“I was in the market for a hydration backpack and came across Decathlon online.The pack I chose is of excellent quality and a price that is second to none.I would recommend shopping with Dectathlon to anybody of an outdoor sportsperson/activities as they wont be dissapointed.Big thumbs up.”

“Very bad shopping experience. Website not user-friendly at all, makes you lose a lot of time each time you add something to your basket. Once the order was placed I did not hear back from them and thought everything was ok. 2 days after expected delivery date I had to call 37 times to be able to speak to someone who announced me that my order was not being processed because an item was missing! I had to cancel the item because it would take 4 days to come from.... France! Just across the Channel! And I could not replace the item or it would again delay the delivery. After almost 10 days and a run home to sign the DHL parcel, I finally received my order... Very very poor service. Would definitely avoid shopping with them in the future.”

“I bought a waterproof coat for my son. I am very happy with it. The size was perfect and the price on sale was unbeatable for a good quality. Bought in January so far still in a good state and yellow color means I never lose him in the playground as I pick up my two other sons!!! Parcel arrived in due course. Quick easy and good quality perchase. Will use again.”

“Decathlon make some great hiking gear.Their Merino Wool base layers are exceptional value.They lag behind in Softshells and Mid layers where the range is limited and the cut and sizing is for very tall and slim men. They need to produce more gear sized for the regular fit man!”

“As online shops go I have only two observations : 1) get more stock ie duck decoys and 2) respond to the email requests acknowledging when goods come in stock that you will make contact. The goods i have ordered have been off abetter quality than anything else similar, better value for money and very described. Get the above points correct and you will get more of my business.”

“I regularly recommend Decathlon for people who are interested in cycling or camping equipment because I believe their product to be of good quality and uninflated prices. Their Triban series are possibly the best entry-level road bikes on the market (at the £300-ish price mark), and for the money their helmets are impeccable for under £30, with construction and comfort rivalling £60+ helmets of leading brands.”

“Bought bike on recommendation of cycling weekly. Great bike but! Had to chase my order to get it delivered as it was 'stuck, in the warehouse'. When it arrived courier was fab - box un damaged but left hand bracke / shifter cable bent back requiring fixing, front dérailleur so badly set the chain rattled on it in all gears, most wire cables slack and or with cinks in. Very disappointing set up. Working through rest of issues before sending into Decathlon Great bike, slow delivery, dreadful bike build / set up”

“Purchase and delivery was good. Needs a rider size chart for frames. Also bike cable on the btwin caught on the gear mechanism. Had to sort this out ourselves.”

“My partner and I were frequent visitors at the Croydon branch in the run-up to a February skiing holiday. Not only were we impressed with the range of merchandise on offer but we both couldn't fail to notice the extremely helpful and friendly staff - how refreshing! We also used the click & collect service and found this to be very efficient. We were also impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the general store and toilets! We are definitely Decathlon fans.”

“I generally found the equipment I was after, however I do have a comment about the Southampton store staff. They need to learn not to judge a book by its cover! I went in with some very specific ideas in mind about what I was after. I'm a personal trainer and was buying equipment for my business. When I asked one of your male members of staff about the price of medicine balls (there was no price anywhere visible for quite a few products) he gave me a strange look and asked what I wanted to do with it. I said I'd be doing a range of exercises with it and when he probed further I told him I was a personal trainer. He assumed I meant I was working WITH a personal trainer, so I corrected him and said I AM the personal trainer and I will be using this with my clients. Now I realise I don't look like your typical personal trainer but for him to judge me on that basis was plain rude. He didn't even try to hide his shock and I was quite offended. The only redeeming feature of the whole visit, quite frankly, was the lovely girl at the counter as I was leaving.”
