“Poor communication. I understand items might unexpectedly go out of stick after ordering them, but there was no communication or updates, just an entire order that failed to turn up. They were difficult to contact and the person I spoke to seemed in need of customer service training and was either unable or unwilling to share information such as what postal service they would use to send the rest of my order (e.g. Would I need to be home to sign for it, when would it arrive). A shame, as the items I did recieve were good value for money.”

“Absolutely rubbish. Ordered 2 pairs of ice skates. One pair were fine the other pair size 4 were 2 left feet. Phoned up to complain was told I would have to pay to return the item which considering the fault wasn't my doing I don't think this is right. Was also told I couldn't take them back to my nearest store in Sheffield as they don't stock that item and that the item has also sold out. I am not stuck with the wrong skates as I refuse to pay for postage back. Will never order from again.”

Dear Ms Newman, We apologise for sending you the incorrect ice skates, we have view your account and can see that the adviser you spoke to regarding your return tried to get in touch again after the phone cut off to discuss your options in returning the item. We were awaiting your response, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to make a return. We apologise for any inconveniences caused.

“At times, some of the entries I viewed could have benefited from some additional description or detail. When looking for trousers, some of those displayed failed to describe the length, so it would seem you buy on a pot luck method, hoping they'll fit. Overall, the website is generally easy to use with drop downs clear and concise.”

“Quick response on emails. The solution was very customer friendly answer (repair was possible at a local bicycle shop) and the money (for the repair) was transferred quite fast. Additionally, the discussed things in the telephone conversation were confirmed by a short email. Latter was very useful by referring to it in later communications. Thanks for the good service.”

“I ordered jacket online and received an email telling me my order was being processed and shipped and when I went to store to pick up jacket was told it had gone missing!! I then made several phone calls to try and reorder jacket only to be informed it was now out of stock. I also had to wait 7 days before my money was reimbursed to me. Don't think I will be using Decathlon online shopping again.”
