“In my opinion Decathlon are one of the better sports retailers in Britain. They have an extensive range of sports which are catered for, and usually have some unbeatable offers. I would be critical about the store stock, but knowing that you can order online to be collect in store is now my preferred method of shopping, and I usually spend 10-15 minutes browsing around for something I haven't seen online.”

“Poor overall experience- delivery was delayed, staff didn't seem to know what was going on with it, when it finally arrived I had to wait in store whilst a member of staff finished his personal/social conversation with another staff member before deciding to help. Product quality and price are the only redeeming features of Decathlon.”

“I was looking for a portable table tennis net set and badminton set for the garden and came across decathlons selection. The website was really easy to use and delivery was really quick! The quality is great and we've made good use of both products. Would highly recommend decathlon and would def use them again!”

“Good service , I had a faulty tent so they have replaced it. I asked for the new tent to be delivered to my home but they sent it to a store , so I now have to collect it. No biggy but not what I asked.”

“When I received the bike, the rear light was not connected with the wire completely hanging out of the light. Though I connected it there seems to be a fault as the rear light doesn't come on. The front light is pretty unreliable as it turns on sometimes and sometimes doesn't. This hasn't been to much of a hassle as I haven't been cycling in the dark, but it will be a real annoyance once summer ends. The bike itself seems well constructed and sturdy and is surprisingly supremely comfortable even over potholes and curbs. It is also stable and handles well. I haven't cycled far on it yet so can't judge its comfort over a distance. Unfortunately the gears are another problem on this bike. Though the range is impressive, the shift is not reliable and several times I've been on a busy road, tried to shift, and found myself in first gear, legs spinning wildly, struggling to maintain control. It seems that when I shift, the gear first goes down to first, then up to my selected gear and this normally takes half a minute of crazy spinning. On occasion, the gear refuses to move from first and I'm stuck on the afore-mentioned scenario. I've checked and the gears are in alignment so it seems to be a build issue as the bike is nearly new. I've waited it out, hoping it would somehow correct itself or that it just needed breaking in but nope, still the same. I've now decided to contact Decathlon and hopefully they'll sort it. Shame as otherwise it's a beautiful, practical machine.”

“Wasn't able to log in and ended up having to phone which was a bind. However was helped by a very friendly young man. Not enough detail from the goods I bought and the size was too big! It would be good to have more info on the product i.e. the elastic waste had no cord to adjust it, so I had to make it myself!”

“Visited the Nottingham store and had great customer service from the staff there, on return home living several hours from closest store, decided to purchase 2 bikes. Had to go to London the following week and visited the store at Thurrock and the Cycle Chap there was awful just not interested. So ordered online when home. Arrived within a few days as over weekend, which was a slight disappointment. Have give 5* on service from Nottingham store and online order. Both the cycles are great and can't fault them and only took a hour or so to be up and cycling.”
