“I was going to buy a 2007 f150 and carfax showed me that it was a commercial vehicle. That easily changed my mind because i knew then that truck was put to work.”

“Was about to buy an aura integra had a clean title and all but the car fax told an entirely different story.It was involved in a few accidents and a case of title washing. Thanks to carfax I saved myself from a lot discrepancies. Recommended before you do anything it helps you out a lot trust me!!”

“I would not purchase a used vehicle without first reviewing the carfax. I am 45 years old and have purchased a few cars in my life and every time I purchase a used car I first ask for the VIN so I can review the CARFAX. There are too many situations that could happen that you might end up with a bad investment. With mother nature flooding areas you don't want to purchase a flooded vehicle. Just too many risks to figure in and Carfax takes the risk out. Plus when I go to sell a car, I offer the carfax, people will take a closer look if you offer the carfax up front. It shows you don't have anything to hide and are a serious seller. Highly recommend.”

“Car fax helped me to know the car history and this is a vital information which influenced me to purchase the used car. Car fax didn't provide all service information's associated with a car history. Though the car is serviced in Toyota dealership, it didn't capture those service records. It needs to ensure the all data are obtained correctly and more accurate information's are provided to customer. Potential buyers rely a lot car fax reports and if it fails to obtain and share the full car history a good car might lose its market value. Please take care of this issue,”

“We were interested in purchasing a car for a grand daughter with a family. We narrowed our choices to a Toyota sienna and a Honda Odyssey. We asked the car dealers to provide us with a Carfax report on the cars. The Toyota had a excellent price but the Carfax showed the mileage odometer had been turned back and the car had failed several inspections. The Carfax for the Honda looked good. We then took the Honda to a car inspection station to have a mechanic look at the car. The inspection station did a complete inspection of the car and reported that the car was pretty much as described in the carfax report and recommended the car for purchase. We purchased the Honda”

“My girlfriend and I were shopping for a used car on Craigslist. We found a 2007 Toyota Camry in Nashville with only 58k miles. We called and made an appointment to see the car and drove 2 hours to test drive the car. When we arrived, the car appeared to have more wear and tear than would be normal, so we had some questions on the accuracy of the cars history. We decided to check the Car Fax and the seller became very nervous. It turned out that the car actually had 172k miles and had been in 4 accidents!! Even though the title was clear, it was obvious that there was some serious fraud involved and we did not buy the car. The Car Fax report saved us from making a big mistake. Thanks!”

“I have been searching for a clean Chevy SSR for months and had decided to purchase a 05 because all the 06 were too much or to high in miles. I came across a 2006 with 15685 miles on it and 1st thing I did was pull a car fax to see how many owners their were and if it was clean, it was and I bought it that afternoon and had it shipped the very next day, and she is perfect. One owner with low miles, worth every dollar.”

“I planned to visit a used car dealership to buy a pickup. I decided to check the carfax prior to traveling to a neighboring state to buy. Wow, am I glad I checked. Turns out the vehicle had been involved in an accident and declared a total loss, had a salvage title. I steered clear and later found the vehicle I was looking for with a clean carfax report.”

“We have used CarFax four times now. Three times to sell cars in private transactions ($6,000-$10,000 each) and we used it to buy one car a few years ago. As the owner of cars with the reports run on them I was pleased with the accuracy and felt it was very representative of the history of the vehicles. This meant when I was ready to step up to a more expensive used vehicle I felt I could trust the information, so we had the seller give us a CarFax on it, and here a few years later it seems it was spot on. The vehicle has run as expected given the history. Overall I love the service, both as a vehicle buyer and seller.”

“The Carfax report said that the car I was looking at was significantly over Blue Book value based on the maintenance records. The previous owner brought the car into the dealership every time the slightest issue arose. I bought it to go cross-country, and I knew I needed something reliable. “Paying so much for a pre-owned vehicle made be nervous. The owner seemed like a nice, honest guy but I was still hesitant so I ordered a Carfax report. Much to my relief, I discovered everything the previous owner told me was true and Carfax informed me exactly how much time I had left on the manufacturer's warranty.
