We bought a microwave in July online and the driver who delivered it left it in the garage. We were then away from home until earlier this week. We unpacked the microwave this morning - it hasn't moved since then- to discover that it has a scratch on the door. We called Curry's but they were not the slightest bit sympathetic or interested in helping us. Yes, perhaps we should have checked the microwave when it arrived but we were going away and decided to wait. The fact remains that someone at Curry's packed a damaged item for sale and Curry's seems quite happy to deliver damaged goods. Moreover, the lady to whom we spoke didn't seem the slightest bit concerned that we would be looking for websites on which to write anti- Curry's reports. A shabby performance all round and a poor company.

The most incompetent company I have purchased goods from. I purchased a Beko washing machine a few weeks ago and after 4 uses it made a loud sound and a smell of burning came from it. The machine then started to click and the lights were flashing. Contacted curry’s and they said they could not do anything until a Beko engineer came out. Have spent 3 WEEKS trying to arrange an appropriate time for Beko to come out. On average 2 hours a night waiting to get through to the company. When through I have been cut of FOUR times and put back to the beginning of the queue. After several complaint emails still no solution. I have called Curry’s 4 times and they have promised each time to call back with a solution. Not once have they called back. Asked for a complaints line or email address and been told that they don’t have one by two customer service assistant. One evening I haven got to told to hold on a minute while the sales assistant gave her children into trouble in the background. I am 3 weeks in and still do not have a working machine. I have no solution to this problem. I have spent most week day nights calling either Beko or Curry’s. I don’t know what I can do next to get this machine fixed. I will certainly never use either Curry’s or Beko again.

Absolutely atrocious experience, and an abhorrent company. As soon as you have a problem (that they have caused), they wash their hands of you. Not sure why I am surprised, I suppose I didn't expect a company which I gave TWO GRAND ignore me and mistreat me like that! I'll never buy from them again.

Currys' delivers sob stories, not product. Ordered an American Fridge-Freezer which, I admit is a bit big and heavy. Other important information is that there is a staircase that it has to go up (as we live in the flat above a pub). The stairwell isn't huge, but...well, I'll get to that in a bit. I was so excited to be getting it 2 days after ordering it. Currys' delivery team pulls up and ... they they state that it is too big to fit through the door to the flat. I'm gutted. The fridge-freezer has, for its shortest measurement, a depth of 72 cm. My door frame? 70 cm. So, upon being told that it is not possible to deliver, my lovely lady and I start looking online for alternatives. Finding an option, I returned to the store to seek out my salesman from two days earlier. Explaining the situation, he enlightened me to some extremely intriguing information: Take the doors off (using a simple "open the door and lift method" and the depth becomes a mere 60 cm. WOW! I go to the customer service desk and get my fridge-freezer set for a new delivery! My Currys' rating? * * * * * (5 Stars) A few days later (due to work, we couldn't get delivered again for 4 days) here comes the delivery crew. Currys' delivery team pulls up and ... they state that they aren't allowed to deliver up more than 3 steps. What? Apparently, they don't send enough team members out to be able to maneuver a 95 kg fridge-freezer up a set of stairs to the flat above and fears of hernias and other whiny injuries. They refuse to deliver. My Currys' rating? * * (2 Stars) Upon calling up their customer "I don't care" team, I was informed that the drivers indicated that it was a spiral staircase. Having worked in furniture delivery (sleeper sofas, cabinets, hutches, etc.), I know that a spiral staircase would have been an impossibility. The thing is...it's not a spiral staircase! There is a flight of stairs, then a landing, then another flight of stairs. Yes, it's about 20 steps, but nothing that shouldn't be able to be done with a competent delivery crew (including the apparent management team that makes sure that there are enough team members going to handle the delivery). My offer? A door-step delivery. WOW! I can have it delivered to the bottom of my stairs and they will just leave it there and laugh their way back to the office and their paycheck for doing nothing. The customer service team reviewed photographs of the staircase that I sent them (with measurements giving a minimum of 26 cm free space at the most narrow point if the doors are off the fridge). And they supported the decision that it couldn't be done. Fortunately, this is a pub. We have a lot of different people that come through here, including a "removals team" who laughed at the incompetence of this team. Now, it cost me £15/head (x 4 blokes) to have this delivered up these stairs. The doors were removed, not as easily as I was led to believe, but after removing 15 screws from the top and 6 screws from the bottom plate. This removed a nice bit of weight from the product. 4 guys delivered this up the staircase (not once touching the side rails) and deposited the item gently on the landing at the top of the staircase. They removed the old fridge from inside the unit (which Currys' **IS** going to come pick up, you can count on that - NOT) then gently moved the American-style product in, quickly reattaching the bottom plates and the doors. Two of these "removals guys" were laughing and joking about they should leave their job to go get paid to do nothing but drive around and tell people that they can't deliver a product. I have a feeling that Currys' will be the butt of our jokes for some time to come. I expect Currys to pay for this delivery that they should have been able to action. Do I expect that they will? No. I expect Currys to pick up the old fridge freezer which I paid for? Do I expect that they will? No. I expect Currys to assess what they offer their customers in regard to delivery. Do I expect that they will? No. My Currys rating? * (1-Star, only because you are not allowed to give ZERO. Will I purchase from Currys again without proper restitution? No. Will I recommend Currys? No. Do yourself a favour. Shop elsewhere until Currys can learn what it means to offer a service to its customers.

Currys can start with their customers services. Phoned in to see where my parcel is and got told the laptop I order doesn’t get made anymore after a week. Phoned again to change my order and got told my order got cancelled even tho I didn’t ask to cancel it. After few days phoned back to see why I didn’t receive any emails or texts that my order got cancelled and got told that my order was never cancelled absolutely horrible experience I had with currys. After all that I got told I need to wait until they open an investigation. So basically it’s been 3 weeks, no refunds or calls or anything from them. Absolutely crazy when you think company this big and you have to deal with stupid problems like this.

The worst shopping experience ever. Ordered a television. Delivered wrong one. Returned it within hour. Assured correct one would be delivered. Heard no more. Contacted customer services. They said go back to shop and collect a television. Three hours spent in shop who refused to give me the television I'd paid for. Unpleasant shop manager said "There's no way you're taking a television out of here today" even though we were standing next to half a dozen of the very model I'd paid for. Said new television would be delivered sometime in the future. Not very hopeful. If there's a worse place to shop I hope I never enter it's doors. Even the staff hate the place. No compensation offered. No incentive to shop there again. Been sixteen days now of bashing my head against a brick wall. As a pensioner who just had covid and then been hospitalised after two small strokes I really don't need this stress. Some companies will go to great lengths to make their customers feel valued. Some companies only pay lip service to that ethos. To make things worse, when I returned the television to the shop I was offered no proof that I had returned it, and was assured that the problem was solved, new television on way. Now I'm told that they won't refund me because I have no proof of return. Currys have just told me they're keeping my money. I'm a pensioner, I've just had two strokes, I'm on my own and don't know where to turn.

I'm a retired veteran and purchasing a home has always been my dream. I usually do not qualify after a credit check so I needed credit repair help. A few weeks ago I ran into a specialist when I was surfing the net for a private contractor that can help. After a couple of weeks I noticed they have already cleared all inquiries including my taxes. What they propose is what I got. I am very happy with my current credit score. plus one, six one nine six three zero nine zero eight five or f i x m y c r e d i t AT w r i t e m e DOT c o m.

Purchased a very expensive monitor from Currys PC world, developed a fault after 3 months. They didn't want to know, didn't care at all, VERY rude customer service advisors passing me back and forth and speaking to me as though I was dirt on their shoe. I will pursue this but for now, i'll vote with my review. Avoid at all costs, there's a reason Amazon are putting them out of business. Shocking.

A letter I've just sent recorded delivery to Currys... Dear Currys I am writing to you today to express my total disbelief at your service. I bought a dishwasher from you 2 months ago, and I reported it faulty 2 hours after your guys installed it. Since then it has been an absolute horrific experience which I have detailed below. I must warn you now that this is my final attempt to give you an opportunity to remedy this situation before I involve a solicitor. I have totalled my time on the phone to you and Samsung, and this is now over 12 hours spent either talking or on hold! 6/3/21 I purchased a Samsung dishwasher online from Currys. 8/3/21 The dishwasher was installed by Currys, They checked that it came on and filled with water, then were happy to leave it at that. An hour later I tried to put it on a full cycle, It did not work, it just filled with water and stayed like that no matter which cycle I selected. I called Currys, and no matter which option I selected it was either referring me back to website or direct to Samsung. So I got through to Samsung and reported that my brand new unit didn't work, they trouble shooted over phone and agreed that it needed an engineer, I explained that It was an hour old and i didn't want a repair, I wanted it replacing. They then managed to connect me internally to someone at Currys who said they would get back to me within 24 hours to arrange a swap. 11/3/21 No one had contacted me after 24 hours so I went onto Currys website and their live chat because you cannot talk to someone in person on their phone. They had no record of my issue and explained that I would need to call their helpline... I did this and got back through to Samsung. Samsung explained that they would need to send someone out to verify the fault before issuing a returns authorisation, they would get back to me with a date. 12/3/21 I sent an email to Samsung explaining my dissatisfaction at buying a new unit and not having any recourse at all, I received a generic response saying a case was open and they are dealing with it. 14/3/21 Contacted Currys/Samsung again explaining that they were breaching their obligations under the consumer rights act 2015, this fell on deaf ears, there is nothing they can do until an engineer had been sent out, but if I felt that my rights were being breached then I should go back to Currys (who's helpline just puts you back through to Samsung) They transferred me internally and the guy from Currys was shocked that this was happening, he explained that he would personally deal with it and get back to me within 20 minutes with arrangements to swap the Dishwasher. They did not call me back! 16/3/21 Called Currys/Samsung again explaining how unhappy I was with their service, they said I should go back to Currys to get a refund, when I explained that I couldn't without a returns authorisation from them, she said 'yes, I know' without a hint of understanding the Irony. 17/3/21 Samsung called and explained that an engineer would be in touch I explained I didn't want a repair though, I didn't buy a second hand unit, it was new, she said they would be able to swap it providing the engineer found a fault, and then went on to tell me that if they didn't, then there would be a charge of £170 ish fee. By this time I just felt beaten down and agreed to anything. 20/03/21 Engineer called me to say they would be repairing my unit, I said that I didn't want a repair, the dishwasher was faulty on day1. They said I would have to take this up with Samsung. I did this but got nowhere, by now I just wanted someone to help, and I wasn't bothered what happened, I just wanted a working Dishwasher. 23/03/21 Engineers called (Hubys of Hull) to cancel and explained they would get back to me, but it would be a few weeks before they could fit me in and would get back to me with a date. 25/03/21 I had taken a couple of days to calm down as this was obviously getting me down. I called Currys/Samsung again and explained how unhappy I was at buying a new Dishwasher that didn't work and it now being nearly 3 weeks, and still nothing is being done. I got the familiar generic response. 3/4/21 Huby's got back to me to explain that someone would be with me in 2 weeks..... I'd given up and was close to just throwing the Dishwasher out so just agreed. 15/4/21 Engineer attended, 30 seconds in he said, 'yeah, your motor doesn't work, they should have just swapped this' he explained that his report would go through to Samsung, and if I called them tomorrow they would have this info and would be able to arrange a replacement 16/4/21 Called Samsung, we can see that he attended, but don't have any information from the engineer. They said they would chase 19/4/21 Called Samsung again, same response as above. 22/4/21 We are now a week after the engineer came and still nothing, no response from Samsung, and Currys won't deal with me without a returns note from Samsung even though I bought it from them. This is now close to 2 Months from purchase and has been faulty since day 1. 25/4/21 Emailed Samsung to see if they had got a response from their engineer yet, received a response that someone would be in touch. No one got in touch! 28/4/21 Called Currys and actually got through to someone in the UK (I think) I explained the situation, they were sympathetic and couldn’t understand how this could happen, it should have been swapped out on day 1. She put me on hold while she spoke to Samsung, Samsung told her they had no report, and then proceeded to ask me what day the engineer attended (I’m gobsmacked at the incompetence at this stage). After 40 minutes on hold Currys transferred me to Samsung (without warning) Samsung spoke a few words which I didn’t comprehend, then the line went dead! I called Currys back up and got through to someone different, I asked if I could speak to the previous team member to save having to explain everything again, the operator said she would send an email requesting she call me back. 28/4/21 20 minutes after the Currys call above, I received an email from Samsung saying that they are organising an engineer to come out and look at my dishwasher. Are you actually kidding me???? Back to square one….. Consumer rights act 2015 regards to white goods, I should be offered a replacement or refund within 30 days if faulty, I reported this issue after 2 hours, we are now 2 months down the line and I’ve had enough. Ps, Currys did not return the call as mentioned above.

Currys has lost me as a customer forewer. Buying a new washing machine shouldn't be a stressful and an unpleasant experience, but it was. The delivery and installation/recycling service was absolutely shocking. The delivery guys were beyond belief unprofessional. They came completely unprepared without a face masks or shoe covers for their shoes, and they just walked through my carpet and said, that their shoes are clean, and refused to take their shoes off. The washing machine arrived unpacked without an original packaging, so I was not sure if it was even new. When I asked why it is unpacked the delivery guys just said, that they unpacked it in the van. By Currys Terms and Conditions, I can only return an item bought in original packaging if any issues, but how can I return it if it came without any packaging! Installation was also a disaster. They came without any tools to install the washing machine and asked me if I have a screwdriver to secure the washing machine pipe! I didn't have any screwdriver, as I was expecting them to have it, as I paid for the installation, so the guy just left without properly securing the pipe! They also flooded my kitchen floor when removing the old washing machine, and was overall very rude towards me when I raised my concerns. It was such a horrible experience, that I would never buy from Currys again. Also, when I contacted Currys customer services to complain about the shocking service, they just dropped the phone on two occassions. I would strongly suggest for everyone to stay clear from Currys!!

It is apparent Currys are indulging in a scam involving installation of appliances, especially cookers. They portray themselves as having fully qualified engineers to undertake such jobs but on the day of delivery the chaps who deliver are often not qualified and so starts the painful process of either contacting customer services to arrange another visit or asking for a refund. Avoid at all costs any installation purchases if you are brave enough to buy from this dishonest company. In fact take my advice and avoid this company altogether for the sake of your wallet and mental state. It really is not worth it.

On Sunday 20th September we purchased washing machine. We were told it should arrive in a week. We paid for the machine with the anticipation of it arriving within 7 days. On 02.10.20 I called customer service to find that you "have no idea has to when it will arrive." You’ve taken our money with no real expectation of a delivery – I think this is wrong and disgusting behaviour. My 80 year old grandmother is furious. She feels that she has been taken advantage of and is now wondering if she'll get her money back. Obviously we know we are entitled to get a refund. It's saddens me to know that because of this appalling behaviour by Currys PC Word my grandmother feels like she has been conned or ripped off! We won't be shopping at Currys again. .

Brought a Zanussi cooker hood, curry’s advertise it came with a Charcoal filter which we never received. I spent an hour and a half On their help line being passed about and could not get anyone to do a simple task of sending the missing filter. False advertising would not recommend buying from curry’s on line.
