I paid £157.43 to this company they did not do my removal at all I told them there was one flight of stairs and I needed help from the van driver when I received a confirmation they said I do not need help from the van driver and there are no stairs I cancelled this straightaway and I’ve since been emailing them to get my money back and they have not responded to me they only responded through to me by Trust pilot because of the review I left on there-they’ve taken my money and not bothered about me this is a scam and it is stealing I’m still fighting to get my money back they called me yesterday when the review went up and now I’m going to post reviews everywhere I want my money back and I told you that I’m going to fight this it’s not your money you did not deliver the service and the confirmation was wrong you phoned me yesterday and you apologised and you said you understood the situation and that you will be give me a full refund you said that you sent me an email and you still haven’t sent me an email you call me on some number that I don’t even know and I didn’t even know who I was speaking to I photo shotted everything in regards to the order that was made in the first place and this was the order that I cancelled with the van driver I even asked the van driver if you have a telephone number and they said that you don’t have no telephone number your online chat which mentions 24 seven live chat does not work all your telephone numbers do not work and it seems that you’re doing this to a lot of people and you need to stop

**WARNING** We used this company for our house move.. nobody turned up on the day and we were unable to reach ANYONE!! Couldn’t reach the driver or the company itself. Seems like the phone lines were intentionally disconnected?? Still haven’t heard back from anyone and they have taken my money! **SCAM**

STAY CLEAR !! This company is happy to take your money but not happy to give it back when you’re dissatisfied I made an order with this company and I said that I wanted help from the driver and I said that there was a flight of stairs when I received the confirmation it said that I don’t need any help from the driver and there are no stairs I’ve tried to get in contact with them 24 hour chat link it does not work I’ve tried the telephone numbers it is out of service there is no one to talk to nothing now I have to go through PayPal to fight to get my money back they are completely useless PLEASE SAVE YOUR MINEY AND STAY WELL CLEAR !!

The company has some very good drivers however due to the non excitant customer service there is now no quality control, in a nut shell their slowing drivers to put in ridiculous quotes eg 2 men for 2.5 hours for £70 once you take of the fuel ULZ C charges you would be earning less then an employed courier, why on earth would you do this. Well to firstly squire the job as in this case the customer and I have to say foolishly chides cheap over reviews. The driver may turn up but has no real incentive as the quote is so low and may well have acquired a better paying job before your booking and drop you like a stone, they can do this with no come back as there is now no admin the idea being that drivers who provide low quotes in order to secure work only to not turn up or refuse to honour the booking details. The website was until ownership changed the best in the U.K. as it was built on the back of customer service. It now literally has none. My final point is this, there are extremely good service providers on the site who have competitive prices with hundreds of 5 star reviews if you chose these drivers you will be very satisfied. If for instance someone has completed 100 jobs but only has say 10 reviews please read between the lines. I’m sorry to have to leave this honest review but watching a perfectly working platform be raped by the corporates is so depressing. Please do youse the 5 star 10/10 provides on the site if you go with the highest reviews you will receive a great service if not take your chances and hope for the best. Driver asked for extra 50% for an extra trip although website said they should charge for fuel only (both trips fit the four hours I had booked for) Stay away

Should truly be no stars. Driver was late, probably slept between the journey and overcharged by 4 hours. Compare man and van didn’t help and driver knew the bad customer service so took advantage of the situation. Do not trust or use this company if you don’t want to go around chasing terrible customer service helpline for answers. Tried to ring customer service several times to get a resolve for the dispute but no call back, every-time I tried to call the helpline would get the same response that someone will be in touch soon. After hearing that a few times didn’t bother to try again cause that was a dead end. Should have read the reviews online and avoided this company. It’s better to go for another company that are charging slightly more cause this company will scam you to make up the difference.

When your van doesn't turn up. You cannot contact them. They promise another van at their convenience. If they don't send a van at your time you asked for phone your bank for a refund nit then

A big thank you to Mohiuddin and his work partner that helped me move house today. Communication was great, they are both friendly and helpful and made moving house that is always stressful, super fun and enjoyable. If I ever need help moving house in the future, this will be my first option. Once again thank you very much for all your hard work. I am a very pleased customer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We hired a van for 4 hours, with the understanding that the van would be free for the 4 hours, and that we could ask the driver to do two trips at the cost of petrol. The van was an hour late, they were rude and they refused to do 2 trips unless we gave them £125. Even then, they said they had another job to go to so I'm not sure it was ever booked for 4 hours, despite paying for them - they drove off after 1.5 hours. I contacted comparethemanandvan but they basically said I can't claim back unused hours and that I should have booked a stop when I booked the van. This wasn't clear at time of booking and the faqs when I booked stated that it was drivers discretion with petrol money payable for the extra trip, so this is what I'd prepared for. Not helpful at all and now half of our items are at our old house. I'm disabled so carrying heavy items is no longer an option for me sadly, so this has caused stress needlessly and has meant listing larger items we own for sale, to save us hiring again. To top it off, the driver told me they got £135 of the £254 I paid, so this company take a huge commission for booking through them. From now on we will book with companies direct. Would not recommend this service.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Worst customer service I've ever experienced I was waiting for 7 (SEVEN) hours till I finally managed to get something by myself and ask them to refund me. It was absolutely ridiculous how customer service had me going in circles saying the driver was on the way whilst the driver was telling me that he was absolutely full. And would not be able to attend till at least 4 hours after I was waiting 2 already. Seriously, don't do this to yourself, there are other options out there, I'm glad I was not tight

DO NOT BOOK! The driver didn’t arrive. There is no way to contact anyone about it other than a chat with a bot. Customer service is appalling. Getting a refund is almost impossible. It’s a joke. Go elsewhere.

Van booked and got confirmation email. On day of booking no one showed. Phoned the driver who said it wasn't his problem. Phoned customer service (who don't understand the meaning of the term) who begrudgingly organised another collection. The second collection then also never turned up. In the end i have given up and now have to wait 7-0 working days for a refund. Disgusting attitude, terrible customer service. Avoid at all costs

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and pathetic drivers. I had the worst experience with this website. I booked one van and it got canceled by the driver and then another driver was assigned automatically. In the last moment, the driver canceled the trip and was abusing me. Then I had to pay GBP 156 extra for another cab. DO NOT trust this service. They do not care at all for the customers.

I booked a van, got a confirmation email and they took my payment. When the van had not arrived yet, 15 minutes past the time they were due, I called the driver. The driver said that they had rejected the job and therefore weren't coming. I sent compare the man and van a message via their online chat to try to get a replacement van. It said that they usually take about 30 minutes to reply. Two days later it still says that my message has not been seen by them. I give up on that and reply to the email they sent me asking how the move went. No reply to that a couple of weeks later. They don't advertise a number to call on their website but I managed to find one online. Gave that a call and they said they would pass my case on to their "customer success team" , mark it as urgent and I can expect to hear from them soon. Still not heard anything, and they still haven't refunded my payment. It seems like this company will match you with a van, take your payment and they consider their job done at that point. If the driver accepts the job and turns up then it no doubt seems like the company is fine. If the driver rejects the job or doesn't turn up, they just take your money anyway and you never hear from them again.

An absolute nightmare, Please stay away Absolutely night mare company. I got cancelled twice a day by two drivers , very unprofessional they were telling me that they dont even know why compare the man and van showed them in their system. I contacted the chat support (no phone support available) and chat support will reply a hello in one hour. They have no empathy for your time and money. I promise will never ever use their website. Once I finally got chat to customer care each reply will come in 30-45 minute gap !!! So now my two booking cancellation refund(almost 150) will take 4 weeks to get refund. Please stay away !!!

Avoid this company. It was a stressful experience and I had to spend a lot of time and enery justy trying to get a refund. Fortunately I paid with Paypal so got a refund via a Paypal complaint. I was cautious enough to seek a direct confirmation from the driver I booked a week before moving. He said he couldn't do it and cancelled the job! The company allocated another driver to me which I was unhappy with so I requested a refund. All emails ignored; calls to the helpline had no effect. They took my payment and hoped I would just go away. I opened a case with Paypal which went in my favour. Otherwise the company would have just held on to the funds and probably never issued a refund.

DON'T USE THIER SERVICE AT ALL! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Here is what happened to me and my flatmate: On 13/07/2021 I contacted the Company through their website for a quote and to book the services on 21/07/2021 for removals from Chelsea Cloisters, Sloane Avenue, London, SW3 3DY to Sparkford House, Battersea Church Road, London, SW11 3NQ. The Company provided me with a quote of £49.84 and confirmed availability for the requested date of 21/07/2021 at 11:00 AM. The Company requested payment of a deposit of £15.19. On 14/07/2021, I paid the requested deposit and entered a “contractual agreement” for the Company’s services (see attached confirmation from the Company). On 21/07/2021 at 09:55 I received a confirmation by text (see attached) that the Company’s driver would arrive at our address on time within one hour. At 11:00 AM the driver had not arrived at our address despite the company having messaged to say that he was on his way. I initially tried to contact the Company directly but received no response. I then tried contacting the driver (Load Transporter) through the number on the confirmation email (07450263064). I was connected to a man who then connected me to the driver. I subsequently contacted the driver. The driver informed me that he would not be doing the removals job as he was not working. I immediately then phoned the company and who tried to reassure me that they would contact me as soon as possible to resolve the problem. Over two hours passed and I was never contacted by the Company. I contacted the Company again and the agent said that I would be contacted by them in due course. I was never contacted by the Company. This was extremely frustrating as my tenancy agreement at Sloane Avenue is coming to an end and I needed to have the apartment cleaned and the keys returned to the landlord on 22/07/2021 following the removals having taken place. I contacted the company by telephone but was provided with no alternative driver. The Company had breached its contractual obligations and I had no choice other than to book Bolt taxis for my removals is this was the most immediate means of carrying out our home move. The Bolt drivers did not help move their customers belongings from their apartments as they are not supposed to be providing removals services. My flatmate and I had therefore to painstakingly move the heavy suitcases downstairs (it was an extremely hot day with temperatures reaching 30°C) into the Bolt car and then to our new apartment. I had to hire Bolt drivers 5 times as we could not trust any removing companies anymore at that tough situation! I even fainted as a result of the physical exhaustion that I had to endure as a result of the Company not sending rendering its services and thereby not fulfilling its contractual obligations. Moreover, I contacted them via email and sent a formal complaint, no response and call from them. They were not responsive to our issue. We paid the deposit,no service, no refund!! They have terrible service and terrible customer service!! It is a shame!
