“I ordered the items to make sure they were in stock and waited 2 days. When I came to pick it up item were in stock in the shop. It would have been good to know in advance items were available in the shop and not wait 2 days! Apart from that it worked well.”

“Purchased winter cycling jacket. I am on a larger side of things so went for largest available. Checked sizing guide before ordering and went for XXL that should fit nicely To my surprise the jacket is too small. The paper label states XXL to fit chest ....cm but the fabric label sewn in says XXL to fit chest ....cm and this is 7cm less than given on paper label. Bit upsetting really.”

“Very helpful staff as always - turned up to buy a new bike lock (because I had to cut the old one) and they looked after the bike behind the counter while I browsed without any fuss at all. Lock was best price I could find and, as everything else there, terrific value for money. I am not sure why the other building was demolished - surely not to make way for more luxury flats for city twats - so I trust their range of sports and choice is not affected too much.”

“I purchased a waterproof jacket which was extremely good value and delivered very quickly. The jacket arrived and was a perfect fit but unfortunately had a missing zip pull. Not a big problem but thought I'd contact customer service and see if they could order a replacement. Got straight through on the phone, not your usual call centre experience, and spoke to Mervyn who couldn't have been more helpful. He advised that this was the last jacket, no other stores had one, so he couldn't offer a replacement. He offered to exchange for a similar but I advised I'd like to keep the jacket so he offered to contact the manufacturer, Simond, to see if they could provide the zip pulls. A few days later I got a positive reply and the following week some tags arrived in the post. First class service. Well done!”

“I do appreciate the quality and cost of the items that Decathlon sell and am also grateful to have 2 stores within cycling distance. However, this is the second time I have placed orders into a store for collection both receiving a next day delivery confirmation email, but both were not delivered to the store until the day after. DECATHLON, PLEASE SORT OUT YOUR ONLINE SYSTEMS. If it cannot be next day (per the emails) then DONT SAY IT WILL BE. This will likely push me towards other retailers who have far more effective user experience and maintain their delivery commitments.”

“I have never had anything but good experiences in Decathlon. The prices are unbeatable and the quality is definitely there too. I have bought a lot of equipment over the years- cycling gear, clothing, food supplements, and a lot of riding and horse gear and I have been satisfied with every single item. Staff is very approachable and helpful and the choice offered in store is pretty good. Plus if I want to go to Decathlon for even more horse equipment I can leave my husband in the running and cycling section and we are both happy!”

“Bike was 4 days later turning up than they originally said. Good customer service and communication though. Very happy with the bike (Triban 520 Flat Bar Road Bike ). Rear wheel was a bit out of true but fixed that myself.”

“My initial order contained 3 items. I returned two of them for reimbursement. Bike bells for my children. I found that the sound they were making was more a metallic noise than a true bell sound, especially the "Cars" one. I asked for an exchange for the third item which arrived damaged at the first delivery. The new one arrived quicker than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised. But I was also surprised that the bottle was in an even poorer package than at the first delivery. It is happy that it didn't arrived damaged again. There was though a slight bump mark. I am wondering about the resistance to shocks of this bottle. We'll see... Despite I was not quite happy with the quality of the items I received at first, I was happy of the services provided by Decathlon: quick answer to my questions by e-mail and efficient return and replace service. I would conclude with advising (if I may) that the items are sent by Decathlon in thicker enveloppes to implement a minimum protection of the clients' purchases.”
