“Though initially a mix-up was made with the click and collect at the store. The store on hearing of the problem, causing me to have to make a special round trip of 60 miles to the store, apologised and gave me a sizeable discount on the price of the table tennis table. Things can go wrong and the way a company reacts tells you a lot about them.”

“I love Decathlon especially now that it is all under ONE roof. I visit Surrey Quays as I a more familiar with the area but the new one in Croydon has been well received by my friends who prefer to visit the Purley Way. Recently I have had cause the buy camping equipment and tennis kit for my boy of 6 years who has suddenly taken a interest and I found EVERYTHING I was looking for from mini rackets to balls to suit his age. The staff are always on hand to help without following you around and getting on your nerves. I also shop for my daughters swimming gear, mainly caps and towels, swimsuits are okay but not great for her. She is better suited to a racing Speedo. I love the tracksuit pants which come in the form of toga, running or just plain daily wearing trousers, and the winter / snow jackets, especially the microfibre ones. All colours and reasonably priced. I have had cause to buy bike riding gear and ballet in the past, gymnastics and horse riding, karate and squash - in short - easy shopping and massive range of everything. I have not been snow skiing but friends to ski every year shop here always for their gear so thats where I would head if I was looking for that. Lastly - the price is fantastic and quality excellent. A first stop for me not matter what I need. I will be back. Annette”

“My friend is using the traditional tent which takes longer time to pitch but quicker to put it away. This one is easy to pitch, but around 10 -15 min to put it away including watching the videos.”

“I've got this Fitbit Charge HR from Decathlon at a very good price -virtually the cheapest I could find at that point in time. It arrived quickly and as promised and I have no complaints whatsoever. (Bonus part of this review: The process to create the online account was also very straightforward and took me less than 2 minutes!).”

“I loved Decathlon - having all the sports under one huge roof is great. I find the quality of the goods to be decent overall and in some cases (bikes, tents, rucksacks) to be very good and great value. Their returns policy is excellent, allowing returns after long periods without intrusive grilling about why. This makes it easy to buy with confidence.”

“I had some issue's, with 'royal mail' not receiving an item. The service I received from ' royal mail' was extremely poor. The Decathlon were fantastic - they eased a lot of the stress, I felt with 'royal mail'. Decathlon staff were patient and understanding. Decathlon sent me a replacement order, no charge, I needed the raincoat I ordered for my Granddaughter's 'SOMME' trip. Decathlon, are the family oriented store, where they have the old fashioned approach - which is very rare today, to hp the customer, and be happy to do it!”

“Superb customer service. Bought a tent and delivery was excellent. On opening the tent there was a minor fault with an internal cord, telephoned customer service to see if they could send a new cord, but as it stitched in they offered to collect my tent and deliver a new one free of charge. Staff were very knowledgable and polite, couldnt have been more helpful. Kept me up to date with the progress of the delivery. I have shopped online with many retailers but never had such good customer service”
