I ordered the cotton canvas in white to replace my original white covers. This fabric is thinner then the original twill from IKEA and seems to attract every particle of floating dust so they always look dirty. The originals did not have this issue. I was so excited to be extending the life of my very comfortable ekeskog sofa and arm chairs, but disappointed at the price point for the fabric quality. Although it was a lot cheaper than buying new furniture, I'm not sure it was a wise investment. Its been 4 months since purchase and will just have to see how they hold up. I do wish I had gone with a solid colour since you can see through the white.

Hi Melissa, sorry to hear about this and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Just to clarify, our fabrics are of our own and different from IKEA's original fabrics. We would appreciate to be given a chance to troubleshoot this for you. Our customer service team will reach out shortly to see how we can help you moving forward. We have had our covers for a couple of months now and I wanted to wait to see how they performed to write a full and honest review. The ordering process was initially straightforward, we submitted the order and then found that the fabric we had selected was out of stock. We had to order new samples and reselect. We chose Everyday Tweed in Grey, which I will comment on more later. This was 3rd December 2019. Admittedly I dropped the ball on sending the measurements in a timely manner, and that extended the process. Unfortunately then COVID hit and slowed down the process, which is completely understandable. What is not though, is that when business appeared to resume, it would often take a week to get a response to emails or questions. All the while I was continuing to get marketing emails looking for more business. The response to one of my emails is that they were very busy with new orders, and I was now behind over 100 customers for production. I suggested at the time that perhaps they should slow down taking new orders if they could not cope with the orders they had. After considerable back and forward the measurements were confirmed on 24th June 2020. This is when I feel it all started to fall apart. I was repeatedly emailed to answer questions that I had already answered, or confirm things I had already confirmed. I would email for updates and receive no response at all from our assigned customer service rep, but then sign into chat and receive answers straight away from other people. It felt like a lot of excuses. On October 13th I was told I was 69th in the queue and it would be approximately another two to three weeks. On 28th October, I received a shipping confirmation from Fed-Ex, but to the wrong address. When we ordered our samples, Bermuda was not listed as a shipping location and we used a mail forwarder in Florida, but before placing the order for the covers, I specifically asked and had confirmed to me, that the covers would be shipped to Bermuda. Attempts were made to have the covers diverted to Bermuda but it was not possible. We paid an additional $250 to have them shipped to Bermuda. There was a token offer made of a contribution towards that shipping, but to be honest by that point, I was so annoyed and frustrated, I could not actually bring myself to reply to the email, and it didn't even amount to half of the additional shipping anyway. When we eventually received the covers in November 2020, I have to say, they initially fit perfectly and looked great and this went some way towards making the process worthwhile. However, in all honesty, barely three months later, the fabric is not performing well. The pilling is horrendous, to the point that I lightly shaved some of the cushions before we had friends over because it's embarrassing. We've now flipped them, but the other side is starting to look fluffy too so we will probably get another couple of months out of them. I feel strongly that the tweed fabric should have a pilling warning as some of the other fabrics do. If we had known this in advance we would have chosen another fabric. We paid $1900 (plus additional shipping) for covers that I think we will probably get six months out of. Meaning that we either have to buy more, or throw the sofas away. I'm not totally opposed to having more covers made, now that I know what to expect from the process and set my expectations lower, but hopefully in a fabric that performs substantially better.

The material is soft but the fit is lumpy in some areas. Customer service was impossible to reach prior to the order being shipped. Overall, I'm not sure if I would purchase from here again - certainly not for the price that we paid.

Hey there, thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear about the experience that you've faced with us so far -- I checked your email against your order but it seems like we haven't received any unfortunately. Nevertheless, could you kindly send us a photo of your sofa in full view so that we can see this lumpy issue? Our email address is info@comfortworks.com.au -- hope to hear from you soon!

Quite dissappointed with the product. The fit is very baggy with seems that are not straight and consiquently the cover looks scruffy. I was also hit with additional import tax charges which werent communicated at the time of making the order. The fabric is also not what I was expecting from the images on the website.

Hey Sarah! So sorry to hear about the fit issues. I have sent you an email to get some photos to visually get on the same page as you then we can work something out together. Unfortunately, for the fabric not being as you've expected - I see that you did not get any fabric samples first to compare as we do suggest before checking out. This is a bummer because photos online would not be the best to gauge color and texture. As for import taxes, we always do reimburse up to 60GBP, so please reply to the email with the receipt and I'll get that sorted for you as well. Speak soon - Ning from Comfort Works

this is my 3rd slip cover I ordered from them. They do a great job up to this last time. I ordered Madison sand to match my other Madison sand sofa and the fabric they made my slip cover with is NOT Madison sand. Very disappointed. Hopefully they will correct this issue.

Hey Sue, I understand the frustration. We are so so sorry. Please allow me to speak to the fabric and product team and see what we can do about this. We do know sometimes natural fabrics differ from batches but nonetheless, we understand you bought the covers to have a complete set in your home and that is what we will try to work towards via email. Speak soon, Sue. Stay safe and healthy in the meantime. x Ning from Comfort Works.

My custom cover for my Ikea sofa arrived as promised, and fits like a dream. My only beef (and it's a big one) is that the fabric is not velvet. I had dreams of a beautiful rich green velvet, and it was called velvet, but this is actually some sort of felt-like microfiber. But...the price was good, and the quality of the sewing is great. It fits better than the original Ikea cover.

Hey Adrienne! Such a bummer to hear that our Velvet Emerald did not live up to your expectations. We do categorize it as velvet due to its shine finish and the appropriate velvet nap to the touch. We do strongly urge all our customers to get some samples before deciding the fabric so they can get a sense of what they would be getting at the end of the day. No worries, I sent an email to you, and let's see how we can help. :) Ning from Comfort Works

I’m a little underwhelmed by the experience. Firstly it appeared that the products would be shipped from Australia. But they’re sent from China. The sofa legs also appear more orange in person (Beech colour) and one has a crack in it.

Hey Karmin, Thanks for your feedback, we're not sure what gave the impression that we'd be shipping the products from China nor do try to hide this fact - you can read more here: https://comfort-works.com/en/content/our-story-4/ With the sofa legs however, do contact us (with photos) if there are issues with the product and we'll sort them out for you - we do apologise if our product has missed the mark and will work closely with you to find an amicable resolution accordingly. The replacement covers work. It took several months (granted, during challenging global conditions), but I would recommend that the measurement process be a standard part of every order.

Hey Kelsie! The covers look great - almost an upholstered look. :) For IKEA slipcovers, we usually do not ask for measurements because the slipcovers are templated from original IKEA ones. The cushion covers which did not fit were made using a wrapped style when the original one is made with boxed style. After changing the styles and sticking to the original measurements - it looks like the fit is great! :) Thank you for giving us the chance to provide you with free replacement after figuring out what went wrong. The product team has been notified that there is an issue with a style affecting measurements and will be working to either fixing it or removing the style completely. It's feedback like this that keeps us growing and getting better for you! So, thank you so much, Kelsie. Stay safe and enjoy the new covers! :) Ning from ComfortWorks

I am crafty with fabric myself so I will try to provide constructive criticism. The cover is made of a very thin fabric and lining with no padding in between. In this case the fit has to be somewhat tight to look nice. Well it is not. It is baggy and the face fabric bubbles over the lining as two layers are barely attached to each other. The real IKEA slip covers for this model are heavy, padded and able to keep this simple shape.

Overall I am satisfied with the slip covers for my IKEA sectional couch, however they did take a couple weeks longer than expected to receive, and the fit is a bit loose. I am in North America so not sure if that added any complications to shipping. The covers on both the frame and cushions have a much looser fit than the original covers, so I they do not look quite as modern and clean as the originals. I could not find any other options for replacements, so I guess I will have to be satisfied with the way they fit. The material choices were great, and I appreciate the efforts that were put into making the covers.

Hi Ian! Thank you for your feedback! We pulled up your order to find that it did indeed take longer to ship than the usual 3-4 weeks pre-Covid restrictions. The team was unable to return to work until around the second week of February (to ensure all team members are healthy). As you can imagine, the virus has caused a rather heavy backlog for the team and we do apologize for the delays. As for your slipcovers, perhaps you could send us photographs of the fit so we may look into a solution for you? Thank you.

I am happy with the sofa cover itself but not really happy about service... I was charged extra 24GBP "import charge" and I would appreciate if this information was more visible for customers when at the final point of purchase.

Hey there! Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear about the less-than-satisfactory experience. We actually do try to practice transparency and inform our customers about import duties (where applicable) at checkout, as well as sending another email post-purchase about this. We also state that we reimburse this (up to 60GBP) upon sending us a receipt so we'd like to think we've got you covered. Should there be anything else we can do to improve our efforts nevertheless do let us know. Hope to hear back from you soon!

I order cover for my 3 seat Kivik sofa and received it 2 weeks later but the covers where small I wrote them asking for replacement because my husband and I really liked the quality of the leader covers and had quick response asking for pictures I send them and they where agreed to send me replacement which was on 14.11.19 and still waiting for it to be delivered. Chuck, whom I was communicating was very helpful I was quite surprised I wasn’t expecting too much from them but was wrong. I hope this time to be the correct size and to be delivered on time. I will be giving them full stars if everything is Ok with the replacement.

Thanks for your feedback! Our Everyday Tweed Grey fabric is actually our most basic fabric which we feel is very comfortable actually - did you get fabric samples prior to purchase to see (and feel) your shortlist of fabric options? Nonetheless, this is the Friheten Loose Fit cover after all so it won't be easy to compete against the original, tailored upholstery that was stapled onto it. It might be subject and for what it's worth, we think it looks good! Nevertheless, we do understand your rating and how you feel about the product - thanks again and we'll definitely strive on ways to make the product better where possible. Cheers, Chuck

The cover is well made and easy to put on the sofa, but the "extra durable" material is not even as thick as the original IKEA coverings - which is a bit of a disappointment.

Whilst the sofa cover is well-made in terms of finish, zips, etc overall, its a bit of a disappointment. Firstly, the process took far longer than the website imples, and whilst the holiday period may have slowed things up, there could have been better and faster communication. Secondly, whilst I would expect folds in the fabric covers following shipping, I didn't expect the covers to be so creased - they look like they've been screwed up. I'm now going to have to take it all off (after checking it fits - see below), and heavily iron it. Not something I'd expected to have to spend time on. As to the fit, its made on the big side. This means that, unlike the original IKEA version, its not stretched to the velcro and so 'bags' at the corneres/edges and looks pretty much like the cheap(ish) cover it is. I'm assuming that will allow for shrinkage in washing (although it claims to be pre-shrunk). The fabric (I chose Gaia white) certainly isn't as heavy as the IKEA version, and despite it apprently being 'medium heavy' I have a feeling its not going to stand up to cat's claws walking all over it. Although it doesn't matter because you don't see them, the cushion bases and base of the cover are a grey synthetic fabric, whereas the original version was also a (lighter-weight) cotton. It would have been good to have been told that in the website description. Based upon the whole experience, I'm not that impressed and wouldn't buy from them again.

Beware if paying with PayPal - my PayPal account is linked to my credit card which I used to purchase my new covers. When the transaction appeared on my credit card statement the bank had charged me a $30 overseas transaction fee which I wasn't expecting as ComfortWorks is based in Melbourne and I'm in Sydney. When I queried the bank they told me that PayPal had requested the funds to be transferred to an account in Hong Kong. I queried with PayPal why the transaction had been processed through Hong Kong and they told me that was to do with the location of the seller. When I asked them to confirm the location of the seller as I believed it was in Melbourne, not Hong Hong, they wouldn't for privacy reasons and referred me back to ComfortWorks. ComfortWorks told me this had never happened to any of their customers before. I asked ComfortWorks to approach PayPal to investigate why this transaction had gone wrong. After many, many emails it transpired that ComfortWorks does indeed have a production facility in Hong Kong (where all the covers are actually made) and this is the likely reason that PayPal processed the payment via Hong Kong. I asked for ComfortWorks to either refund me the $30 fee or work with PayPal to correct the transaction to a domestic one so that the bank would refund the fee. Despite this request ComfortWorks just kept referring me back to my bank and I gave up and copped the $30. The covers themselves are really great and I'm very happy with them. Long story short if you are Oz-based and will be charged overseas transaction fees from your bank for a Hong Kong transaction, use a payment method that avoids this.
