“The absolute WORST booking experience of my life! I “booked” my flight Saturday at 3:00 pm. DONE! Phew! (Or so I thought!) I hate booking flights, it’s always stressful! I looked through flights for days trying to find the perfect time and days and airports to go out of and of course a price that I was willing to pay. It was such a relief to secure a price I felt comfortable with… AND THEN… I got an email that night at 8:00 pm, 5 hours after my flight had been booked and I had given them my credit card. It said, “Greetings From Cheapflightsfares Please be informed that we tried to process your reservation request under Booking ID _______ The process is on hold due to fare issue. Please contact us at your earliest convenience at +1-510-906-8071 for further action on this booking.” I call them right away and spend the next TWO HOURS on the phone arguing with them because they told me the airlines prices had gone up before my flight was processed so I was either going to have to pay the new price or go find another flight!!! WHAT? How is that even legal? It’s not! It was 100% fraudulent what they did to me! I am still seething about what a crooked company they are and how wrong and fraudulent the whole thing was! I said, “no other payment interaction in the world does this, if I went to Walmart and bought a loaf of bread and left, I would never get a call from Walmart saying, ‘I’m sorry to inform you that the demand of bread went up in the last 5 hours, so we have raised the price and are going to charge your card the extra money for the new price of bread.’ That would NEVER happen! It’s totally illegal!” Their response… “Ma’am, this is not Walmart and this is not bread, you can either pay the new price or you can go look for another airline ticket.” Obviously I knew there was no cheaper flight that would work for me. I had already “booked” the cheapest flight that would work for me out there. After two hours of arguing with them and going absolutely no where, I ended up paying $150 more than my original payment. I will be calling my lawyer!”

“You tried to extract extra money from me after I paid for a flight fare. Your customer support lied to me and told me that a flight was booked when the airline's website clearly showed it was not. I will avoid using your site in the future at all costs.”

“There were problems charging my non-US credit card, but customer service worked out a verification process using my email, and all was fixed. In the end, I am quite satifisfied. The total price paid was a few hundred dollars less than booking exactly the same flight with the airline.”
