Hate going into Currys as items are pricey, frequently missold and often unreliable, however, I had to physically look at this particular item to make sure it would be easy enough for a disabled elderly lady to use. Of course, as always, there was no-one around, spent ages looking for someone who went and got someone else, eventually. This has been the case in at least four different Currys stores I have been in, so it seems to be a company policy to make sure staff stay away from customer reach. Ordered an item after explaining it was urgently needed for an elderly disabled relative. Paid for installation and removal of old. Couldn't get a delivery date as 'system was down'. Spent the next day calling the number I was given to organise this. No answer. Called the central customer services line and he was unable to fix it. Told me he called the store and they hung up on him. Got a nippy phone call the following day from the store to tell me there was no big rush for a delivery date as the item was out of stock anyway and wouldn't be back in stock until some time in November. Finally found an alternative machine, and on Sunday night was given the delivery time of between 6.40am and 10.40am. When the delivery staff arrived at 8.30am they told me that was ridiculous as the earliest staff started was 7am. Delivery and installation were ok, although the old item was dumped outside and we were told it would be collected next day. Floor was left swimming in water from disconnection, so I am glad I was there to help as my mum could have slipped and fallen. My cooker has just broken and I wouldn't even consider Currys. Thankfully I was able to get one ordered from John Lewis for much cheaper than Currys. Excellent customer service too. Unfortunately Team Knowhow know how not to.....

NEVER buy a TV from here!!! They are shoddy goods!!! Ours just wouldn’t turn on after only 9 months and guess what - they wouldn’t even fix it! These are like the dodgy market traders you avoid only in a big posh shop. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and badly made goods!!!!! Go to a reputable dealer and keep your money safe.

When you get to heaven you can tell the angels that you never saw evil so deeply personified as you did in the face of Curry's PC World customer service team.

Purchased a Kenwood fridge freezer from Currys 6 months ago and took out the extended repair warranty also. About 3-4 weeks ago the motor started getting noisy, phoned Currys and 28th.Sept they came back to me with a job number (C4734243) and I was told an engineer would contact me, he did and asked me some questions and Diagnosed the problem as the fan motor - he ordered the part and said 'if you don't hear anything in the next 2-3 days - ring, I did and was told the item was on back order with Kenwood and wouldn't be here until at least the 19th.October! I said what am I supposed to do for 3 weeks! I Confirmed I had taken out the' Repair & support plan' and was told that there was a '7 day repair promise' on that plan! This was then given over to the 'Care Plan' team to deal with, heard nothing for about 4 days so rang - only to be told 'because the engineer didn't physically inspect the fridge they would not replace it'!!!! I then had to ring the 'Know how' team (AGAIN) and ask for a PHYSICAL inspection - came out within a day or so and CONFIRMED exactly what he had first diagnosed over the phone! I have made numerous phone calls to different departments and STILL have no working fridge/freezer after nearly 3 weeks!! Raised a Customer Complaint with them (CC3813225) - for what good that will do!!?? Their '7 day repair promise' is not worth the paper it is written on, I cannot believe the unacceptable service I have been given!!!!

The issue that I have experienced was: bought 3 items, electric inst oven, inst washing machine and inset washing machine. Let's start with inset electric oven bought to replace existing electric inset oven. Warning signs say this must be installed by a qualified electrician. However, Curry's offering 1/2 price installation @£45, I paid for installation feeling confident a qualified electrician would be installing the oven...not so, the oven arrives with 2 guys who took my existing electric oven out to fit the new one to be told I need a qualified electrician. I said I have paid for installation by a qualified electrician so your taking out old electric oven, it has its own fuse box and wirering. No the wirering is different, but you are a qualified electrician and installation means you have what you need to install the electric oven. Got nowhere with that and they left. I rang knowhow (knownothowto) explained and was told I needed to have the work done prior to fitting. No amount of explaining could they understand that they were replacing electric oven with electric oven...I said again to be told they are not qualified electricians but engineers? Got an qualified electrician to fit the oven, took old oven out fitted the new oven using the same wirering. This has cost my £95. Let's move on to the washing machine, well, yes delivered I paid for installation. They take the old inset washing machine out and the dishwasher to get to the pipes. We can't fit the new washing machine as I need a builder to put the waste pipe in, what I said, your taking out fit new one I don't understand, they went outside showed me where the waste pipe could be visited by making a hole in the wall leading the new pipe to the drain. Even I know they are talking rubbish. Rang knowhow who booked me in for installation again. They came on the day they said with extended hosepipes fitted washing machine then they said can't fit the kitchen unit door as they need biscuits to fit so they can drill different holes I rang knowhow said you need to order these parts (why should I order the parts. It should be them ordering them). Again back onto knowhow who order the parts. THey some weeks later Iafter i got a text saying got thee parts coming to fit. They did fit the kitchen unit door on but quests what the door doesn't fitted properly and as the took the dishwasher out to get to the pipes the dish washer was not refitted propley and makes a strong Clicking noise. Now fridge, inset fridge, easy take out refit new fridge, yes good, but don't have the parts to refit the unit door to the fridge. Told I have to order the parts, so what I have to order the parts, no you order the parts, which they have done as I got a text to say these have been ordered but no date for them to come and finish the job. This has been going on since 10/08/18 I did mention that if I ordered over £600 in one shop I would get £50 off, this didn't happen, same on a second order for television over £600 should receive £50 discount. No I didn't get the discount, and pay out for a qualified electrician all in all £145 lost not to mention what a joiner is going to cost to fix the dishwasher and reline the units to close properly. I now would like you to get involved. As my kitchen door unit's have not been refitted propley. My unit fridge door needs parts, which they say have been ordered over a month ago and still no response or repair. Discounts not given. Hence..£50 off each order over £600. Sending persons who are not qualified electrician to fit electric oven, fridge and washing machine, after strongly recommending, these items need to be installed by qualified electrician to find that the person who arrived to fit it to carry out installation is not a qualified electrician I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING FROM CURRYS! I bought on march 2018 an hp envy laptop for £999 and did the 3 year no matter what warranty for an extra charge of £300. After 3 days of use, the E-key fell off, 1 day later the speakers made a buzzing sound, the screen was missing the magnetic part that you manually close it up to a point and then it closes by itself. Curry's staff offered me a new laptop, 5 months later the speakers of the new laptop started buzzing and not stopping after something was played. OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS ARE SOLD AT CURRYS. After this major inconveniences, currys refused to give me a full refund even though I don't want to buy a laptop or anything else for that matter from them. They offered me to fix it "for free" (after the £300 warranty i paid) but hold it for 7 working days. I really need the laptop as I'm an engineering student. My advise after the huge mistake I did with buying a laptop from currys; better spend more money on buying a laptop straight from the company that created it. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE A ZERO STAR RATING. DISGRACEFUL.

Selected and Paid for a dryer in store on Sunday 07/10/18. Staff very helpful and sorted out a delivery day for Thursday 11/10/18. I booked a day off work to await the delivery, on the morning of the delivery got a SMS to say it will be delivered between 12.30 and 16.30 Thanks, Team Knowhow. No sign of them by 16.15 so decided to go on the website and use the tracking number they had also sent me. This informed me that the delivery had been cancelled and will now be arriving on Monday 15/10/18. No phone call, no text, just assumed that someone would be in on that date to accept the order. Tried ringing the number on the receipt, but all I got was an automated service, no option to speak to a human. Sent an email to their customer service to say Monday is not a convenient day to deliver and can they get back in touch with me before then. Got an automated email back saying I am truly important to them and someone will contact me in the next 7 days. Needless to say I drove back to the store cancelled the order got a full refund (Manager in store could not have been more apologetic, and said that deliveries were out of his hands). Came home and bought one on line, will never use Currys again.

My wife went into Currys at the Retail Park Newbury today to try and purchase a hoover (about £200 worth of business). She went in about 1600hrs, 3 sales assistants were just standing around chatting amongst themselves on the ground floor. So she went upstairs to where the hoovers were on display and there was only 1 sales chap there, who was busy with a customer. So she went back down the stairs and asked a lady sales assistant if there was any chance of speaking to a sales assistant, only to be told 'Not sure what you want, but when you find anything you like, come and give me a shout!' This is without doubt customer service of the highest quality...........I think not! The general attitude of staff in this Store has always been very, very poor and gives a bad impression of Currys as a company. You really feel like they are doing you a favour by even talking to you! My wife came back home and ordered a hoover on-line

went to Bedford branch to buy a cooker today, I have shopped there before and been happy, today however we were unlucky enough to be served by Gaurav (operator 31). my wife and I found him quite rude, arrogant and patronising, I couldn't believe that currys could put such an immature 'boy' on the sales floor he answered some questions with an eye roll as if had more important things to do than deal with us. not once did he crack a smile and clearly thought that he was too important to deal with somebody that runs two successful businesses and was standing in front of him with cash to buy a cooker I wanted to walk out of the shop but my wife needs a cooker and I didn't want to upset her although I found out that she would have been happy to do the same, now with hindsight I am considering cancelling my order and shopping elsewhere

Went in to purchase a new fridge freezer. Thinking we knew the model we wanted. When we arrived the sales staff were attentive but not in your face. When we picked (something completely different, always worth seeing and working out quality of build) we decided upon one. There were two models available and the staff went over and above to help us decide which suited us best. Was delivered on date agreed with no fuss. Only thing they don't do is takeaway packaging. Which would have been helpful. Other than that five stars

They fraudsters, conartists, liars. They have no customer services at all. No one in store or customer service, their know-how care plan team deal with my query all they keep doing is advising it's not their issue, you need to speak to this person or this team. They have caused so much stress. Mis sold me a TV and insurance and now fail to comply with their promises and guarantees. Ombudsman complaint coming up.

Their website is very good, simple to navigate and use. They often have good offers (and items reduced in their sales) and you can often combine them with additional money-off discount vouchers and Quidco cashback offers too - saving even more!
