“What went wrong was I order a gym kit for my sons birthday not only was the delivery date 3 weeks from placing the order we never got the order on that date due to be delivered on the 27th July my husband took a day of work to collect the delivery we never received the delivery on that date I tracked the delivery it did say it was in Nottingham on the 27th but was going to take another week to come , by this time my son was very upset so a week later came and only part of the delivery turned up we then had to drive down to get our money back as we called mybe 10 times only to be told we will look into this and call you back terrible customer service will not be shopping at decathlon again”

“Received an email saying delivery was delayed to locker due to an IT issue. As we were on holiday and I didn't want to miss the collection, I contacted customer services and asked if it could be sent to my home address instead. I was told that it could. Received another email the following day saying my item had been delivered. Another 30 mike round trip.”

“D provide access to a range of sporting good not available elsewhere on the High Street. Problem 1: Increasingly you have to order on-line (paying in advance) and then go into the store to try things for size / assess quality / check colour seen on screen matches the actual article in your hand (and potentially obtain a refund if not suitable). Problem 2: Sports like Fencing while possibly available in other parts of the D empire on the continent aren't available in the UK. Bonus 1: Their refund policy is very good.”

In addition, we would like to advise that when the UK warehouse runs out of stock, we are able to ask for any item in our continental warehouse as long as they are in stock there so you can buy them in the UK. “Happy that they supply low cost but high quality kit, but would prefer it to be in store and not just online. I also tried to order to store only to find they don't do that (yet) in the West Midlands. Also, even though when I ordered it online to an 'InPost' location and they stated it would be there before 18:00 on the 9th August, its still not there!! Happy with kit, not happy with stocking levels in store and not happy with delivery so far!!”

“Had the products I wanted at the price I wanted to pay! Delivery was quick and correct. Only thing that let me down was I couldn't process the order on my laptop, had to do it on my smartphone? It wouldn't get any further than creating an account. The chap I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and suggested I tried using a different browser..”

“A week ago I had several issues with a bike purchased from Decathlon Harlow. Today I have a brand new replacement. The issues and problems were pleasantly, quickly and very efficiently resolved by Harlow branch manager Marc Cuckson. Thank you Marc at Decathlon, excellent customer service! Happy Carole Fern.”
