“This flat was found to be in excellent condition with all modern conveniences including washer, dryer, dishwasher, large screen Smart-TV and high-speed wireless internet. Located just outside the city centre, it is close to everything yet free from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has its own private parking and, for those without a car, the bus stop is less than a five-minute walk away with routes to the main shopping/business thoroughfare of Princes Street, the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, shopping (Asda and Gyle shopping centre) and to the Airport. A Tesco supermarket is also a few short minutes walk away. Altogether a good experience.”
“Stayed in 1 BR flat in Sheriff Park, Leith neighborhood in Edinburgh, June 2013. Very handy to bus connection (#22 direct to Waverly) which we used on a daily basis -- purchased a 1-month bus pass (available just around the corner from Waverly: 1 block west then 1 block south) and found bus connections to be very convenient. Side trips we took were to Dunfermline, Glasgow, and Portobello, the last by local bus, an additional advantage. The flat in Leith is on the ground floor and although small it has everything we needed, as well as the spectacular view of Water of Leith and the bird life -- better than watching TV! Gillian, the contact, did not actually meet us on arrival but her husband John did, and he successfully checked us out on everything in the flat: central heating, redundant electric appliance activation, rubbish receptacles, and Gillian did check in with us in person later. She is very conscientious and helpful with questions we had. There's a Tesco just south of the flat, but I found the Sainburys a short distance north of the bus stop (to the first traffic light) then turning right, to be a nicer store and that's where we routinely shoppped for daily necessities. We pepared meals for probably half the time we were there, 3 wks, and had no problems with operation of kitchen appliances. This flat was just what we were looking for, and can't say enough about how helpful Janet at Edinburgh Flats was in her assistance with selection of this particular place -- location is a short bus ride to the city center yet has the advantage of a totally quiet location, not counting the music of the birds. Couldn't have been more pleased.”
“Nice clean flat on a quiet side street in the lovely neighbourhood of Morningside. It met every expectation. The owners were friendly and easy to contact as well.”
“What a fabulous flat next to the lovely Meadows. The flat itself is well equipped for all your needs and is complete with a lovely surprise of milk, bubbly, smoked salmon and oatcakes!! There was even soap powder for the washing machine should you need to use it! The flat is lovely and clean and spacious, there are 3 shops very close by and Jane is an absolute pleasure to deal with. We hope to visit again next year.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in this lovely Thistle Street apartment. We were met there on our arrival, after a short walk from the bus station, by Marsha who showed us around and who left us with a very much appreciated welcoming basket of necessary edibles and a vase of beautiful roses.
The apartmnent was spacious, sunny and equipped with everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable and to enable us to cook for ourselves, which we usually did.
We also enjoyed being surrounded by the art works.
The apartment was a haven to come back to rest in after our days spent exploring Edinburgh on foot. There was a little bit of street noise but not enough to disturb our sleep, and the location was very central,so this is to be expected. There is a great vegetarian restaurant at the end of the street.”
“We used the flat for a week when we were in Edinburgh, principally for our son's graduation. The flat was well maintained and modern. Everything you need is provided for. During our stay we were never troubled by noise and the area where the flat is located is very nice. There is a good coffee/snack bar v. close by as well as a Sainsbury's. Pubs and restaurants are close by and its location means that there are a few nice walks in easy distance. It is possible to walk to Princes Street from the flat, but a taxi is only around £5.00. The only down side is the expensive parking facility provided with the flats, but we knew about this before going. We will definitely return should we venture back to Edinburgh.”
“Lovely flat in a quiet location. Easy access to the city, with plenty of nice independent shops nearby. Clean and spacious with all you need for a relaxing break.”
“This lovely flat was a perfect vacation spot for 3 generations -- grandparents, parents, and 2 children. We all had plenty of space, well-equipped facilities, and an incredible location right on Rose Street. We were promptly met by someone to give us keys and go through helpful information, and the double glazed windows meant we weren't bothered by street noise. Lovely, clean apartment too. We highly recommend this flat.”
“house comfy had everything needed for our stay. good location close to bus stops for centre of Edinburgh owners very friendly plenty of pubs close by. Only downside no curtains in bedrooms making them very light at sunrise, but apart from that we had a lovely stay.”
“I've stayed in quite a few apartments recently, and can instantly get a feel of a place. This flat is lovely and modern, well kept with good facilities and was a good location for my needs. Leith Walk, the Omni centre and Broughton st are just a few - 10 mins walk away. On my first night I had a problem with the lock, but this was quickly sorted out and was not a problem again. Recommended.”
“Stayed the weekend of 19th - 21st July. This apartment is in an excellent location just away from all the bars to have no noise disturbance but close enough (2 mins to the nearest bar). It was well furnished wth plenty of room for 5 of us but we could have fitted another 6 in there. Would really recommend it to both families and party groups. We will definitely be going there again when we go back.”
“Our stay in this modern, clean flat was excellent. It was very well equipped for our stay with our 8 year old daughter. Location was perfect just by the beach with shops and cases nearby. Edinburgh was easily accessible too (10 mins on a bus). Will definitely stay again. The Williams family.”
“The flat is excellent, wonderful location, nice facilities, but I missed having a microwave oven and a dryer. I recomend this flat and I'll rent it again next time I'm in Edinburgh! Thanks for everything!”
“This is a lovely property, very homely and comfortable. The owner gave us so much help and information too.
Everything worked perfectly, and it was spotless. We felt at home from the minute we walked in.
Situated on a good many bus routes, we were able to get buses direct to the zoo, the Royal Mile, and almost right to the Grassmarket.
We would love to stay there again, we loved it.”
“We stayed in the Rose Street apartment for 3 nights in early July. Location was perfect - so close to all sights, restaurants bars etc. Flat was really clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of space and well equipped. Will definitely recommend to others and will return to this flat when returning to Edinburgh. Thanks a lot.”
