Hi, Those guys came out of nowhere, some 6 months through my Car Insurance, claiming that my car details are incorrect, that it was showing Manual rather than Automatic. Obviously, I got back to me saying that the information was supposedly retrieved from the DVLA database and that it cannot be incorrect unless they messed with it. They claimed it was Confused.com fault and insisted on me paying the extra charge. No way they would try to solve the problem which happened between them and between Confused.com, no way they would try to show any good will, no way they try to take any action to keep the customer and make them happy. One of the most disgusting I've ever experienced!

You have the audacity to ask for a renewal premium of £640 for my car insurance, when I can find the same cover for £390 with a high street name. I feel that this is just taking advantage of a loyal customer, who is old and you therefore think is not likely to change insurers. In short you are nothing but a bunch of crooks, and I will not be renewing my car insurance with you. Also when my Buildings & Contents cover comes up for renewal, I will be looking for alternative cover, as I can not trust Castle Cover anymore

Really annoying tactics to get you to pay more after giving initial competitive quote. Long list of extras. A phone call also followed up on this tactict. This does not give you confidence in the company's professionalism. All very disappointing.

You Over quoted me on my renewal but were the most competitive on Moneysupermarket.com. If principle ruled and it was only for £10 I would not be writing this now. To make it worse when your call centre phoned to see if I was renewing they told me the price they had given was the best they could offer. Out by at least 25%. Not impressed. Probably trading standards issue?

Not impressed so far! I was unable to register my account and view my documents using the information given by the company. Had to phone several times and listen to a long message before speaking to an operator who advised that the link was not working properly, after ringing again I was told I should check I am entering my postcode correctly (?). Needless to say after finally being given my policy number I was able to log in, all this under the duress off 'urgently logging on to provide important information to avoid my policy being cancelled'. I was then phoned in the middle of the working day to 'check a few details'. As I clearly stated my occupation on the form I would expect to be contacted outside of my working hours. All this doesn't give me confidence if I should have to make a claim.

Rubbish key " cover". In fact, covers nothing!!! I lost my spare key abroad and because did not have castle cover hob (ugly looking) attached to the key, they wouldn't replace it. DOES IT HAVE TRACKING DEVICE or what, LOL? Thieves.... Had to cancel it. What a waste!!!!!!

needed to change the start date on my brand new policy, the company said I could not change the start date , would have to cancel the whole policy and start all over again, which would have been a waste of my time, money and energy, staff who spoke to me were rude and dismissive. did not renew my new policy, took my business else where

Absolutely shocking. Insured by car with them and uploaded by proof of no claims as requested. Was later notified by letter that my policy had been cancelled a week previously because my no claims didn't state which car it referred to. Even though it clearly stated the car and my name and address. They made no attempt to contact by email or phone to notify me of the cancellation only a letter a week later so I had no insurance for over a week. They're customer services couldn't understand why it had been cancelled, and then wanted extra payment to reinstate the policy. Don't if they are just incompetent or just trying to con more money out of me. The same proof of no claims was excepted by another insurer with no problems.

Horrendous wait times on to get through on 08 number. constantly gave up trying to amend my policy. do not touch this company.

Quote a reasonable price which I paid on line, the they email for more money adding a penalty charge as well. The details I gave were 100% honest, there are just a bunch of crooks

recieved an email saying my car insurance was cancelled due to my direct debit being cancelled by me. This email was sent 2 days AFTER castle cover cancelling my insurance so I was driving around for 2 days uninsured! I phoned my bank first to make sure my account was ok. It was fine and my bank had no record of any direct debit being set up. I then phoned castle cover at 5.40. Held in a queue for 20 mins and dead on six I get the message "Sorry are offices are now closed, please call back duing the hours of ..." So in the morning I phoned them up. They said they contacted me on the 29/1 telling me of the problem. I said I received nothing. The woman on the line insisted they did. I knew she was lying as I checked the policy on the 14/2 as I needed the policy number for my meerkat toy. There was no letter on my account at the time. She then told me because my DD had been cancelled without their permission, I now have to pay for a whole year! I said why can it not be set up again? She used the same excuse. I offered a different bank account, yet again the same reply. In the end I had to not only pay the month they tried to take, but also a cancellation fee, that was not my fault, plus a whole years policy just so I could get back on the road and to work! Can safely say they will not be getting any of my money again
