Delivery times dismal...customer service wouldn’t bother contacting courier company when asked, too much hassle/work for them I suppose!

OMG nush is the most dedicated hard working guy I've seen work at Chingford decathlon he helped me set up my fishing rod even when we took him off his break and told him to go back well wait he said no I got you but I'm coming back tomorrow I've messed up my rod again expect me nush

Don’t buy in Internet!! Delivery day??? Good luck!!! 3 time at Asda Store 3 phone call to customer service and I’m still waiting for my purchase after 10 day’s so far!!! Don’t do it!!!!

First time iv'e used Decathlon online and what a mess. The order that arrived was nothing remotely like what is on their website. Called to sort this out, They sent a replacement which was exactly the same! Over two weeks and the issue is still not resolved. All returns have to be taken to an ASDA store so unless you have one in your town you will have to travel to one. The online customer services (Live chat) is incredibly slow and the staff very rude. Appalling experience all round

Online order went missing. After 3 weeks of ordering haven't had goods or a refund. Tracking information clearly states order not delivered and yet they want to complete a lengthy investigation. Still waiting to receive almost £200 back from them. Will never use again. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!

IMMENSELY HELPFUL STAFF. I want to express my extreme level of gratitude to the workshop worker in Decathlon Reading, who helped me today (19:50 Fri 04 Oct 2019) with my bicycle 10 minutes before the shop closed. I had to buy certain essential equipment for riding in the dark. Above all, I had a serious issue with my pedal, which was twisted in the thread of the crankset. In fact, by that time EvansCycles workshop staff had told me outright that this can't be repaired and I would need to replace the entire crankset. This might have been the case indeed, but the problem was that I had to get from Reading back to Oxford (50 km). And replacing the crankset was not an option at that point. But the man at Decathlon, after sugesting me to come back in 4 days, suddenly said he could actually do that right then. So he did, and the pedal, in fact, lasted the 50 km ride back to OX! (Time will tell, how long it will last after that, but it seems to be firmly fixed and my main problem has been efficiently solved.) It was shameful of me not to note the worker's name. (To be fair, I was quite shocked after riding 50 km from OX to RG, which was quite a taxing trip for an ordinary commuter like me right after 2 years of no riding at all and... well, no lunch [just a funny detail]. And all this only to learn, that I can't get back.) Long story short, I was deeply impressed by the friendly, outstandingly helpful and professional staff. Thank you, guys, you're absolutely awesome! I'm looking forward to shopping sports equipment (which is quite frequent in my case) with you. VARIETY. I also had a couple of minutes to glance at the shelves. Yes, Decathlon in general doesn't have some top-notch equipment (I couldn't find even the Shimano Tiagra crankset on their website, which is a shame: I would order it right away). But Decathlon Reading is big and really well-organised (unlike Decathlon Oxford, which is basically a random collection of goods from various websites; bicycle section being utterly useless, having an enormous variety of trainers [thousands?] with at most 6 basketball models...). My first impression is that in Decathlon Reading you will basically find any type of goods for whichever sport you like (I'm sure about the bicycle section, at least). It's a shame I didn't have more time to spend there.

Ordered a junior archery set first one no problem. Second one ordered,the box was damaged,the actual seals on the item's case were missing,I checked the items and luckily all were there. I treid to get a replacement,what a joke!No 'phone number,the usual computer response,chat room didn't get what i was saying but asking for photo's,how can you photo a damaged box a missing seals,would NOT use again

Shopping in store at decathlon is fine and the quality and price are good. The online shopping experience is almost laughable due to the way they are set-up. The order was made and a delivery date set. The order has now been procesding for 5 days and still hasn't left the warehouse. As I wanted to take the items away I've asked for a cancellation so I can just go buy the items from local shops (even though it's more expensive I need these things for monday). So I've sent emails made phone calls and gone through online chat. No one knows why the items haven't been sent. Because of their system they cant cancel the order despite it not having been sent yet or get me weekend delivery. The outcome is for me to not accept the delivery whenever it arrives (no one can tell me when it'll leave the warehouse and I wont be here for delivery anyway.). Then they will refund me at 3-5 days in the future, it's a large order so I dont really have the extra money to buy everything again locally whilst waiting for the refund. Essentially dont believe the delivery dates online even if it says the items are in stock. Even if you get it as click and collect it doesn't change the fact that they have no idea when itll be delivered or dispatched. And then trying to find that information is impossible as no one knows why or where it is. Really bad experience and terrible customer service.

Razvan the cycle mechanic at the Oxford store is all you could hope for. Provided excellent advice and undertook the conversion from drop to straight bars on my wife’s cycle. Kept us in touch with progress and ensured she was happy with everything before we left the store. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I recently purchased an Itiwit 3 kayak plus accessories (paddles, pump, etc) online. The kayak was delivered within the notified time scale with an email from the courier confirming delivery date. The kayak arrived minus the accessories, however, a quick chat with one of Decathlon customer service advisors via their online chat feature confirmed that a second package was on its way via another courier which would arrive the following day. All in all, I am extremely happy with the products and service provided.

I've ordered 3 pairs of riding trousers and a helmet as they didn't have it in store they offered to order it for me online. The estimated delivery was 10 days, as I was going on horse riding holidays in 14 days I was a bit worried it would not arrive in time however the staff in store reassured me that there wont be a problem plus I had additional 4 days to play with in case of a delay. On day 9 I received an email stating that there was a problem with my order and i need to contact them. So i did, it turned out that the helmet was not in stock( it took them 9 days to realise this !?). So I selected another helmet and asked when it will be delivered I was told that now it will be delivered day later than planned. On day 10 I received another email stating that there was another problem with my order, I contacted them again and now it turned out that the trousers were not in stock either so I selected another pair, the delivery date of the whole order got shifted by a day again to day 12. I explained that I am going on holiday and I need this by day 12 latest staff reassured me that it will be delivered no problem. On day 12 I received another email that there was another problem with my order it turned out that other pair of trousers was damaged and and to get another pair shipped it will take a week ! They offered alternative pair so I agreed highlighting that it has to be delivered no later than day 14 staff again reassured that it will not be a problem. On day 14 I checked the online status and my order has not arrived yet . I called the customer support and explaining that I am leaving for holiday tomorrow morning and I need the hat and helmet today. He was not particularly helpful or understanding he said I should go and buy another one in store when I said that they have money for my order and they could make some sort of discretionary arrangement where I could pick another hat from the store and they would deduct the cost from my order he said it was not possible. The customer service assistant showed no empathy or willingness to help. Basically Decathlon completely messed up my holiday plans I had to go on a horse riding holiday with no horse riding gear ! I asked for money to be refunded to my account as the order did not arrive and I no longer needed. He said the money will be refunded in 3 days . I got back from a holiday week later and the money was still not refunded. Called the customer support and they said that they didn't know my account details so they could not transfer me the refund. In 8 days since I asked for a refund. They made no attempt to contact me and ask for my account details, but instead choose to ignore it and keep the money. Then once I provided the details I was told that they only do the refunds on Mondays and the deadline for today has passed therefore my refund will only be processed next Monday. Again I highlighted all issues I had with the order and she basically said there is nothing they can do. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with any retailer and would not recommend them to anyone.

Opening from new archery set had no bow string, email phone and chat all saying bring back to store, explaining we bought it on holiday, and store was 200 miles away, all said same thing, bring back to store, this company is useless.

Complelety useless customer service. Ignore messages on facebook after they have been read. I even gave them a solution to my problem which they said they would look into. Never heard anything back even though all it would have taken is for them to ring my nearest store...one phone call. 2 days has now gone past with more messages ignored. Not sure who has overall charge of customer service in this company but they need to be sacked as clearly they can not run this area of the business. Avoid.

Appalling and disgusting service!!! On the morning of the delivery of my order, I got an email saying that my order was cancelled due to not being in stock. My order was placed 4 days prior to that email, meaning that nobody at Decathlon even looked at it until today! I contacted customer service, saying that it's not acceptable: the item was in stock in store, I could have bought it right there but I didn't as I was waiting for my order. Now I'm left without anything, with skating lessons already paid for and no skates to use to attend! I got a one liner pathetic reply saying that the order was cancelled so they can't do anything. The person who replied didn't even sign, knowing that with such poor level of customer service he/she would get fired if someone reports him/her. I hope management will read these complaints and take actions against such useless staff. Bunch of incompetent and unprofessional employees all the way, even those who are supposed to solve problems. I am done shopping at Decathlon, they proved zero respect or consideration for their customers.
