“The online experience was absolutely fine and as expected. However, in store was a different story. I visited the Newcastle branch with my Mum looking for Valentino shoes for my wedding day. There were two girls working on the shop floor who ignored us, even when I had two pairs of shoes in my hands I wanted to try on. I approached them and asked to try both pairs in a size 6 and 7 as I'm between sizes and have never tried on Valentino's. I was met with rude questions about exactly what size shoe I am, and they were extremely reluctant to go and fetch me more than one pair. They snatched the shoe I was holding and told me it was in fact a size six and passed it back to me (I'm unfamiliar with EU sizing which it was labelled with, I apologised...). They then came back to me to say they didn't have a size 7 in stock in either shoe. I asked to try on any Valentino shoe they had in a size 7 to check it would fit me, as the size 6 was a little tight. They didn't want to give me a shoe to try if it wasn't the actual pair I wanted to purchase... I have never been told that in any store before, and considering the shoes in question were £620 I would have thought the sales assistants would be happy to help me. I decided to go online and never visit the store again. The prices of the clothing and shoes are far too expensive to warrant bad customer service. If I were to visit Selfridges, the staff would have been falling over me to make sure I left the store happy. If Cruise Newcastle aren't hitting their targets, look no further than the unhelpful staff hired and/or the clear lack of customer service training provided. The girls' appearance was scruffy & unprofessional and they had no manners or common sense. They behaved as if I was interrupting their conversation and spoiling their day. My advice to other customers - go online or take your money to another supplier.”

“Worst customer service I have ever received. If I could have rated zero, then I would have, I will never shop with Cruise again. Apparently receiving a t’shirt with defaced tags (like the photo below) is “acceptable” as the item (which was a gift for someone) wasn’t actually damaged! Customer services refused to raise a complaint (4 times I asked) and have since ignored all my emails.”

“Bag I ordered was dirty, it also had a pen score and the plastic security tag was still attached so not sure how I would have removed it, have not had a sufficient response from customer service.”

“I ordered a jacket in Large, a medium arrived. I called customer services who informed me they couldn’t send out the correct size until they had received the first one back. Or I could spend my money again and buy the large jacket again then return the medium? No thanks! Paid £6.95 for a delivery that I collected from Halfords, which was a complete waste of a journey for me. Then had to make the same journey to drop off the jacket so now I’m waiting for a refund. At the very least I should be offered free delivery and a goodwill gesture discount”
