I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant to pay for a CarFax package. However, I was looking for a specific Jeep and I wanted to make sure I was getting what I was paying for in the vehicle. I had several Jeeps available to me but one stood out but it was also more expensive. I was leery about paying more but after looking at the CarFax report I wasn't anymore. It showed a complete history of the car including all the maintenance records. It showed me that the previous owner had taken VERY good care of the vehicle and it was worth paying a little more for it. I am extremely happy that I got the facts I needed through CarFax.

Car fax is a excellent tool in comparing cars and checking on their mechanical integrity it can make a real difference between buying a lemon or acquiring a wonderful piece of machinery

When my daughter wanted an older new car, I was so happy that Car Fax allowed me to be able to research the cars and make sure that I was getting a car that had a great history. I found so many of these cars people had lied about clean titles and low miles. I was shown Auto Checks that looked good but then checking the Car Fax I found a big difference in the information. Being a women buying a used cars this is my "Go To" to make an educated choice, so far I have been extremely happy with my purchases and everyone thinks I am great at buying cars. Thanks for making me look so smart!

I was looking for either a Honda Ridgeline or a Chevrolet Avalanche and found both being sold by private parties at much lower prices than at the dealers. I ran CARFAX on both and found that the Honda had been totaled and had a salvage title. As a result I did not buy it. The Avalanche had also been totaled but had a clean title. After careful examination of damage repairs and the result of being an Illinois vehicle I was able to negotiate a fair price and bought the Avalanche. The CARFAX report gave sufficient information to make a wise buying decision.

While a new car is an exciting idea, the reality is a significantly large number of car owners go for pre-owned. I'm one of them. The challenge is, the history of a pre-owned vehicle is very critical, as the vehicle you are interested into. The challenge is, you dealer will never connect you to the former owner, or even the owner himself will never tell you every detail of the vehicle. That link is always missing. Good news! CARFAX is your partner. I almost bought a Mercedes Benz that has so many replacements and recurrent repairs, but subscribing to CARFAX, led me to the car I gladly drive today.

Carfax has helped me find out information the seller was trying to hide, almost bought a car with a salvage title but didn't thanks to Carfax. It has also helped me sell a car because I can show the buyer the vehicle's history and gives them peace of mind.

I was all set to buy a 2007 Silverado. But the Carfax showed 3 wrecks when confronted with this information the sellsman told me he already sold it.. Just told me not to trust them.. Thank you car fax!! Oh and BTW they show service records as well any major repair work done by a licensed shop so the 40 dollars is deff worth it!!

I live in Canada, searched for an all-wheel drive SUV vehicle to meet my need and budget within the province due to out-of-province inspection. I brought a 5 Carfax deal and here is why. I first set my eyes on a Tiguan AWD, did a Carfax and check-out ok but was too late, got sold 1 day too early. I then found an rare 7-seater B9 Tribeca, it was not easy to find low kms, good condition and over-all in the budget range, but however it was an USA vehicle and wasn't too sure about the history and never have brought one in the past. I quickly ran a Carfax app from my phone right after I test drove the vehicle and sealed the deal, pickup the vehicle the next day. Carfax is a MUST on the list when buying a vehicle in North America! Scott- Alberta, Canada p.s. I sold 2 Carfax history to the some person, my Carfax was almost free. lol :)

I was looking for a use X Terra with not too many mails, and no accidents. I do not know much about cars, so is soon is I found one with low miles, and it look beautiful. I wanted to get it. So I got on the carfax web site and I was more than happy to pay $ 39.95 to find out everything about what this car is Ben true, and all the repairs, and the recalls. This is the best part, they email me to let me know there was a recall on my car. Took it to the Nissan car dealership and they took care of it, free no charges. so it was worth every penny. And if there is any other recalls, all I have to do is log in to Carfax , and I can find out what the problem is. By the way I love my X Terra, and the very best part about this car is, I have anoff room to put my daughter's will chair on the back. Plenty of room........please look into Carfax before you purchase your next use car.you are going to be glad you did, like me.....,.Elia w.

I recently bought a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, that had 34,200 miles on it, before buying, i ran a car-fax and found a mileage discrepancy of 1,000+ miles, i believe it was a typo when getting a sticker, but never the less i used it to negotiate the price, i believe i got a true low mileage car for an incredible price because of car-fax. My son and I had been looking for a car since he turned 16. We started out looking at dealerships predominately, but every time we found something he liked, it was over our budget. So, we decided to start searching on craigslist. Knowing that we would need some history of each car, I bought a package from Car Fax, so each time we would want to see a car, we would have the owner fax us the VIN number so we could do a background check. After the 4th time, we found a great 1-owner, no accident vehicle in our budget. The car fax information really put our mind at ease making the decision. Thanks.

Carfax is the best because it gives you all the details about the car and from there you can know to buy the car or not.

I got in a bad accident with my 2004 Ford Mustang GT and totaled the car beyond the repairable point. I was in search of a 2005 Ford Mustang GT as a replacement and found one used with 14,000 miles. I had put a $500 deposit down on the car to hold it. I was smart enough to submit a Car Fax report on the car, only to find out the Mustang had been in an accident in Kansas City, Missouri. I withdrew my purchase offer and had to fight to get my deposit back. I ended up purchasing a new 2006 Ford Mustang GT for the same price. Thanks to Car Fax for saving me more grief. I will use Car Fax for every other car I purchase.

It is very useful to check carfax before making the final decision. It will provide more comprehensive information than the owner. If carfax can provide more detail information about service, it would be perfect!

I found a Pontiac Soltice and checked with Carfax. I found the reports to be very comprehensive and more information than I had expected. One of the cars had been involved in an accident too! Thank you Carfax for watching out for us!!! Suzanne N.
