I sent in an order by post on the 13/3/2020 with a cheque for two items... So, on the 26/3/2020 - as I had not heard from your company or received the goods... I phoned Coopers twice and was told by two different people that my order and cheque was not in their system ?? They also said there was nothing they could do to help me ? and the second woman rudely told me I should have ordered by email ? Please could you instruct your staff to be more helpful with your customers and not treat us so rudely! also, why have hard copy order forms, if Coopers cannot process them or in my case loose them !? I hope my bad experience has helped you understand how some of your customers are treated on the phone when they phone in with a query... With my kind regards Jane Henry

I bought a pair of shoes from coopers of Stortford and I thought they were poor quality and overpriced so I returned them for a refund. Royal mail delivered the shoes to coopers on the 12th. It is now the 30th and I have not received a refund. I have tried phoning them but they have an 0844 number ( costs 7p a minute ) and every time I try to phone them I am told that I am 8th in the queue.

I have not dealt with this company before and I will not deal with them again. On 12th March 2020 I ordered and paid for a broom. The product was listed as in stock and delivery charged at £4.99 . The order acknowledgement said the product would normally be delivered within 5 days and a further notification would be sent to allow tracking. Today 6days from placing the paid for order,no notification of dispatch being recieved I telephoned customer service. After waiting some considerable time in a queue I was told that my order has not yet been dispatched . Obviously this outfit doesn't need to provide service

I PURCHASED A OIL FILLED RADIATOR FROM COOPERS OF STORTFORD TO BE USED IN MY CONSERVATORY BEING AS I HAVE NOT A GAS SUPPLY, IT WAS SLIM AND DID NOT LOOKOUT, OF PLACE, IT IS FAIRLY CHEAP TO RUN AND CAN BE MOVED TO WHATEVER ROOM YOU WOULD WANT . THIS PRODUCT FROM COOPERS OF STORTFORD IS ANOTHER GREAT IDEA SO ONCE AGAIN WELL DONE COOPERS OF STORTFORD,I CERTAINLY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY PERSON.

Ordered three items with the 20% discount, order came to £57.75, taken from my bank £68.35, only one item was discounted, when I phoned Coopers, not very helpful their customer services. I emailed the 17th February and no answer from them. I have been a good customer but will not be buying anything else from them

I've been reading all the bad reviews and can't believe it's the same Cooper's. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I have nothing but good to say about them. When I've called them I've always found them polite and helpful. When I ordered an item that was out of stock, I received a letter to let me know, and the item was shipped as soon as it came in. They enclosed a voucher for my inconvenience, my only complaint was that I had to spend a certain amount to use it. I've been shopping with them for a few years now (a neighbor recommended them) and the items have always been delivered in a timely fashion and in good condition. I would highly recommend Coopers of Stortford.

Bought some buy-one,get-one-free Halogen room heaters. Within 3 weeks all 6 halogen elements had blown. Knowing that these elements do not last forever (but a damn sight longer than 3 weeks), I'd also bought some spares. And they turned out to be for a different heater. You're better off going to Dunelm and getting a fan heater for £10-£15. I wrote a review in a similar vein to this for Coopers, and, funnily enough, it's not been published.

I bought some settee and chair cover from Coopers the settee cover does not fit and would not fit the smallest size given. They said they would pick them up, when they did not arrive on the day stated, I phoned them, I was told to taken to the post office and was given a lot of abuse. The returns label is not prepaid which will mean me footing the bill and not getting a refund.d

No refund received after 3 months, despite promises My parents had been loyal customers of Coopers for many years. They liked to buy from the catalogue, especially as they were less able to get into town, and not confident ordering from Amazon. They ordered a walker from Coopers, but by the time they received it my father was too ill to use it. Coopers agreed to collect it and provide a refund. My father died shortly after. 3 months later, several expense phone calls, and many emails later, they are now refusing to refund my widowed mother the £79.99 that without my Dad’s pension, she cannot afford to be without. Do not buy anything from this company unless you are sure you need it, and will live to enjoy it.

I had a problem with an item which was still under guarantee , and customer services immediately sent me a copy of the proof of purchase . I have always been pleased with the service and quality of goods . I will certainly continue to shop with Coopers .

Bought a stainless steel teapot 6 yrs ago, a long time yes but it never left its packaging and just stood in the cupboard, never used, threw our old one out today and made our first cup of tea, to refill i went to lift the lid off and it could not have been hotter, it could not be touched, rang them and they had a record of the purchase but it was too long in time to get the money back, told them i did,nt want any money just wanted to explain my problem, they said of all the teapots sold never heard of this problem which amazes me as they must all be made the same, they just were not interested, afraid i will never purchase any item in the future, they were not even curious,

My complaint is receiving a £10 money off voucher and finding most items £29,99 which means there is no benefit as. I struggle to find anything else I need But in any case I would not order from Coopers on principle as I feel it is a 'con, Brenda Williams

Sales team should really inform customer if an item is out of stock, not just take an order and payment knowing full well that the order would not be despatched until all items are available leaving customer having to chase order after ten days to find this out. When cancelling the items that’s causing the hold up being told that the money for these would not be returned to my account until five days later. Not impressed.

Customer service in this company is abysmal. Ages to get through to be told "wrong department", someone will call back. A week later and after chasing I was told they were very busy and working hard. No advice or assistance offered to address problem of piece of equipment that was not working. This is not a company to buy from if there are alternative sources - which there are.
