“Quality of garment is generally good - sizing could be a little more generous, particularly upper sleeve area.”

“I love the multi print sunray pleat skirt and can't wait to wear it. Problems with the chambray maxi skirt though. I have had 2 of these and both hems are crooked. I hope to have this resolved eventually.”

“Elvi use to be my main shop for my clothing, but recently they change there designer and this new designer are not as good and quality as the formal clothing from Elvis. Including the sizes measurements were wrong.”

After extensive market research and detailed analysis, we saw that there was a gap in the market for a younger demographic searching for comfortable yet stylish plus size clothing. Elvi has therefore re branded itself, targeting a demographic that ranges from 25-50. “Some items excellent some not so good. Poor photography on web site does not always show items as well as they could look. Website old fashioned”

“Found the website easy and convenient to use, but costly. The skirt I ordered was lovely, but was far too long, even wearing heels the skirt dragged a good inch on the floor so I had to return it. I would happily have used Elvi website again, but the fact that you charge delivery for returning an item has lost you my custom.”

“The quality of Elvi items is good. And customer service is excellent but sizing is an issue. 2 of the 3 things I've bought the sleeves are too narrow. I've had to size up x 2 to get arms/shoulder to fit resulting in body to big. Never had this issue with other brands”

“I ordered 3 items and was very pleased with 2; unfortunately the other item was very badly stained and so had to be returned. Returning items is easy though-I dropped it off at the local shops”

“Trousers I ordered were fine but I was very disappointed about the cheap synthetic feel of the top. Would appreciate more in the way of natural fibres, especially with summer approaching.”

“The skirt is a lightweight fabric ideal for warm days. The pleating is crisp. My only issue is the amazing length! I had to have it shortened by 9 inches to make it ankle length ! I am 5ft 8 inches high.”

“Not very impressed with the delivery arrangements. Much more convenient to be given an hour slot for delivery as some couriers do, than be told it will be delivered on a certain day - full stop ! Clothes purchased are great !”

“The multi-coloured oversized shirt is ok, but the red top is tight across the tummy. I am buying less and less from Elvi for two main reasons: 1) the quality is NOWHERE as good as it was years ago when I purchased new items of clothing nearly every week from the Glasgow Newton Mearns branch. And 2) all the clothes appear to be geared towards the young market/wearers of leisure clothes. While I do not want to look like an old fuddy-duddy, I also don't want to look like a spring chicken, either! Gone are the days I could rely on Elvi to keep my work wardrobe and socialising outfits frequently updated and positively commented on. It is with great regret... and sadness that The "Elvi Envy", as my friends used to call it, is no more.”

“I have bought quite a few items in your clearance. The problem is that the sizes seem wrong. I tried to call on a Sunday but no reply but it does not say that when you are trying to pay. I was given a discount code. I put it in but it said it was the wrong code? I like the returns scheme. That was easy!”

“Ordering and delivery of items were both timely and efficient. Unfortunately I had to return all the items as the arms were far too long......then that's when I became unhappy. As I live on the Isle of Man the cost of returning the items was £5.60 and this became down to me as there is no free courier service. I am not sure this is clear enough on Elvis website and so in total postage has cost me over £10. Feel unhappy about this and a bit aggrieved if I am being honest.”

“Clothes can be of an excellent quality and fit but it is a gamble as other times the sizings are all over the place. Their reductions are very good value. Need to sort their sizings out.”

“It is difficult to see what the clothes look like as they are not shown being worn by plus size models. Additionally the clothes I ordered fitted badly and it feels like they are clothes that have been designed for smaller worm and then badly 'sized up'. For example the chest fit but not the hips or the arm holes. Or it just hung with no shape. A real shame! Look at Taking Shape to see how to fit real women!”

“I bought a dress and jacket. The jacket was lovely, but the dress didn't anywhere. I Kept the jacket. It will go lots of things, but am waiting on the dress for a refund”

“The long skirt is lovely but... I don't like the weird fancy belt which looks impossible to remove... and it's slightly too long ... and worst of all it is dry clean only! A real shame - it could have been so nice!”
