“I ordered broadband to be installed in the summer of 2016. I was informed that a new line would need to be installed from the cross-roads. Contractors visited the house and noted that a pole would need to be erected outside the house. This would require a larger crew. I was then told the work could not be completed until January 2017. In January 2017 I received a call informing me that installation had been scheduled for March 2017. No guarantee that it will happen in March. The job is clearly inconvenient and therefore not a priority to EIR.”
“Took months to get a phone line. Then told for weeks that it would not be suitable for broadband which is the only reason why I got it in. In the end it was a mistake in the installation in the cabinet which was stopping me from getting broadband. Now told I am unable to get fibre even though the cabinet in the village was installed months ago.”
“I would not recommend your company as we still have not been connected. Several men have been out and blamed the other one for not doing their job. A very badly organised and run company.”
“Pathetically slow broadband speeds. And, the local broadband has been breaking down regularly (knocking out broadband / internet service for all of the surrounding area including our household) . Effectively, you are being allowed to extort money from me (in respect of your unfair charges) in return for your dreadfully poor and often non-existent broadband / internet service. Shame on you.”
“Not sure that I can tell you I am happy we got the sports package with the broadband but your eir sales rep. Said we would require a sky box to put it on the TV we can not afford SKY the package is not really of use”

“I had agreed a new contract with EIR about 6 months ago. About 2 months later, EIR informed me that my contract was changing with a substantial monthly price increase. I said I was happy with my existing contract, and that I did not want the extra Sports service or extra Phone Talk Time. EIR informed me that I did NOT have any choice. Accept the new contract or leave EIR ............ very badly managed. I am seriously considering leaving EIR.”
