“Ordered cross trainer at end of July (at an additional cost for delivery to NI) didn't receive until end of August. Called mid July, was promised someone would be in contact to arrange the delivery, Nobody called & so contacted customer services again end August. Noone was able to explain why there was a delay.”

“The fabric part of the upper of the left Arin 500 Grey yachting deck trainer became detached the first time I wore the shoe. I bought at Decathlon's Surrey Quays store and exchanged it for a replacement pair a few days later in the Antibes, France store without any problem.”

“I wanted a Tribord Easybreathe snorkel mask but was not sure which size I needed. As I live over an hour away from your nearest store, I phoned Reading before I left home. I was told that help would be available to get the right size and that they had plenty of each size available in store to try. When I got to the store, the assistant told me that they only had one medium mask in stock and no other sizes at all. After measuring and trials I decided the medium size was probably OK. It would have been nice to have tried other sizes to confirm this. Had this one not fitted, you would have only had one star after being given wrong information and travelling all that way for nothing.”

“Really impressive service. Needed a replacement part to be fitted but because I don't live near a Decathlon store they sent me the part, which I then had fitted by a well-known cycle retailer, and Decathlon then refunded me the fitting cost. Can't say fairer than that!”

“Purchased a Thule 4 Bike Hang on 9708 Tow bar Cycle carrier. Best Price I could find, delivery as promised (about a week) but very poorly packed in flimsy cardboard and been repacked by the carrier. I only used the rack twice. The 2 bikes were swaying more than I expected so I stopped frequently to check them and found a major issue with the carrier. It is designed to fold away from the car to give access to the boot and is held in place by 2 bolts in vertical slots. When the bolts are loosened and slid up the tubes the rack can hinge backwards. I reset the bolts at the bottom of the slots and tightened the bolts each time I stopped but could not overcome the problem. if they slid up much further the bikes would have been deposited on the road. I contacted Decathlon and explained the problem, they arranged collection of the rack and a full refund. So 1 star for delivery, and 5 for after sales service. And be very wary of buying a Thule Tow bar bike rack unless it has a good safety system to prevent unplanned release of the tipping mechanism.”

“I was disappointed with the Decathlon service. This was predominantly because I had ordered a pair of trainers size 6 1/2 to be collected from the Southampton store, and when I checked them, found I had been given size 6, which are too tight!!”

“Raised concerns about btwin alur bike which was delivered in unacceptable packaging. Box was in tatters and had been opened, wheels do not run true, plus other issues. After some communication with Decathlon I was asked to submit pictures of the issues, which I did. I have had no response from Decathlon since sending the pictures to them What a shambles!!!!”

“First time buying from Decathlon,got sizing totally wrong!! So decided to visit store to try on items & exchange,which proved very simple. Loved the feel of the jodhpurs & really like the t-shirt I brought which was great in the hot weather to ride in.”
