smiling guy had known all about the problems and had swapped out the original odometer for one that showed fewer miles. We lost thousands on this car, thousands we might have saved if we'd just run a Carfax before buying. When I went to look for another car, I subscribed to Carfax and ran it on several, including the one I bought. Within minutes, I had a report on my phone that showed the car had a clean title, only two prior owners, and a history of being maintained. It was so easy to come up with all this info! I knew I was getting a good deal this time. I will not buy another used car without a Carfax report! It's easy, quick, and inexpensive, especially compared to the cost of being cheated!”

“Recently I bought a Chevrolet Tahoe that was exported from Texas, USA to the Netherlands (where I live) The last owner had lost the service history of the car. Thanks to Carfax I found out that the car was well serviced all those years. Reinout van Kalleveen.”

“I was looking at a vehicle and the dealer provided a different vehicle history report. I decided to purchase a cared fax report and am so glad that I did. The extra detail helped me make the decision to keep looking. I ended up purchasing a different car with a much cleaner report!”

“Carfax was great and very instrumental in my final decision for the VW Jetta I bought. I was able to check more than 7 cars before making my final decision on Carfax. In my final decision it was down to two cars and when I checked the Carfax, it was obvious that one of the vehicles has been passed to several owners in the last year or two. Before the Carfax it sounded like a great buy, but Carfax showed me otherwise. This company also helped me see the value in my final decision. The car looked and drove great and Carfax confirmed it to be a great car with low mileage. Thanks Carfax.”

“I had been looking for a car for 2 months. The most important concern was a car that was kept serviced so the condition under the hood ensured I was buying a good quality car. The last thing I wanted was a lemon. When I found a good looking used car the carfax record was the most important deciding factor. If there was no carfax report or one that showed wrecks or failed services I immediately moved on to the next vehicle. Finally, after two months of searching, and many carfax reports later, I found the perfect car with a perfect carfax. Carfax providesd me peace of mind in locating a dependable well maintained vehicle.”

“I had been looking to buy a 2012 Ford Focus for some time but could not find one with the right specs. I finally found one that sounded too good to be true. I pulled a CARFAX and the report came back clean. I am now the proud owner of this vehicle. CARFAX made sure I did not buy a lemon, thanks !!!”

“I visited several dealerships looking for used cars. I printed the CARFAX reports for the cars I was interested in, but didn't tell the salespeople that I had them. One salesperson didn't mention that a car had been in an accident. That wasn't a reason not to buy the car, but the salesperson's omission of the that fact was! The other reports I printed led me to a one-owner 2002 Dodge Durango with no rust, lots of regular oil changes, and low miles! Just what I was looking for! Thanks CARFOX!!”

“I subscribed because I didn't want to get another lemon. I was so glad we did. I was lookong for a car for my son and a truck for myself. We found many what looked like good deals. Carfax saved us many times during this search. At the end we both ended up with great vehicles. Thank you Carfax”

“I cant state the importance of running a carfax on any vehicle purchase. Its a necessity when buying or selling a car. I went to a dealer and they gave me their version of a car report and let me tell you, it did not even come close to a carfax report. Turns out the SUV I was about to buy was indeed a rebuilt engine and with over 143K miles on it. Sure enough this one seller tried to scam me and sell me an engine that supposedly had 49K miles. Sure you have to pay a little bit out of your money for the report but in the end you can save thousands of dollars. I was almost scammed but I was smart enough to purchase a Carfax. Do your own research let Carfax help you make the right choice.”

“Carfax saved me twice: first, I was interested in a 1999 GMC truck until the Carfax showed me the mileage was inaccurate; next, I was about ready to buy a 1996 Chevy truck until the Carfax showed me that it had been in a total loss collision in another state, even though the title was clean in my state. Invaluable tool.”

“We were looking at a 2012 Range Rover,, looked in awesome condition. Drove great. But was pricey,, even for that type vehicle. I opened my CarFax account and am soo soo glad. Found out that this had been involved in two separate accidents, one was fairly recent,, that is why looked brand new paint,, because it was.. Was hit form the back and T-Boned on the drivers side. I did not see anything indicating there was any frame repairs.. I walked from that post haste.. Thank you CarFax..”

“I don't buy a car before I run a carfax report now. It started when I bought a Toyota pick up without checking it first. A couple days later I found out the frame was completely rusted out. I tried to give it back to the guy that sold it to me but he wouldn't take it. I talked to an attorney and told him that I also suspected that the miles had been lowered. He told me to run the carfax report and that if they did then I might had a chance of suing. I did run the report and it turned out they lowered over 100,000 miles. Unfortunately the truck was over ten years old and the government don't care about cars ten years or older. So there was nothing I could do, I had too partout the truck to make some of the 3,000 I pay for it. Since then I found 2 more cars the miles had been lowered, thanks to carfax I didn't buy them. People buy cars in the actions cheap with high miles then they lowered them and sell the car for a big profit.”

“We had already been to a competitor and were turned off by the " double teaming" procedure that they employed. We knew what make and type of vehicle we were looking for but we were not familiar with any other dealers in GA as we are from Philadelphia. Our son recommended CARMAX since he had bought 2 cars from CARMAX, a Corvette and a Lexus. From the beginning of the process, we were more than impressed by the way our quest for an automobile was handled. Let me say that I literally hate car shopping. We met our sales rep, Wanda Mosely, at the door and although I was on the defense and ready to walk away at any moment, Wanda's attitude was unlike any car sale rep that we had ever encountered. There was no pressure at all. We sat at a computer terminal and found several vehicles to our liking, inspected them but none impressed us. We went on to select one from a remote location. It was delivered to the Kennesaw store within 48 hours. After test driving it we decided to purchase it. 2 or 3 days later the vehicle lost all power during a shopping trip. We immediately called the dealership, spoke with Wanda who had the car towed in. We subsequently found that there was a transmission problem. In the meantime Wanda had already begun to look for a similar vehicle, which she found at a more remote location, in the event that we decided to reject vehicle one, which we ultimately did. We were satisfied with the trade in value offered us for two cars. I would and have recommended Carmax to others and would purchase another Carmax vehicle myself.”

“I was looking at a 2008 Pontiac Wave and was a little worried it was too much of a great deal. After checking Carfax my worries were put to rest and I bought the vehical. I might not have and missed this great deal if I didn't have the piece of mind given by Carfax. Great product would recommend to all family and friends!”
