“Don't like the way it's packaged- it tears apart as they are all stuck to one another. It goes an odd colour (grey) .Not the same yummy taste as before.”

“As I stated in my email of the 30/01/18 this time (5th or 6th delivery) the broth arrived in partially thawed condition. Previous batches arrived perfectly solid and still frozen. My email mentioned this and I asked you if you considered it was safe to consume - I have to date received no reply. Apart from this 'blip' in your otherwise amazing service - I'm more than satisfied. This time your lack of follow up was way short of your usual high efficiency level.”

“I expected to receive a thick broth with bone gelatine in it that makes it thick - and instead I received watery broth evidently not made of many bones but made with a mixture of few bones & meat and other incrediences in it .... Disappointed”

Hi Eva, The Borough Broth co. cook their broths with a 40% bone ratio for 24 hours to try and extract as much gelatine as possible from the bones. However due to the organic supply of bones the gelatine content is never 100% consistent. However we have found our broths are some of the most gelatinous on the market so we're surprised you've not experienced this. This is the first complaint of it's kind like this. One question would be as you bought frozen broth - did you defrost the broth in the fridge or at room temperature? If at room temperature or heated up the gelatine won't gel in the same way as if it were fully defrosted and chilled. Either way we're sorry you haven't experienced the broth you were anticipating.

“The bird took much longer to cook than your 45mins per Kilo it was also very tough and sinewy. Taste was excellent though meat on firm side. Don't think I will be ordering again as a standard gresingham duck is much more tender. I understand this id due probably to the poor duck not getting much exercise. Maybe I went wrong in the cooking but I followed your advice but meat still bloody where wing meets body.”

“When my order arrived it had nearly thawed out completely. As I wanted it for Xmas dinner I was unable to refreeze it so bang went my dinner. I was supposed to receive a full refund but as of yet nothing has materialised. They didn't even bother to send a replacement and just left me to it. First time I've used this company. Very disappointed.”

“The plain pork sausages ,tasted like the old prepacked Walls pork sausages.Not meaty at all ,don’t know what the percentage of meat was in them ,or maybe just the meat was too finely ground .Will see how your other sausages are .”

“Ribs were far to fatty and the beef joint is not at all like the picture it is a flat piece of meat like a large steak which will never feed a family of 4, waste of money.”

“My last two orders of marrow bones contained bones without marrow. I particularly order the bones for the marrow and don't appreciate receiving just normal beef bones! The first time I thought it was a mistake, but my last order (2 packs) contained only 1 bone with a small amount of marrow”

“The fish tastes excellent. Unfortunately by the time lorry delivered all started to defrost. No ice at base of latest fish delivery. Had taken it up with George from Coombes Farms and its because we live in Scotland and DPD cant get to us quicker. However George is giving us a discount on our next purchase because of this and that makes for good customer service. This is the only product we have had an issue with.”

“When i first ordered your organic chicken i was very pleased with it. In fact i was raving about it to my Daughters saying that It was so much better than the supermarkets as it practically fell off the bone and had a lovely flavour. Then a couple of weeks ago i cooked two chicken as my Daughters and their Husbands were coming for dinner and one chicken was lovely and the other one not so good - not much meat and a bit tough. Then the last Chicken i ordered i cooked this Sunday and it was really tough and tasteless and again didn't seem to have much meat on it. I was really disapointed. Not sure i want to chance buying another one as they are not cheap. Feel confused as to why they are not as good as when i first brought then as i cooked them all the same way.”

“Short changed! Organic Barnsley lamb chops weight was only 327g- not the not net weight of 440g as stated on packaging- or more importantly, 480g weight stated online when ordering.”

“Very disappointed, sorry ! My son talked me into buying grass fed organic beef and having grown up in Ireland eating tasty teabone steaks I was so looking forward to it ! Although the price was right the taste was almost non existent ! I usually shop in Waitrose or the Co-op, but last week I tried Aldi and I have to say their ribeye steak was so tasty !!! Savoy grill came to mind, well almost! But I would definitely purchase their steak again. Don't like being negative, only truthful, so apologies as I love organic produce.”

“As usual, this is the third bag that I use and the third time it comes short in weight. The quality of the meat is superb as usual, though, I have sent an email with photos of these bags on the scale, explaining that being their most expensive product on the website I would expect to have it at the weight that I pay it for. I haven't heard back from Coombe yet, but surprisingly I have received the invitation to make a review. I start to think that I will stop this subscription of chicken and I would start buying elsewhere...”
