“I still day the Catos in Grenada MS is one of the best Catos. The store displays are always looking fashionable, colorful and pretty. The staff is always courteous, friendly and professional. The store manager, Ms. Claudette makes you feel welcome all the time. I have frequent a lot of Catos stores in the south and this is the best one, yet.”
“I love shopping at your Catos store in Salem VA. All of the girls are so nice, friendly and helpful. Each associate greets the customers as they come in the door, asked if they need help finding anything, even take clothes customers have selected and lay them by the register so we can continue to shop . One of the associates, I think she told me her name was Kay, she is so helpful, she helped with putting complete outfits together w/ accessories and shoes. I haven't been shopping in so long, I wasn't aware of all the new styles that are out and Kay was right now, very knowledgeable and informative.”
“Just received my shipment. Everything I ordered arrived 5 days after placing my order. I tried every garment on and LOVED them!!! Every piece fit perfectly. I'm 5'11" so the longer lengths of the skirts work perfectly for me. I've never had any fashion store meet all of my expectations in an order. I usually send things back, get annoyed by items that were in stock not shipping, shipping the wrong size, poor quality. But none of that in this shipment. I'm blown away. Well done Cato!!! I will be ordering again.”

A store in Mtn Home Arkansas didn't wait on anyone that came into the store this week when I went in. The workers stood by the registers and didn't even approach anyone to help them.”

“I happen to work for Cato . I have been with them for 8 1/2 years . I get on this site and see all of the negative reviews of this company and I understand why I see some of these reviews.
On the other hand , there are times when customers come in with a really bad attitude. We welcome every customer that walks into our store. Half the time , the customers are on their phones and don't give us the time of day. The other half of the time , they come into the stores with their own rotten attitudes but consider the employees at fault when we fail to treat them like royalty . I'm way to old and way to tired to play games with grown women. If you don't want to be treated rudely , don't be rude to the people who ARE trying to help you. Get over yourselves , grow up and treat US the way you expect to be treated.”
“By reading the reviews of other customers, it has become painfully clear that Catos management does not care about customer service. I’m in Sioux Falls, SD. The “store manager” is very rude and uncaring. They used to care when someone entered the store. But now they just ignore you. When you bought something, the sales person used to walk around the counter, smile and hand you your purchase. Now they barely look up. It has changed so much. , you never know if you should drive all the way to the store since it’s hit and miss that someone will actually be working there.
I don’t know who does your interviewing for a job positions but it needs serious improvement stop worrying about employee theft (I heard it 1st hand) and start worrying about getting customers what they want and what they need.”

“I visit Cato all the time in Springfield Mo off Kansas Expressway. I spend 100$ of dollars in there monthly. I will no longer be shopping at Cato at this location. I went in to shop on Sat 4/23/2022 about 230pm and the lady working was not friendly at all! She was mid 20s short shoulder length jet black hair .When I approached the counter to check out she never smiled or spoke to me and once she got my items tallied up i added a necklace choker to my items for one of my kids, she huffed and I heard her puff and she jerked the necklace aside when i handed it to her to ring it up. When she finished checking me out she still never smiled I told her god bless you and have a nice day! Still no smile or any response. This will be my last experience of bad customer service at this store. I'm in customer service myself and the actions I received from this employee were unprofessional and unethical.

“Cato’s is not what it use to be. Their quality of clothing as gone down 90% I purchased a blouse, wore it twice I started to see the front of it getting fuzzy so I washed it in cold water and that really messed the blouse up, the sleeves threading came loose, thread was everywhere. Another blouse I purchased did the same thing I went to the store told them about it and the person that was working apologize and refunded my money. What’s happening to Catos? That was my go to store. They charge to much for their clothes if it’s not on Clearance and it’s gets ruin by wearing a couple of times let alone if you wash it. I will be finding another go to store.”
“Store 01136 in San Antonio: I was in the store 20 minutes and was asked 8 times “are you doing ok”. I felt hounded and right when looking at something new here came another associate. Totally ridiculous and made for an uncomfortable/suffocating experience. This has happened twice at this store. No other and I shop lots of different stores and even in different states. I called and the manager said it was their policy. Once, twice I could see but this is overkill at this store ONLY. Won’t go back there!”
“The return policy even when you have your receipt, the tags are attached they will give you half price if your past the 60 days I was 5 days later than 60 like I told the sales clerk when I purchased I would be for my sisters birthday gift. They cheated me out of $25 dollars rather than keep a happy customer. I tried to call the corporate office.They could only send an email which they did. I waited for twenty minutes and the district manager Lisa Larimer called from 863 399 0878 she was unable or unwilling to help. I was given a credit for half what I paid and told "I'm Sorry" this store has cute er tops but the quality of pants is terrible. I have shopped here for years but today changes that.
