“From the moment we were met by the owner of the flat we felt like we were home. The flat was spacious and warm and was well equiped. There was a nice welcome pack and a bottle of wine! What more could we ask for. There were 5 of us staying over the weekend and we had plenty of room. We found the three flights of stairs a good way to exercise and there had been excellent information in the flat and in correspondence with the owner about the local area, places to eat and visit. We were within easy walking distance of the main tourist areas of Edinburgh and for Inverleith Park where we started the Moonwalk(our reason for the weekend visit)We cannot wait for next year when we hope to return and would love to use the flat again. Highly recommended. The whole process of booking was easy and hassle free. Well done to everyone involved. Apart from the dreadful weather we couldn't have asked for more.”
“The flat is very nice, well taken care of, cousy, the wifi had wonderful signal, there was a microwave, fridge, hairdryer, tv, alarm clock, towels, everything you need!

“Our stay at this apartment was very comfortable and proved an excellent base for exploring the city. We discovered the No.35 bus in particular took us into and back from the historic city centre from almost outside the door. Our hosts, Bill and Margaret, couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful which helped make our stay even more pleasurable. I'm now recovering from walking round Edinburgh; the castle, museum, gardens and Royal Mile with my two young grandchildren - a most enjoyable if exhausting visit and look forward to returning sometime soon!”

“This is a great wee house (bigger in reality than it looks in the photos)in an almost perfect location - central (just behind Charlotte Square and you can see West Register House out the window) with easy access to everywhere but incredibly quiet. Lots of nice touches and a real home feeling. To add the final flourish, there's a lovely wee patio garden (think there's a mini christmas tree in it) which is perfect for having a glass of wine and/or meal in at the end of the day - it has to be said that the weather in the second week (25degrees)we were there was better than in the first (freezing and raining)! Fiona and Calum are brilliant! Can thoroughly recommend to anyone.”

“We had a week=long stay at 4 Northumberland Place, Edinburgh, and cannot say too much about this beautiful, homely property. The decor is well-considered and attractive throughout; the rooms are spacious and airy; and the whole place is perfectly clean, with everything one might need, in terms of kitchen and creature comforts. We were greeted warmly, and all our communications were responded to promptly. My partner and I were holidaying with elderly relatives, whose train came in at mid-day. My inquiry as to whether we might gain entrance to the property somewhat earlier than is usual was met with friendliness and I was made to feel it was no problem. Highly recommended.”

Pleasantly surprised about the parking - usually this close to the city parking is near impossible so to find somewhere like this, well it's a real gem
Bus services are excellent, less than 10 minutes walk and you have the choice of 4 different bus services going to different parts of town
The flat is ideally placed as a base to explore the rest of the lowland areas
All in all we had a wonderful holiday and I thoroughly recommend this apartment, I would have no second thoughts about staying here again. Big thumbs up :)”
“Great apartment in a convenient location. The apartment has everything that you could want and was very cozy and welcoming after a long day of sightseeing.
We actually had to book the apartment very last minute (the same day as check-in) due to complications with our other booking and the staff at Edinburgh-Flats and the landlord were extremely helpful and accommodating!
Would definitely recommend this flat and Edinburgh-Flats to friends!!!”
“This was our first taste of apartment rental in Edinburgh, usually opting to stay in hotels so we were a little surprised by the deposit request but as soon as we arrived in the apartment it was clear that this was a beautiful felt and a "cut above" the norm.
After a friendly welcome from the owner we settled in and found that we really did have everything we needed in the flat, and also right on the doorstep with great delis, restaurants and cafes right outside. Happily, the apartment is just off the main road so we weren't aware of street noise etc.
In summary, a great apartment in a great location giving you plenty of opportunity to explore a great city.”
“The good points of this flat were it's location within walking distance to the city centre and the Grassmarket. Great shower, nice bedrooms and sitting/dining area.
Downside was the 3 flights of stairs. The toilet was small but adequate.”
“Nice and helpful owner, plenty of space - not only kitchen with dinner table but also big living room with great adjoining balcony. all kinds of kitchen stuff for self-catering, washing machine, warm water and heating perfectly working. friendly neighbours (we were 6 persons around 25 with rain-grimy bicycles and maybe a little noisy in the evenings, but only met tolerance and joviality), quiet area a little outside but city center is inside larger walking distance.
we liked it very much and can only warmly recommend the apartment.”

Clean comfortable welcoming clean flat all amenities needed for self catering accomadation, relaxed quiet, good reliable bus and taxi service if required, the extra welcoming pack I was left for me to help to settle in milk tea coffee etc, good size comfortable bedrooms, easy access to all rooms , cozy private garden, I will not hesitate to book this lovely flat in the future.”
