“Eir wouldn't give me my number back to access chronic medication, access to my bank, Renue and urgent services until I pay a bill they refused to take on installments.
I was told to go to an Eir Store and get a prepaid sim card. I went to Eir Drogheda and paid €20 only to be told I can't get my number and the €20”
“For no reason a fault happened on my line..
Tec support could not fix it...
Sending someone out in 7 days!!!!
Meanwhile no tv no phones because of Internet down...
When I tried to cancel my contract it was costing 500 euro...
Don't go with this company..”
“Attracted by eir broadband and phone offers, approached the local store. Staffs were alright.. Felt like the senior guy was training in new staffs and working under pressure :: nothing happened as per promises, i was told an engineer will call in, it never happened : i had to figure out the connections myself to active the service, my cooling off period was nearly over, got 2 days extended but with despair it was not any better with an extra 10 euro bill.. Had to cancel and now day 3 without any wifi waiting for my new provider. Customer care people say one thing and pass on to next one.. My last call with them was 1 hour 34 minutes by passing to different departments and people.. Its waste of peoples time and energy.. Eir is not better than any service.. Customer service is very bad and could wait more than hour. They will still blame the storm while other customer services works perfectly.. Its a disgrace and frustrating service.”
“Disgraceful company, horrendous customer service & an embarrassment to Ireland. Huge prices for terrible service, anytime there is as little as a breeze outside Wi-Fi is down for days with no help, fourth time in 3 months this has happened.”
“"If you are experiencing difficulties withdrawing your money or have been the victim of a trading scam, I strongly advise that you get assistance at TREBLESLTD/COM. They were able to help me obtain my money and profits back in a matter of days. If you provide TREBLESLTD/COM with your proof, you can expect to receive your entire profit and return right away.”
“My 80 year old father was completely scammed by a sales person from Eir. Was assured that they would sort out any previous contract and he would not be obliged to pay any new contract until the other contract was sorted. They said 30 day cooling period but took payment after 10 days. An absolute disgrace. Their accounts department are bully's and thief's. Took 1200 euro ftom my dad. AVOID”
“In a world full of promises, it's easy to fall into the trap of deception. My partner and I learned this the hard way when we lost $211,000 to a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme. The betrayal shook us deeply, casting shadows over our lives and testing our resilience. But in our darkest hour, hope emerged through an unexpected source—MON`EIO RECL-AIM;.CO’M. Thanks to a trusted friend’s recommendation, their expertise became our lifeline. With thoughtful investigation and unwavering support, they helped us reclaim every penny we thought was lost forever. This journey taught us the power of perseverance and the importance of seeking help when everything seems bleak. If you're facing similar challenges or know someone who is, remember there is always a path forward.”
“Absolute worse company. Please do not use eir. They treat there customers badly and overcharge .I recently made a complaint as they are charging me €49.99 for 500mb when its being sold for €34.99. I never agreed to this ammount but as there is no longer recording of conversation with Eir agent ,they sided with the agent and i the customer was treated atrociously ,when the truth is i never agreed to the €49.99 they are charging me. Eir dismissed me and closed the case after 1 day. Also contacted comreg but they did nothing.Eir have no respect for their customers and only care about getting as much money from us .Steer clear of eir and save yourself from a stressful ordeal.”
“My wife (who is registered blind) having cancelled her broadband SIM card on October 4 by phone was told the cancellation period was 30 days. In view of that information she let both the direct debit payments for October and November go through after that time and then asked me to cancel it from December based on that information. She then started to receive ‘no reply’ emails saying she owed Eir money. She tried unsuccessfully to contact Eir as we live in the UK and could not get through and also was unable to address the issue online as she did not have the reference number. She never had an online account. This week we returned to Ireland for the first in months due to her ongoing cancer treatment in the UK. We decided to go to the Eir shop in Navan to resolve the issue. The attitude of the member of staff who was not remotely interested in helping her solve the problem was frankly unacceptable. He then put her on the phone to customer services who were equally unhelpful. The result of this call was an extra months payment plus a fine for not paying on time. I believe the way my wife was treated was unacceptable from this company. It was a ‘tough, your problem’ attitude. I paid the money rather than me wife having to deal with the stress of this experience. I hope Eir are happy now!!!”
“Got a new phone and SIM card from Eir in Liffey valley shopping centre the SIM was faulty was without a phone for two weeks I used my old number from Vodafone after 5 days I went back into the store the checked it said it was fine was in London for a few days came back thinking it would work been back in Ireland no it didn't so I called customer service said the SIM was faulty sending me out a new one tomorrow today's date 5 12 24 being without a phone for 2 weeks”
“My mum has been given the run-around by Eir since she signed up in May - some salesconman called to her house and guilted her into changing from Vodafone to an "Irish" company so she could suport the Irish economy - Eir is French owned (not that it matters). Now at the end of October she still has no Internet or TV despite ringing customer care and calling to the local Eir shop, repeatedly. Staff member called to her house, pretended to fix Internet, took payment and left (they disconnected her still-working Vodafone connection, connected her to the non-working Eir connection, which left her with no Internet) - she now realises that they were just scamming her, off the books (Gardai will be dealing with this - my Mum says she doesn't know if anything is missing from the house - she doesn't want to accept that she let a scumbag into her house). My mother is not a stupid person- but she is in her 70's and has stage 4 cancer so medication is effecting her ability to deal with this any more. Her house alarm and emergency-care alarm have been disabled as they are connected to the broadband, so her health and safety is also at risk. She is spending her final days being charged for a service she is not receiving(she has been paying both Vodafone and Eir since May) and being defrauded by shop staff. I called to the shop today to discuss with a manager - no manager on site untill next Wednesday - how can a business operate without management?Sales assistant admitted that this situation happens regularly and that the engineering company that Eir outsources to, is "a disgrace" - I am painfully aware of this.
No support/solution was offered-my mum was asked to call to the shop again tomorrow - she agreed - I didn't have the heart to keep complaining at this point (30 mins of asking for help).
Avoid this company, (they haven't been reputable for many years) unless you know how install, fix and maintain your own telecommunications.
No customer service to speak of - my mum has wasted hours of her life being lied to (nothing even documented on her file according to sales assistant).
I will deal with this through Comreg, solicitors and the guards but it's really not fair.. or legal.... or morally acceptable”
“Robbers stay away from them
Robbers stay away from them
They are providing FALSE INFORMATION JUST TO MAKE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT THEN THEY ONLY COMEBACK WITH “apology “”
“Please do not sign up with this company as all they do is stretching the bill and all the discounts (3 months free...) will be showing on your bill but the balance to pay is more than what you should pay monthly.
Because of the direct debit didn't go through they just charged me 18.45 plus twice late payment fees 18.45 x 2...
The contract is 2 years and the cancellation fee is 250!!!
They will scare you to put you to the black list... and take you to the court....
Avoid any offer from these scammers.”
“Avoid this company by all means unless you have nothing better to do than have constant problems. I switched to them after many years thinking that something has changed, but was very wrong. All year we had problems with broadband especially at night. When we finally ended the contract and switched providers they still continue to charge. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue of them charging me for service I didn’t use, finally they agreed to remove charges only to find out 2 weeks later that none of it was done and the person started denying that they said it. Please save your sanity and look somewhere else”
“1 Star is too many.....3 weeks my business line is down.....engineers never turn up my gigabyte connection fibre connection is no better than cable avoid Eir if you want to keep your sanity....I dont do bad reviews now they have forced my hand.....shocking.....1 star Google review next....”
“It is a terrible company in general. I was convinced to switch to eir for both mobile and broadband and have had nothing but a terrible experience since then. I keep getting charged extra for no reason and I cant do anything about it. This company will do the bare minimum and overall services are terrible compared to the competition. Locks you in with a contract and you can't leave without paying the full amount. Customer support is also terrible. They have no information on anything that is happening and just follow a script with the utmost basic issues. Stay away from this company if possible. I thought Vodafone was bad but after experiencing Eir, I am almost embarrassed for switching to this company. Vodafone was at least helpful when it came to issues (The very few issues that do occur compared to Eir) Do your research, there is a reason this company has horrible reviews!”
“Avoid eir like the plague. Worst service imaginable. They have lost my broadband box and trying to make me responsible. Paid €100, no box after nearly a month now and they've already billed me for next month. It's CRIMINAL.”
“My experience with Eir has been absolutely horrendous. I signed a contract for €55.98 per month, but within two months, my bills started skyrocketing without any valid explanation. Here’s a snapshot of the blatant rip-off:
• Sep 2023: €55.98
• Oct 2023: €55.98
• Nov 2023: €75.98
• Dec 2023: €75.98
• Jan 2024: €76.21
• Feb 2024: €94.43
• Apr 2024: €94.43
• May 2024: €83.23
• Jun 2024: €101.88
• Jul 2024: €101.43
I contacted their customer service team eight times, and each interaction was more infuriating than the last. Some representatives blatantly lied to my face, others made empty promises, and a few acknowledged the issue but couldn’t care less about resolving it. Each month, I was assured that the overcharging would stop, yet the bills only grew more outrageous.
This is my second and definitely my last contract with these scammers. Eir’s service is a complete and utter disgrace. They are incompetent, dishonest, and downright fraudulent. I strongly advise anyone considering Eir to run in the opposite direction. This company doesn’t deserve your money or your trust. Avoid Eir at all costs if you value your sanity and your wallet.”
