Avoid at all costs. Debenhamplus is a tin pot company. Their customer service staff are rude & unhelpful. They sent me a faulty phone which l am stuck with. Can't get anywhere. Don't use this company.

I just bought a smartphone and I paid £5 for next day delivery(it did not happen).O the website is a big writing, If you order by 9pm you have next day delivery, I order by 8.20pm confirm by customer service .When I email to claim my money back I have answer' 'Unfortunately you placed your order at 20:39 on Monday evening. Unfortunately this is after our cut off point. Therefore we cannot process a refund for this. The item is being delivered to you today and dpd will provide a 1 hour time slot for you. Have a great day. Kind Regards'' In this case way you put next day delivery and you took my money?

Bought an indesit washer dryer on 7th Sept. 2016 as a gift for my daughter, after 7 day and 3 washes the machine stopped working! I phoned customer services, who gave me a number for Indesit/hotpoint . It took me one hour and 9 minutes to speak to a lady who asked me who Debenhams were (worrying). They arranged an engineer to call 6 days later , he came and tested the machine on a computer , he never tested the washing on a washing cycle! He reported that the machine was fine.... So many phone calls and listening to mindless music later, I have now had so much stress , as Debenhams will not replace or refund without the permission of Hotpoint/Indesit.... I thought I would have no trouble replacing or a refund , as the machine was 7 days old when it broke. However this has not been the case and I now I am stuck with a broken machine and nearly £400 worse off. I will be purchasing from John Lewis from now on (who have fantastic customer service). I would also never buy anything made by hotpoint / indesit ever again , as their customer service is worse than disgusting.

Indesit Washer Dryer broke down within 7 days. I rang customer services, and was told to ring indesit / hoover myself! I rang and waited on phone for 1 hour 9mins, when I was asked who Debenhams were (very worrying ).An engineer arrived 6 days later and reported no fault. Machine still not working and both Indesit /hotpoint and Debenhams will not resolve the problem

Absolute disgusting service from Debenhams Plus. I ordered an item over the phone and gave my credit card details there and then. I was told that the order had gone through. Three days later I receive an invoice stating that payment still has not been taken. I rang them and, surprise, ten minutes later it shows as processed - which only leads me to assume that calls are recorded because HOW did they retrieve my details again to attempt to approve payment. I then questioned as to why it took 3 days to go through and I had some bulshy arrogant woman named 'Sarah' proceed to tell me that my bank had withheld the funds. What an absolute load of shitetalk! No apology at all. My bank will contact me if there had been any issue. Then it took over a week to send my item to me which I paid over £200 for! Absolute appalling, shoddy customer service. If I could leave minus stars I would!

I purchased a monitor from the website and waited a week for the delivery, at which point I received a call stating that the item was out of stock and that it will be delivered the following week. 3 days after the new due date I called customer service only to be told that the price of the item had increased by over a hundred pounds and could not be covered by them. Even though I had already paid for the item and had at this point waited almost two weeks, I was told that my only options were to pay the difference or get a refund. Valuable time wasted for me.

DEBENHAMS PLUS IS NOT DEBENHAMS !!!!!! Bought an air-con unit from what I thought was Debenhams plus (because of Debenhams reputation ) only to discover the real firm behind it is Buy it direct .com . After only 3 uses the unit failed so called up, spoke with a rather rude female JESS HAIGH, who before I had explained any problems said the angle of the pipe from the machine was crucial and needed to be less than 30 Degrees she also said I needed to take photos of the unit and set -up . After sending photos she told me my installation was incorrect and even though I have only had it 35 days she strongly implied it was my fault and even claimed that one of the photos I took showed the pipe was on the floor and then went up too steeply . Luckily I took over 30 photos from many different angles some of which showed exactly how the pipe was which was nothing like she described from my photos ( lying ) . I then went on to look at the manufactures manual and it actually shows the correct installation as being 90 degrees or straight up as in a chimney. Fortunately other members of staff have since reassured me that she was WRONG to accuse me and got all details WRONG about how the installation was supposed to be . But it feels WRONG to be made to feel like you are about to be ripped off for £350 for a machine that was obviously faulty and practically new . If you get JESS HAIGH on the phone I suggest you ask for anyone else , she was rude , didn't listen and gave me huge doubts I would be treated fairly and legally. Forget TRUSTPILOT reviews too easy to fake this place has the real feedback . I am still waiting to see if I get my money back . Lets see ...

bought a sofa, contacted to say its ready and organised delivery. on day of delivery no sign of it then get text saying issue so wont be delivered. contacted delivery people and they replied to say that debenhams had not made the sofa available to them to deliver it. called debenhams and was put on hold for a while then came back and said someone would get back to you, haven't so far so sent email to head office, got email back to say someone would get in contact, still waiting, advise people to never buy anything from debenhams that you can not take away from the store there and then. makes you wounder if they are struggling and going into receivership with the way I am being treated.

Having ordered an item online to collect in store - I was shocked on opening the parcel in store to discover I had been given a different individuals order. The incompetence and lack of a credible process to ensure that customers were provided with the correct items purchased was only surpassed by the four arrogant and unskilled 'managers' who were sent to speak with me in series. The overall attitude and approach of this company best demonstrated by the response from a customer care [sic] manager to my email to the CEO Michael Sharp telling me not to visit or order any products from the store again. Not a problem of course since I had no intention ever of offering these amateurs my patronage again. Still, I have a good story to tell of how not to 'do' retail business - Debenhams you failed at every point on this one and the public should be aware.

Here's my latest email to them, seems to sum them up..... So, lets see if anyone here cares about customer service... I can tell you for a fact that nobody in your furniture department does. Below you will see a chain of emails with your team. It's got worse since then too. I called on Sunday, spoke to a guy, promised to call me back, he hasn't... Again!! So why am I so annoyed: - You were late to deliver the sofa by nearly 2 weeks --- Throughout the delays I was constantly the one chasing you and your supplier. - I complained about this and was told Adam would get in touch personally, he didn't - The sofa then had the wrong colour legs and the fabric was an off colour - I logged this on the 11th and said I wanted to return it - I called end of last week to see what was going on --- I was told the return was authorised on the 14th, nobody bothered to tell me. When I questioned this I was told that your supplier should tell me, NO, I'm your customer, not theirs, stop passing the buck. - I called on Sunday to see what was going on, spoke to a guy who told me he'd call me today with an update as to when it would be collected --- He didn't, why lie to me? - I called again to see what was happening, I'm told that the supplier will be in touch next week to arrange a collection. --- Why aren't you taking responsibility for this? I don't care about the supplier, it's your job to service me. --- They will contact me next week to discuss a pick up day - This will make it approx 3 weeks since I requested a return, this is not a reasonable amount of time. Worse still, if I hadn't chased constantly it wouldn't be done. --- Making it over a month since it should have arrived in the 1st place?!? I've then got to wait weeks for my next sofa (7wks from order), it'll be 3 months in total until I have a suitable sofa. Oh and because of your constant delays, the sale has gone off now!?!? Yet again I'm paying for your incompetence, your delays and your inability to fulfil your half of a contract. My biggest gripe about all of this is that Debenhams just don't care and aren't taking responsibility for these errors, you keep on referring to your supplier but that means nothing to me, I paid you, not them. You aren't trying to sort this problem. OH - And I just emailed this complaint to them (to an email address their Twitter handler pushed me to) and I got told to go speak to another department. USELESS DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM DEBENHAMS

Extremely poor service. I got influenced by " debenham" name and ordered 27" pc monitor, paid full amount and got e-mail that my order has been dispatched. Very same day got cancellation saying that the supplier cannot supply it and we are cancelling the order. When I contacted the customer service, I was told that they cannot supply it as the price has gone up By 40 pounds!!! These are such cheap tactics. The price was increased 48 hours after my order was already processed!!!!! No apologies were given. You are better off buying stuff from a street corner guy then these people. In fact I become aware that debenham plus is not managed by debenham , it's been given over to third party. So much for big brand name. Put me off debenhams for life. Void it like plague.

Hi I visited Debenhams on the 07/04/2016 to try out a foundation and buy one. I first went to the ysl counter where I asked a lady to try me a liquid foundation. She tried one shade. I thought the shade was a bit lighter so I asked her if she could only try one shade darker. She said my skin had varied colours and so this is the only right one. She did gave me a sample but there was no effort of customer service made from her end. Then I proceeded to the clinique counter where Diane was brilliant . She tried 6 shades on me. Did the serum, moisturizer and the foundation. I bought the moisturizer from her only because I liked her customer service effort.

Overpriced items, and the cafe area was a disgrace unattended tables that needed cleaning and wiping down poor customer service With no waitresses to be seen. They didn't know who had ordered what so they where just shouting Orders out and wandering around. I thought it was a disgrace that customers including myself where cleaning tables Off to use them I also had to ask for a clean cup as I was given a dirty one when ordering a pot of tea.

Arrived a day late and was broken. Very poor customer service. There are far better retailers out there. By the way Debenhams Plus is not Debenhams...they contract out this to a third party supplier.
