“I booked a flight in February to fly December! My brother booked the same flights via Expedia, he was informed his return flight was cancelled, six weeks later I'd still heard nothing so I contacted this joke of a company Dream world travel (nightmare travel world would be more appropriate), 5 days later I got a reply! To my shock the return flights been cancelled lol, I requested a refund to be sent the company refund policy, this could take between 6 and 8 weeks BUT! POSSIBLY UP TO 6 MONTHS, I've since spoken directly to the airline involved, they have no record of the booking, so either DWT has been refunded or they never actually booked the flights in the first instance. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
Ps my brother had his refund in 10 days from EXPEDIA.

“Another victim of this travel agency: Waiting for a refund of Ā£1144 since July 2020.
Contacted them 9 times over a year and a half (!) to gather the refund request. They were consistently answering that due to high volume of refund requests they cannot handle my request, although they clearly approved they got the money back from the airline for the refund.
For 1 year and 5 months (and counting...) they are too busy to give my money back (minus 15% admin fee!!!) although they have that money in hand already!”

“My struggle continues with this travel agency and my travel is a dream now !
I got conflicting response from DWT customer service team that the Turkish Airline flight I booked was cancelled and hence I am unable to check in. My question to the DWT team is why they waited until I check-in to inform about this? Why my eTicket was not issued in first place on 29th September 2021? How much time it will take to get refund so that I can book with other airline? The DWT team ignored all of my requests completely and offered me alternative flights for the dates I can't travel because I have pre-booked public transport and accommodation abroad. They are not even providing me evidence/official confirmation from Turkish Airline that the flight was cancelled which makes me wonder if they are actually telling the truth. The response from DWT is crafty, deceptive and I am depressed now as I don't have money to book another flight for the dates I can travel.
My first review
I booked my return ticket through DWT on 29th September 2021 and received invoice for the same via email. Booking was easy, straight forward and help available from their team. Today I tried to check-in for my flight with Turkish Airline and I was unable to do it. I called DWT customer service on 02031959888/02085899888 but their phone lines (you might notice that their landline number changes on their main website) were on automated answering machine 'Cellphone is switched off, try again later'. I contacted Turkish Airline customer service and I was informed that the ticket booking was never completed from DWT end and they asked me to contact my travel agency urgently i.e. DWT.
I can't believe fraud companies like Dream World Travel still exist in London and registered with ATOL.
I am still waiting for their customer service to respond. I wish I could have read all these reviews before booking with them. I am really stressed now as I have no means of income and now stuck with no flight and no money and all the credit goes to 'Dream World Travel' which makes travelling actually a 'dream'.”

“This company is a bunch of liars! I requested for a refund ticket since January 2021, but until now no one is giving me the right information about the refund. They sent me an email that they have received the money from the airline last August, I was informed that I will be refunded in September, then move to October 7, then moved to October 21, then moved again to October 31. “Never seen such an unprofessional and horrible company - very bad. Since 19 months chasing for refund for flight cancelled by the airlines due to Covid, have been told refund will be given so we are simply following up for refund (flight was in June 2020). When we speak with Ukraine Airlines who just say refunds have been already dealt with the agent, Dream world Travel. Finally, last month (September 2021) they offered a much reduced value but in form of a voucher that can only be used with Dream world travel over the phone only. We agreed on the same day when voucher was offered. They said it will take 14 days. On 15th Day I chased again. After 21 days received voucher - guess what it can't be used ourselves so we need telephone them and they can advise the tariffs. So now trying to use voucher. A very sweet talker Lubna who has been dealing with since 19 months, same person and still we can't use voucher now. We have copies of all email trail since last year.
When trying to book over the phone to use the voucher they quote much higher price than what they show on their website (more than double). Stuck again and still waiting for resolution or refund as originally expected. Now spoiling our plan again. We will never want to use this agent and airlines again. Rubbish Dream world travel and rubbish airlines Ukraine. Still waiting for refund, our hard earned money. Shameful company making people feeling stuck. we have asked again to get refund and now if we don't, we will start spending more time, we will try to find out how to contact ombudsman or there is some other way(?) to help us get our much over due refund. “I booked a flight via their website. An agent the called offering completely different flights (dates & airlines), pressuring you into accepting / paying. When I got off the phone, I had the chance to price compare and they were charging ~10% more than the airline directly. I immediately called back, asking for a refund / cancellation and they now say they have a 15% cancelation policy, which they will not waive.

“I wish I could give ZERO stars, nothing!.
My partner and I paid this "company" (scam project) to get us a ticket and they did not, we had to buy another ticket directly through the airline, before buying our ticket ourselves, we contacted the airline to find out about our booking made by dreamworld they said nothing had been paid to them, the ticket was not bought, we tried to ask dreamworld to pay for the ticket and they gave excuses and talked about priority tickets being paid for first, aren't we a priority? After that they did not give any sustainable answers.
Their favourite phrase to use is "please wait 48hours" which just means eternity and they do not respond to emails.
They tell you that they use a supplier to buy their tickets to put the blame on someone else, who cares? It's a big lie obviously.
If you're a serious business, Give us our refund, tell your "refund department" to do it or we'll write an honest review everyday (no kidding).
And why aren't your departments working in unison, they put the blame on "other departments" actual established companies are able to refer clients to relevant departments and sort issues out! Don't act like the department is in another universe.
It's really not cool to take people's hard earned money. We know you have our money! You didn't buy the ticket, we were told, so you are holding on to the money.”

Legally I'm entitled to a full refund of my Ā£534 flight ticket but this company are only going to refund me Ā£394. They are telling me they charge a Ā£140 admin processing fee of my refund. “These bas**rds are pathetic scammers and money stealers. We booked 2 tickets in the beginning of 2020 and the return flight got cancelled due to covid. We had to pay separately full fare for emergency flight to get back to London. However, following our application for just a partial refund for our tickets with this utterly shameless and Dodgy company Dream World Travel, we have been waiting for over 15 months now and they have not given us anything. They keep giving a standard reply every time I enquire, their complaints email is not answered, 2-3 times they have asked for our ticket numbers / new transferred numbers nonsense which they should be asking the Etihad airline company, but will not process our refund.
The government is also at fault here. I do not understand how the government allows such unethical business to operate in the first place!!! There is no ombudsman service for them, don't think they are registered with IATA etc, no regulatory body to monitor their cowboy dealings and still they are openly running their Loot!!! The only recourse is fight a case in county court! Who is going to take this chance, trouble and suffer costs??? Wow, Bravo British Government!”

My flight cost me nearly Ā£600, and having had to cancel the flight due to COVID, I get Ā£258 offered to me as a refund, they lay the blame firmly with the airline (which having read the reviews I donāt believe a word of.) “Fraudulently claimed to have booked my seat on a long haul BA flight, but they had notā¦. As I checked with BA direct.
I requested an immediate refund which took 15 painful and frustrating weeks to obtain⦠in the end I resorted to CCJ Court Money claim threats, which made them aware I wasnāt to be messed with or plied with any further excuses.

“This company should re-brand as 'NIGHTMARE WORLD TRAVEL', as that is a much more accurate description of the way it operates. I have been trying to extract a refund from them for over a year, and although initially I was willing to be patient as I was aware that airlines were taking their time to refund both direct customers and travel agents, 14 months later my patience has ran out. Every time I contact them, the refund is 'about to be issued' but that never becomes reality. I shall now pursue the claim elsewhere as it seems obvious that if I don't want to be fobbed off with one of their 'vouchers' I'm not going to get anything back from them. Please don't buy anything from these people, and check out the other 1-star reviews on the web reflecting similar experiences to mine.”
