bought a Samsung TV in June 24. There was already an issue after setting up the TV. I went to the shop in Malahide road and asked if can return it because there. seems to be a fault. I was told return isn't possible, mentioning the terms and conditions. I've never informed about it when I purchased the item. They would be prepared to log a case for me- thy just need my serial number. I send the number a couple of time, just to be told this number is not recognised by Samsung (the details were taken directly from inside the TV info) . Went back today with another issue. Had a little argument with sales person, when I asked to log a case for me. He told me he doesn't know when he can do it, because he might be busy. I asked what would happen if the TV can't be repaired. Would I get a refund? No - it's not DID policy, only a credit note for further purchase. Non of all that have been told me when I bought the TV. Finally they logged a case for me- the TV will be collected next week for check up. Samsung already did a remote check up, result: something wrong with the TV. Thanks to DID policy and no courtesy, I spend hours to resolve issues, and will be without TV for at least 7 days. DID hasn't any influence on this? They are a big Samsung customer. Never again DID

The worst customer service I have EVER encountered was from DID electrical Briarhill Galway. Bought 3 large items a few weeks ago, delivery was a nightmare, items arrived separately and none on the day scheduled. One item needed installation and I called to shop on a Tuesday and was told installation guy would be with me on the following Thursday. Thursday came, no call came as promised. I rang and was told I was definitely on his list to call. Late afternoon I called the shop again and was told again I was on list for call. He never arrived and neither he nor the shop made contact since. I eventually got a 3rd party to carry out the work required. I will never step inside DID again and would advise others to steer clear.

If I could leave no stars I would. Tried to return a faulty item under warranty with the receipt etc and was told they won’t refund for the faulty item. When I pointed out this was contrary to the consumer rights legislation they told me they don’t recognise this legislation.

I paid for a cooker on Saturday, which they stated was in stock and would not be delivered until Tuesday. Tuesday came and no cooker, Wednesday came no cooker. They passed me from one store to another on the phone, blaming each other and told me to go to their warehouse to collect it. Online email no reply, no staff supposedly. Never again will I deal with DID, Dublin. Appalling customer service , never been treated so bad before

Cancelled an order 12hrs after it was made, 17 days later I am still waiting for my refund and/or acknowledgement that my order was cancelled. Website and customer service department still operating in the bronze age it seems as ive spent 4hrs on the phone trying to get through to somebody and sent numerous emails. D.I.D has tried to deliver my cancelled order twice and still no confirmation of this. Avoid

This is just an extra to my previous review… I can’t believe how many disappointed people have dealt with this company.. a common theme” we have escalated the issue” bull… I was told on day 3 it was escalated only to find out later the following week “ we will escalate the issue” was being offered again.. complete la k if respect for hard working customers who have to make time to deal with DID nonsense..I just wish I had read the reviews before walking into my local store .. it’s a grubby little operation

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the technical support provided by DID. Despite their claims of offering assistance to customers, I was consistently disappointed. For weeks, my emails went unanswered, and the phones kept us on hold for 2 hours and nothing. It's disheartening to see a company neglect its commitment to customer service. I bought a television, it arrived broken and I would like a collection and refund. or exchange for one that works.

Washer dryer the sales advisor sold was too big my kicker board would not fit back or doors wouldnt close i was informed all machines were standard size clearly not

Shocking online service. I ordered an item (25 April 2034) 3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t arrived. The email I received said 10 working days from placing the order. I then tried to call the online order team (1hr + with no answer on the 13 May 2024) I had been emailing them since 7 May 2024 and I am still awaiting a response (todays date 14 May 2024). This is utter nonsense as online it said that the item was in stock but I was told from the last email communication on the 7 May 2024 that it’s wasn’t event in the country. How can it say in stock on the website when the item is not in the country? Miss leading advertising. Very disappointing. On top of that I can’t get hold of them to get my money back. Thus I have to resort to writing a review in my last efforts to get some form of a response from DID.

Item itself is good, customer service , absolutely zero, i have never been so disappointed and draged around. I ordered click and colect to crumlin store. First it to two weeks for the item to get to store, only for me to find out that its been sent to wrong store. Next day i get an email that it's in the crumlin store, I go there, the item is not there, nobody knows why i got the email, they check at the back , the item isnt there, I'm on my way home when I get another email saying my item has arrived, I call this time, item isnt there, nobody knows why I'm getting these emails. I send an enquiry to customer care to ask why im being dragged around like this, and that i would like to cancel the item and get a refund, I get an email back, no apology or regret, just : " I guess you are enquiring where is your item, its on the way , being sent to the store of your choice". Eventually, four weeks after paying for the item, i get another email, that its in the crumlin store, and finaly i got the item . This is second time out of 3, that i had problem with DID. Never will I shop in DID again, Curry's, Harvey and orher stores are much faster and better service. But I must say, that Marcos in Sundrive store was very helpful and tried his hardest to rectify the mistake, but couldnt say it about any other staff member.

The combination of unresponsive customer support, unnecessary charges, and failure to rectify issues makes me reluctant to recommend this company to anyone. Keep your distance and explore alternative options for a more reliable experience.

Terrible customer service. Waiting over 20 days for d.i.d to call back to my house to install appliances. Called head office for help on numerous occasions, promised call backs to ensure installers were booked but nobody ever rang me back. Promised numerous times that installers were booked to arrive on certain days but they never showed up. Will never buy another thing off D.I.D. Spent thousands on appliances and tv and nobody cares to pick up a phone and ring me after Ive been trying for days to sort of things. Disgusted with their customer service.

Worst Customer service I have ever experienced.They sold me a faulty PS5 which was a christmas present for my kids and they refused to take it back and ordered me to ask for help from Sony which I failed to get thru to and I drove back to let them know and we tried with them but cldnt through and still they insist i take it back and go try, how??? And for how long.Manager was very uncompassionate and walked out on me as he said we r going no where, he was very arrogant.

I ordered a George Foreman sandwich maker online from DID to be picked up at a local store in Dublin. It said on website it would take 3-5 days. 7 days later I still hadn't heard anything so I emailed them. I didn't get a response to my email. On the 8th day, I rang the store and the guy said it hadn't arrived into the store and he gave me the number of their online team. After 6 attempts, I got through to their online number and spoke to a woman called Laura. She told me the order was delayed because it had been damaged in transit and was sent back and another one was to be delivered to the store. When I said to her that I had sent an email after 8 days wondering where my order was and got no reply, she said the woman who was assigned to deal with the emails was out sick. Then she said she was personally taking responsibility for the order and said she had sent an email (while we were on the call) to the nearest branch for them to bring it to branch that I selected for click and collect the following day and I would be able to pick it up in the store on Friday 22nd December. The next day after this call, I got an email from another person in DID called Shauna who told me the transfer hasn't gone through yet. She didn't seem to have any knowledge or there was no record on my file of the conversation I had with Laura whereby she assured me that I would be able to collect the item on Friday 22nd. Today, the 22nd the store will soon be closed and I have received no notification that I could collect the item today. I've rang the company 5 times and it just rings out with no answer. This item was for a Christmas present, I ordered it on the 12th December and 10 days later, there is no sign of it and no one picking up the phone. This is despite being given a personal guarantee from one of their staff that it would be on the transit van the following day to the selected store. I have now sent them an email cancelling my order and seeking a refund. I have absolutely no confidence in this company. Appalling customer service.

Unbelievable bad service. Rang to see if appliance was available and if could be installed that week. Was assured they it could be. Was given a delivery date and time 3 times and there was 3 no shows or call to Inform just an email to say the order would be rescheduled. 3 weeks later and after last no show I cancelled the order and requested money back. Very disappointing and very bad customer service. Will be busy anything from them again.

Absolutely disgusting customer service! If I could give a zero star review I would. Ordered a cooker on 9th of October, received an email on the 10th to say it was with a courier company. It is now the 28th of October still no delivery. After repeated conversations with customer service to be told different excuses ever time, requesting call backs that I never received I cancelled my order. Will never ever use this company again and I strongly advise people to stay clear of this company.

6 week old candy washing stopped worked. Engineer could not fix it so we're waiting 2 weeks and no ones knows when the part will be shipped. Never again. When I queried compensation I was told Did don't compensate customers. Well never a truer word. Last time I step into a Did again

DON'T GO TO THIS STORE EVER!!!! Zero customer service. They literally sighed over the phone when I rang for assistance with a machine that cost me €1,500.00. I have been 3 weeks trying to get it fixed and I'm still waiting without a leg to stand on our anyone willing to help. They simply should not be in business because they have no intention of honouring any agreement made. Really bad.

I had a disappointing experience at the DID store due to misleading products, inadequate pricing, and a failure to honor their Price Match Promise. The laptop I purchased was branded as Dynabook instead of Toshiba, which was misleading. Additionally, when I requested a price match, their customer service refused to match the lower price I found at another store. Their lack of adherence to their own policies and dismissive attitude was disappointing. I hope they address these issues to improve the customer experience.In summary, my experience at the DID store was unsatisfactory. The misleading product branding and refusal to honor their Price Match Promise left me feeling disappointed. I hope they take the necessary steps to improve their product representation, pricing policies, and customer service to regain customer trust and provide a better overall experience.
