My shopping experience was lovely until I reached the register where the cashier was very rude and was giving unnecessary attitude. This was at the Cato Fashions at 1324 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29210. I did not appreciate her rudeness.

You don’t carry any extra small or small in your stores. Only tons of large and extra large. Believe me, there are some smaller sized women in today’s world. So frustrated. And you have made all the clothes so big!! I think you are trying to get the stores to fail. Someone needs to look into what they are putting in the stores. The store I go to is always filled with only the larger sizes. The nice sales people say they hardly ever get the small sizes. Such a shame.

I live in Hawaii and placed an order 27 days ago and have not received it. I’ve paid the extra shipping only to find out they only ship using Standard which can take up to 60 days which no where it states in their website according speaking to their Customer service representative. In their website it states other wise. This is ridiculous. I will never buy anything from them again. Listen to your customers and pay using priority mail.. don’t cheat us to save a buck.

I shopped online because the customer service at my local Cato is horrible. Guess what? So is the online service. Ordered a pair of shoes on 2/8. I never received them. I emailed the company several times and it was always "please allow so many days and there was a holiday too" blah, blah, blah. Everything I ordered afterwards from other companies was delivered. I finally had enough on 2/23 and demanded a refund. Either they lost it or someone in receiving/shipping stole them because they never made it to UPS. I've been in customer service for 30 years and if you value your customers you will do anything to keep and make your customers happy. They only apologized after I confronted them. They have lost a wonderful customer because I always get compliments when I wear their merchandise. I will never give them my business or money again. 😠

The Cato Fashions stores in Montgomery Alabama on Ann St. and Atlanta Hwy managers and employees have bad attitudes and jealousy towards light skinned black women who shop regularly in their stores. The employees and managers are lazy, do not want to check you out at the register, and do not show respectful attitudes, and do not want to honor valid refunds. I have spent hundreds to thousands of dollars at their stores. I will no longer shop at any Cato Fashions stores in Montgomery Alabama on Ann Street and Atlanta Hwy. They need to change their hateful and disrespectful attitudes toward valuable customers.

Cato is no longer my go to clothing store, I am hard pressed to find 18pw. Or any size jeans for that matter which don’t have frayed hems or holes, not all of us want jeans that look like they were washed on the beach as trash. The blouse selection is lacking in color, classic keveryday styles that could even pass for as business casual, and flattering . Now where do I go. So disappointing I went to all 6 stores in San Antonio, I did not make into ppl ku This why I turn to Amazon to

Order a pair of pants that were to big.retuned the the very next day. Still had price tags on them and online reciept. They wanted to see if they were on sale so they could give me back just part of my money. The way they try to keep your money is disgusting.

If I could give the Walterboro store a -5 I would for sure. I shopped here all the time multiple days a week spending 200+ on every visit. I stopped going here in the past because if ustomer service. I tried again this evening and now I remembered why all over again. When I walked in the two ladies were so loud I heard there whole "personal" conversation. I grabbed my belongings ,went to the front and asked to try on the items, the Youngs ladies told me no. Once they cleaned the rooms that was it for the night. Please understand I work in retail and I would never stop a sale because of a fitting room being cleaned. I know there are policies in place but my family and I have done alot of buisness with you. That has stopped for good now. These ladies were just being lazy to the fact.

It's that the plus size clothes on the web page are old fashioned and not a great selection at all. I use to love shopping at catos but now not at all would be my last option to stop by and look for clothes

I also work for this company, I have for almost 4 years. My complaint with the company is how greedy they are . As an employee , I , along with everyone else who works for them , make them thousands and thousands of dollars each month . I make 12.50 an hour as an ASM . My son makes 15 an hour bagging at Kroger. Anyone see the problem with this besides me ? Also , On the rare occasion we make bonus , I receive 100 dollars . After 28 per cent taxes are taken out , I get a lousy 72 dollars. What an insult ! I come to work every day. I give 100 per cent every day. I give them everything I've got to make my store the best that it can be. I know it's the same with many more Assistant Managers within the company. The clothing they are sending to the stores are worse quality that they've ever been and cost more every few weeks. How can we even afford to buy their clothes now that they are so high? Especially when they REFUSE to pay us and they can become rich. The new name I have given them is Greedy B's. You can figure that one out on your own. I recently separated from my husband. Trying to make it on 12.50 an hour is quite the challenge. One that is not working very well for me OR my son. I have never HAD to work until now. I have very few choices as to where I can work as I was a stay at home mom and have few skills that can bring in more money. CATO , PLEASE PAY US WHAT WE ARE WORTH . Remember , it's the "Little people " , the way you make us feel , that make you rich while you leave us poor.

I've been shopping Cato's for nearly 25 years. 90% of my closet is Catos. Yesterday the I shopped the Cato's at 4407 Ambassador Caffery, Lafayette, La. The lady working was one of the absolute rudest employees I've ever come across in my history of shopping with them! I simply wanted her to check to see if any of the items I had on layaway had been discounted. Her very rude response was, "None of this has been discounted!!!!" She could have simply said, "Let me check for you". In the past when you had items you were holding the clerk would ask, "Do you need me to start a dressing room for you". So polite. This lady obviously doesn't begin to know what customer service looks like. Some of the posters were not falling off the wall, etc. Just an overall bad experience. One bad apple spoils the whole bunch because it will be awhile before I enter a Cato's. I made to feel like a bother instead of a loyal customer!

You don't EVER want to shop online with Cato. It can take up to 30 days for a refund AFTER the warehouse decides to confirm that they received your return. PLUS shipping charges will be deducted from your refund. I have yet to have a good customer service experience (called 3 times about my return). The Customer Service reps apparently feel that your call is irrelevant and they could not care less about the status of your purchase or your return (yet your purchase keeps them employed). There were 2 parts of the return label. I used one part to put on the outside of the package, and kept the second/bottom part for my records, as instructed. However, the part that I kept did not have all of the information that was needed when I called about the status of my refund. It did not have the tracking number. So customer service reps had no idea whether the distribution center had received my return; though I used THEIR return label. Based on my several calls, it seems that the customer service department can not see any information from the distribution center regarding returned items, so they have no idea of what to say to you about the status of your return and your refund so they become unconcerned and rude to get you off the phone. Cato's antiquated internal IT systems (customer service vs. distribution center) are not my concern, and as a customer I should not have to suffer because of it. Again, you don't EVER want to shop online with Cato.

I ordered a pair of their pants online -- they arrived stained and damaged. When I reached out to customer service about a shipping label return, they said I had to pay for the return shipping. Daisha (customer service person) denied being able to see (obvious) damage in the photos I sent and refused to help in any way. Daisha's rudeness and lack of skills resulted in Cato losing a customer over a $6.95 shipping label.

Disrespectful management 4.1.22 Stacy Romero acting manager at 5700 University Place Boulevard, Charlotte NC. Customer asked if they had an item in the plus side, Stacy replied “I don’t know this is not my store”. When the customer was checking out she said to Stacy, I shop here all the time it would have been nice if you could have looked to see if the item was available, but you made know effort to help me. She was not rude merely expressing that she would like to have had assistance. Stacy, called the other worker and walked away from the register, as the customer was telling her what happened Stacy comments from across the store loudly and rudely. After the customer said to Stacy that she has never had this experience in Cato and shops this store very regularly Stacy said, we’re all tired what do we expect her to do and just continued very disrespectfully. After listening and waiting over five minutes I asked the cashier who is managing the store, on to find out Stacy was acting manager. Then Stacy said, I call my manager for you. I told her, her actions were very inappropriate and disrespectful. Then Stacy begins walking back and forth talking rudely. The other worker never attempted to interject or ask Stacy to not comment. I was totally offended by her actions and comments of disrespect.

The Cato on Colllege Rd in Wilmington NC has definitely gone down hill. I have shopped there for at least 3 years and the Old manager Dana was the bomb I have spent thousands of dollars in that store and when she left the new staff is awful. They could care less if you are in the store or not. They are dressed so sloppy to say the least. Cato has been my go too for years but after the last few experiences I have had with them in the Wilmington Store on College Road, I will shop elsewhere. I have called the District Manager twice and expressed my concern and she does absolutely nothing. I will never shop at CATO again as long as they have that rude and unfriendly staff at the store on College Road.

I placed an order online with Cato in January and was advised to wait 2 weeks for my order. It has been over 30 days and I still don't have my order. Customer Service recommended that I contact the store. The store says it was shipped on January 13th but they don't know what happened to the order. Have we not heard of tracking orders and simple research? I had to go back to Customer Service and tell them to resend or refund. It has been over a week and still no refund. I am done with Cato at this point. Online orders used to arrive in one week. Now with the pandemic it was 2 weeks. In my case, it is never.

As an employee they do not appreciate us any more than the customers. The pay is barely above minimum wage, they want you to accomplish unimaginable feats of work in one day or less. They are more concerned about us stealing than others. They do not follow their own guidelines. This to name just a few. Agree, the clothes are not of good quality. Made in Bangladesh.
