“I paid the renewal fee by credit card.When I received the policy papers it stated that the payments would be taken by monthly direct debits.
On contacting Castle Cover they confirmed the full payment had been taken and would cancel the DD.
I asked a further question and was told the information was on page 18. I pointed out that my documents ended at page 10 !! I asked to be sent the correct papers. After 7 days I am still waiting for the correct papers !!”

“Obtained a quote via comparethemarket.com. Very easy to obtain quote & to accept it on the Castle Cover website. Have rang & spoke to Castle staff twice & they were very helpful.”
“Everything was fine. However after I'd taken out the policy, they rang me up using the excuse of letting me know I could submit my NCB online (which I had already done). However in reality it was a sales call where they attempted to upsell me on all sorts of stuff.
What the f*** is it about these companies that makes them think they have a right to waste your time just because you've used them for a common everyday transaction.
I would also note that EVERYTHING they tried to upsell me on was something I had already declined during the process of taking out the policy. So not only were they wasting my time, but also insulting my intelligence by second-guessing my decisions.”

“I have not renewed my policy with Castle Cover as I thought an increase in the premium of about 27% rather over the top. I appreciate there had to be an increase but not to that extent. I have gone elsewhere on the same conditions and it is £150 cheaper than Castle. I am therefore no longer with Castle as despite talking to one of the Castle staff there was no relenting on the price quoted. “You quoted more than double the premium for renewal and I got nowhere when I called you about it. I therefore cancelled the policy and went elsewhere.”
