“This is the biggest scam website that is allowed online, and it also ranks on the first pages of Google search results. They are a scam and are protected simply because they operate out of the Netherlands. Never use this scam website with your credit card; they will charge you without your permission. I hope it is shut down as soon as possible.”
“True scammer! i used Cvmaker for onetime at 9.8. 2022,they charged me $2.95. After that i never opened the website again, never subscribed any service. Start 9.15.2020, they stolen $19.95, and $2 international fee every month. Untill this month total $176 been stolen!”
“It is the worst customer experience of my entire life!!! Originally, I wanted to create a CV as they advertised this service, for 2 dollars. I am used to subscribing to various services and have never had any problems previously. I created a nice CV this time (could have done it for free somewhere, but I had to do it asap) and was charged 2 dollars. However, it turned out to be that there was fine print that I hadn't read, because, as I've mentioned before, I was so nonchalant about it because of my previous positive experience. So, as it turned out, one morning they charged me 25 dollars out of the blue. I was shocked. I didn't remember SUBSCRIBING to anything! It was especially sensitive to me because I'm from Ukraine and every single cent is important to me. I wrote to their support in a kind way, as I used to do before with other services, to kindly give me a full refund. They replied that according to their policy it was impossible. So, the fact was that I hadn't really agreed to any subsription. It was only written in fine print, which is abslolutely misleading! As a customer, I am entitled to get a full refund of a service within 14 days without a reason. I began sending them multiple complaints mentioning this problem. I was still very emotional. They sent me two emails and then started ignoring me. Then I started writing to their live chat many time. Once, they only referred to their Terms & Policies and quit the chat, then ignored most of my messages and when I only pretended to be another customer, they answered that I was being impolite to them as I wrote that if they didn't fulfill my request, I would go to the police and file a chargeback request at my bank. I am broken now. It's such a mean trick to steal from unemployed people who are literally at war now!!! I must warn you that these scammers operate all around the world: there are websites in Ukrainian, Russian, English, Spanish, etc. Their physical address is in Amsterdam [Piet Heinkade 221 1019HM Amsterdam The Netherlands] so I have filed a scam complaint to the Dutch police.
They believe nobody would care for $25 dollars and go to the police because of that matter, but they messed up with a wrong person.”
“Nikola Dimitrijevic
I have been lured to pay the monthly subscription which i havent agreed on, or even been warned about.
If you ask for a refund, you will be declined. They even threat with debt collectors if you dont have money on your credit card.”
“I, just like many others on this platform, also had a terrible experience with using cvmaker.
Cvmaker is a simple subscription trap scam, where they try their best to hide subscription based nature of the service. The way cvmaker tries to hide this, could almost make it illegal in certain countries.
On top of this, also at fault is trustpilot, because it was the sole reason I fell for this scam in the first place. I have logically come to the conclusion that almost all positive reviews on trustpilot on cvmaker are fraudulent/fake, which is especially apparent when comparing it with other company reviews on trustpilot. This is especially apparent when looking at the amount of reviews in different country branches of cvmaker.
I did then try asking for a refund, and was promptly ignored, left on my own to try to solve it in a dispute with Paypal, as cvmaker did not care less about taking my money, in some countries, illegally.
There are TONS of other free alternatives to creating a cv, so I suggest checking them out before going anywhere near using cvmaker.”
“Seems other people have had the same experience with this very unethical site that takes your card details and a small payment. Then on the DAY OF EXPIRATION they debit you a larger sum of money and say "sorry for the misunderstanding" and they cannot refund you because "that's not how the site works". Apparently you have to deactivate the account the day before it expires - what exactly is the point of the expiration date then??? Disgusted! Fraudulent! Dishonest! Theft!”
“I have also been victimized by these scammers. They took 30 euros from my card twice. The support team said that there would be no refund. And shortly after the call, I received a fraudulent SMS purporting to be from the bank. And I don't think it's a coincidence. I think I'll go to the police.”
“Fraudsters, unethical scammers. They set up this site to trick people into giving their credit card and then they sign you up to their services and charge you monthly. they even take the email you write in the CV and open an account with it without your consent. They refuse to refund the "subscription", only way to get your money back is to do a chargeback with your bank with reference to all the people who got scammed in the same way. takes a few weeks but eventually you will get your money back as they are proven to be scamming thousands of people with this method.”
“Stay away from cvmaker. Big scam. They charged 2 dollars for cv creation, and then a week later charged 25 dollars from my card for "a subscription" that wasn't even mentioned while creating cv or paying 2 dollars for it's creation. Big scam!!! This site should be down ASAP, I don't know how it's still online, and still taking people's money.”
“Absolute scam £1.95 to create a CV then start charging £18.95 for a subscription that they in no way indicate before I paid the £1.95. Who in their right mind would pay that to make a CV? The worst kind of company out there scamming people looking to find work”
“They claim they will charge you 1.95 EUR for a CV and you will end up paying 1.95EUR + 17.95EUR.
They will charge you a subscription without you even notice and PayPal will decide on their favor if you request for a refund.
You will never recover your money back. Be aware. Never use this site.”
