Easy to use selling tool to list list your car, for sale. Provides many selling options, from Standard listing to VIP. Gives the flexibility to begin with a Standard Listing then have the ability to easily improve your listing, one or more upgrades at a time. The best thing is that you have a chance to WIN a CARFOX; which i hope i win because if not, i may change my opinion about AutoTrader. Ha (but kinda serious)

I went to the dealer to buy my car and asked for a carfax before I purchased it. To my astonishment the salesman kept telling me heres the car fox, and kept mumbling about a double rainbow and tears of joy that never felt so sad. It was like they were speaking another language. I kept insisting that he had the option of giving me a car fax maybe. Well After I got home I ran the real carfax on it and it showed over several Major accidents and a salvage title. It makes sense now how the grill, tail lights, both doors and hood don't line up well. Also I finally know that the water stain line on the headliner wasn't a factory installed option like the salesman said. I called them Monday to complain about the "speed stain lines" and salvage thing. They told me it was most likely caused by a "loose nut behind the wheel" I don't know what that has to do with any of my concerns but they advised me to take the car to a specially trained 4 cylinder flcks capacitor shop. I have been calling around and have no idea who specializes in these. I guess its a very complicated vehicle because all the automotive shops I call (that don't immediately hang up on me) just sit there on the phone and laugh for 5 minutes straight and wont answer any of my questions. I called my dealer back and they said the ones furthest away are the ones i need to go to. Specialty shops aside I know they must be out there because I see a few of my same car on the road from time to time. I should have bought the less expensive model instead of the "Leymon Steemer performance package" as the sales man told me. Nothing about this car feels like it has any performance package. Id sure hate to be stuck with the standard base model though. This car creeks, sways, and wanders aggressively enough even with the suspension package. I feel sorry for the owners of the base models I see on the road. They don't even have the "semi slick willy" speed tires (slick on the inside and tread on the outside) pretty cool. (inside also has speed grabber lines showing through) I wish I did the car fax sooner.

We were buying a car at a government auction. We were able to very quickly confirm that this car had, indeed, gone straight from the factory to the car lot to the same small city where it spent its entire service. The car was a gem, and we are very happy with it!

I was looking at a used car from a used car dealership, the price was more than reasonable and I was assured the car was in great condition. I was able to tell that the car was repainted not very well which isn't realy an issue for me but made me question the quality of the car and why it was repainted. Come to find out by checking the carfax the car had been in a multiple vehicle accident with severe damage, and also in a flood. Those are two huge things I wish I found out before wasting my time to check out the car because the dealer lied to me about the history. Now when checking out a good deal on a vehicle I know to check the carfax history report so I can truly find out the history and quality of a car. Couldn't be more happy and satisfied spending the money to use carfax.

I was very hesitant while trying to purchase a used car for my daughter. Having the car fax report was very empowering. It gave me the information I wanted, and steered me toward information I needed that wasn't even originally on my radar. The car we ultimately bought I purchased the car fax for myself as the dealer used another reporting service. He was surprised that I had information that wasn't even on his report, such as a minor accident the car had been in. I was very pleased with my car fax experience.

I found a 2005 Buick Rendezvous that I was ready to buy. However, I checked CarfAX AND FOUND ODOMETER DISCrepancies in the service records. I abandoned that purchase and found a 2006 that was a better buy & had a great CarfAX report.

Got top dollar value for my 1997 honda civic thanks to CARFAX. I sold my car to guy saying that he has been in the market to buy a honda civic but no body was able t o show him the history of their cars. He paid almost full amount of my asking because he was convinced that he was buying a great car backed up with the CARFAX.

I was in the market for a early 2000's honda accord. I had reviewed several websites, sale by owner. One, in particular, had advertised the car as a 2002 Honda with a 4 cylinder v-tec engine, the exact engine that I was hoping for. I sent a text message to the owner and asked to see the vehicle. We made an appointment for later that afternoon. I reviewed the post again and decided that before I went to the appointment I should go check the CarFax. I had been looking at so many cars online that I decided to get the "unlimited" option. I downloaded the license number, another great CarFax option, and the car information popped-up. To my surprise, the car was not a 2002, it was a 2001. The engine, the most important thing I was looking for, was not a 4 cylinder v-tec, but the more unreliable and gas hungry 6 cylinder. Needless to say, I contacted the owner and cancelled the appointment. That afternoon, I found another car online. Before I even contacted the owner, I accessed my "unlimited" CarFax and got all the information. One of the most important things that it demonstrated was the service record, which fortunately was noted as being from the local Honda dealership, a dealership know for good workmanship. The car was thirteen years old, and CarFax had its entire history right there in black and white. I made the appointment. The owner showed up with all the maintenance paperwork and needless to say it matched almost to the letter with the documentation found on the CarFax. I am a believer. Next time I am looking for a car, I simply won't waste my time...I will get the CarFax.

looked at a few cars and used CarFax to verify the histories. It amazes me what people will not tell you when selling a vehicle. We even had a dealer omit that the vehicle had been in an accident until we called him on it. Thank you CarFax!

I was about to drive 2 hours to check out a 2003 Subaru Outback with 125,000 miles. Ran the Carfax, turns out it had service records up through 189,000 miles, and then the odometer was reported at 125,000! Saved me disappointment and hours of driving!

Thank you so much! Went to look at a Hummer H2, and the owner showed me a clean title. After running the VIN I found that it was a total loss due to flood damage.

I did actually buy the vehicle first, had several issues with the vehicle, then purchased the carfax to confirm what I had suspected. The seller lied about everything, the mileage was grossly understated, the odometer had been tampered with, and none of the repairs the seller claimed to have made we're done. Don't be like me do the carfax first and avoid going through lawsuits and hassles and get the vehicle of your dreams. T. Mosley St. Petersburg, FL

I was amazed how many 2006 - 2008 cars at dealers had been through multiple auctions and how many that were claimed to be one owner had been owned 5 to 8 times. I ended up buying an honest 3 owner car that had very clean maintenance records and all of the owners had owned the car for at least two years. The car had been CPO'd two times, so I felt comfortable that it had been quite fully looked over even though it did have multiple owners. This was much more important because it was two states away. I wouldn't have considered it because of distance but it was $4000 less expensive than I could have bought the same vehicle in my home state. A quick 6 hour drive and I saved $4000. I felt the money spent on the Carfax made the drive worthwhile. Were it not for the Carfax, I probably wouldn't have risked the drive to be disappointed.
