“Today took my grandson's bike back as the front brake was damaged. The bike chap in Stockport provided outstanding service by repairing the bike at once within ten minutes. I want to express my thanks for his skill, helpfulness and politeness. All without charge or quibble. Great service, thank you”

“i ordered a black watch strap and payed for next day delivery, waited over a week and got a blue strap. i am waiting for the strap i paid for. as they have there are none in stock i will have to call once again, and hopefully get a proper answer,”

“I was brought a pair of Kipwarm jods last year. These have outlasted 5 other pairs of much more expensive breeches brought at the same time or after. I'm off to decathlon this week to buy a few more pairs as I'm amazed by the price and quality. Last year was the first winter I didn't get chilblains on my thighs as well using them!”

“Visited Surrey quays 6th October in evening to buy some parts for my triban 500. Was sold the wrong parts. Even when I queried it staff couldn't be bothered to check. Very unhelpful not impressed. Now have to make a return journey to try and get correct parts.”

“Quechua Arpenaz 300 Rain Men's Waterproof 3 in 1 Jacket - bought 3 of these this week for myself and colleagues on Security at Man Uni...work in all weathers and thus far this jackets been great.Would rather have had a black fleece insert than grey but that being the only criticism this is great value and great coat”

“I bought a Tribord Easybreath snorkelling mask in June and tried it out for the first time a couple of weeks ago in the Caribbean. It's a superbly designed piece of equipment that is so easy to use. Visibility is unrivalled and there was no misting or fogging. At times you completely forgot you had it on. I'll never go back to using my old masks and snorkels again. It worked perfectly and generated an enormous amount of interest with people from all over the world asking where to get one. The small retaining clip on the snorkel unfortunately snapped, so beware when separating the snorkel from the mask - but Decathlon replaced it without quibble. Fantastic product - great customer service.”

“My order did not arrive. Decathlon's deliverers claim that my address (that has received thousands of letters and parcels over the last 35 years) is `incomplete'. The deliverer (Post Office I am told) claimed to have tried to deliver two days ago but the first I heard about this was when I received an email informing me that my credit card had been refunded. I have spoken to customer service who was unable to help and I has not offered any compensation for my inconvenience. I have re-ordered the shoes and will try click and collect to a store - a service that takes another 5 days....”

“i purchased a size medium rafel 720 beginning of september at the reduced/sale price, only to find 3 weeks later it has been reduced by another £50 .this is the second time this has happened to me,the last time was when i purchased a triban 7, a couple of weeks later it had dropped another £49.decathlon should have a sale price and stick to it! because this has now happened twice,i will seriously have to think twice if i will purchase another decathlon bike as no customer wants to feel like they have been shafted,BTW if anyone is interested,the rafel 720 is a fantastic bike,shame about decathlons sale/pricing policy”

“Be aware if purchasing Asics. The Decathlon site gets the sizes wrong. I ordered men's UK 9.5. The size guide shows this equates to EU 44.5 and US 10.4!- Correct. The web info for the cumulus shoe showed UK 9.5 EU 44 however I went ahead as the order was made in UK size. I received UK size 9. When I queried this and asked for UK 9.5 I was told that they did not sell that size. Why could I order it then? I happened to check my account and found that a second order had been created but this was for EU44. This I got cancelled and purchased shoes elsewhere.”

“I bought a Hoprider 500 hybrid bike in June and was very pleased with all of the bike's extras such as integral dynamo, kick stand, parcel rack, chain guard. However, at 18kg, the bike proved too heavy to be efficient at climbing hills and I reluctantly concluded that it wasn't the bike for me as I did not want everyone to have to keep waiting for me. I was very pleasantly surprised to learn of Decathlon's 365 day return policy. I returned the bike this morning and was given a full refund. Excellent service. Thank you.”

“I wanted to buy some sailing boots "Ozean 900" in size 45, price £79. They are out of stock in the UK, and I cannot even place an order. I could buy some in France and collect them in a store there when I go next week, but the price in France is 99Euros (about £90). So not great Customer service really”
