“You know how you only write a review after a bad experience… well this is it… after ordering for over a year now with discount coffee… I’ve generally had a very good experience.. orders come in perfect and like to try a few different coffees which is great… delivery also very quick… sometimes next day. But I’ve had a few mistakes over the year from getting sent the wrong type of coffee to the wrong syrups. As for the discount code that pops up for 10% off order every time I go to order.. it’s only valid 1 time.. so very disappointing having to pay full price for a repeat valued customer.”

“It pours nicely but it's bitter. It's not the worst. It's hard to find a flavoursome decaf coffee bean. I drink decaf all day but would prefer milk in this to cut the bitterness. Nice service from the website”

“I purchased from discount coffee 5 days ago but dpd haven't even received my parcel yet so ill be waiting prob 2 more days at least which is a downer for my 1st order as had been told they were fast delivery but how and ever good prices. Hopefully coffee will be good when I recieve it.”

“Delayed delivery of over a week on my delivery. Wrong items in my delivery also. Uncharacteristic as it's the first time it has happened and I've ordered several times usually with next day delivery. Maybe give them the benefit of the doubt this”

“Bought Wanted Sumatra Mandheling Coffee Beans 1kg and a kg of the Colombian, The sumatra was disappointing and tasted weak even when finely ground The Colombian is a really nice coffee at a decent price , My friend tried the sumatra in a Mocca pot and loved it , I used a drip method and found it weak , The delivery time was great and with dpd , Will buy more of the Colombian but would be nice to be able to try the different coffee's in smaller packs”

“Great idea, prompt delivery, however, I purchased 5kg of special offer coffee but the taste was very disappointing. Can't help feeling it was simply too get rid of sub standard coffee as we were obliged to buy in bulk in order to avail of the"special offer". Disappointing”

“May not be inclined to order again. I ordered a gift voucher which never came by email. One week later I ordered another as it was for a gift. Neither arrived until late the following week and in the meantime I bought another replacement gift elsewhere. No I'm stuck with 2 vouchers I no longer need.”

“For years this has been a 5 star business. The reason I’m giving 3 stars in this (requested) review, is because the quality of the 1kg Temple Bar beans changed significantly, to the point it wasn’t the same product anymore. I contacted support by email and got AI responses that confirmed this: “we’ve had to make a slight tweak to our Temple Bar blend over the past year due to rising costs, which did result in a change in both flavor and aroma. We completely understand your feedback, and we’re sorry that it didn’t meet your expectations. The good news is that we’ve recently secured coffee contracts for the year ahead, and starting in February, the Temple Bar blend will return to its original recipe.” While I appreciated the honesty in this AI response, I have been left with kilos of coffee beans that aren’t worth grinding. When I event got a human response they sent me a replacement pack, but it must’ve been the old batch because it didn’t taste like the original. I’ve since moved onto the Metropolitan blend which was promising at first, but the most recent batch is inconsistent. I am all in favour of them switching things up to save costs and ensure availability, but it’s misleading to sell a different blend under the same product name.”

“Good quality coffee and excellent delivery service. However customers need to keep an eye on special offers and make sure that those offers are applied. As part of my most recent order, I wanted to avail of a buy 3, get 1 free offer but when my delivery arrived, the offer hadn’t been applied. I bought the 3 bags as part of a larger order, but no free fourth bag for me. I’ll go elsewhere in future.”
