Firstly the jackets smelled of fish, which must be the type of glue you use in production somehow. Secondly, I ordered two because I wasn't sure about the sizing, but it didn't matter because both had extraordinarily long sleeves and looked ridiculous. Finally, the finish looked cheap; the gold buttons were cheap-looking and tacky, not like the picture. I have already sent these back for a refund.

I found all items were too small and the material used was disappointing. The maroon jacket had been packed into a bag which was much too small and was therefore extremly creased.

The top looked very nice but on closer inspection the quality of the sewing was very poor and I've returned the item.

The jacket I ordered was delivered very quickly, however, I was very disappointed with the quality of it. First of all the colour "pink" was much paler than it appeared on the internet. Secondly, it was extremely creased when removed from the packaging. Thirdly, I felt the material was very poor and the garment did not hang properly on me and just didn't look right at all. I returned the garment the same day it was received.

I have been extremely disappointed by my shopping experience at Elvi and I would not order from you again. There was no problem with ordering, paying, or delivery, that problems started after that. The sizes of the clothes were quite unlike any other sizes with which I am familiar. I am a fairly standard Next, M&S and Evans size 18/20 and although I ordered bigger sizes than that. The clothes were neither fitting properly or flattering. The quality of the clothes was also disappointing. Having decided to keep nothing, I found out that because I live in a rural area which does not have convenient collection point where my returns would be free, I had to post the parcel back at a cost of £16.00. Before I did that, I tried several times to phone the customer services number provided on your website and got an unavailable message when it was answered. Ihave already told my friends not to be tempted to order from you as I fear that they will be as disappointed as I am. If your customer servie equates with the rest of your service, I am not hopeful of receiving an answer to this review although I would really like to discuss my experience with you. Marion Morris

In regards to our sizing, we receive few complaints of this nature so are disappointed and surprised to hear that you encountered an issue of this nature. We use Collect + to operate our free return service as it is an extensive network of over 5800 stores covering much of the UK and is of a reasonable travelling distance for the majority of our customers; unfortunately there will be a few exceptions to this, particularly in rural areas. Please note that our terms and conditions clearly state that the customer is liable to pay the costs of any returns incurred when using a courier service other than Collect +. Although we were unaware of it at the time, there seems to have been an issue with our phone line which we are looking into to ensure that it does not happen again. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the garments that I had previously ordered and returned they did not reflect the prices that were being charged sadly I do not plan to order anymore products due to my disappointment

Very disappointed and have returned both items. Trousers were ridiculously sized suggesting no real effort is put into ensuring standard size guides are in any way accurate. Top just seemed cheap and clingy

I am surprised that Elvi have asked for feedback, when I contacted them a week ago to ask where the items were. There should be a minus star for the 'service' they provide.

I have received my coat in a plastic bag and the coat is completely creased. The creases are so deep that I don't even think they'll go away when ironing. It's been 4 days now since I have contacted customer service and still no reply... I was told on Facebook that it could take up to 5 days to get a answer....

I was so excited about these pants! I've been looking for a pair with this cut, style and fabric for a long time. But I think the crotch was cut by someone who has never made clothes before! The waist fit around my body with no issue - but the crotch was WAY too short, and the waistline barely clears the top of my panties in the front. To make matters worse, I'm in the US, so returning them seems to be nearly impossible!! So sad! Your clothes are beautiful - I'm just not sure I'd try anything else based on these glaring fit issues.

I have dealt with this company for about 5 years. Until this latest shipment I was very happy with the products I received. However this latest shipment was abominable. The sewing was appalling with the tension on the hems not correct so there were loops of cotton everywhere. There must have been no quality control at all, it was very disappointing. I am in Australia and return postage from here is very expensive so I did not return it. The other item was also very badly cut and mismatched when sewn. The materials were also not of the quality I have come to expect from this label. I will not be shopping again with this company which saddens me as I relied on them for all my clothes purchases. I have been an Elvi customer since you opened your first shop in Glasgow 1980/90?. then inside John Lewis store, and back to Glasgow. My recent purchases were an extreme disappointment to me - labelled size 22 - I would question. I also found your return instructions totalling confusing, and have put both tops in the charity bag. Sorry I will not be buying from you again.

Website says delivery within 2-3 days but I've waited a week and you are still processing my order. I haven't received any correspondence advising me of any delays. I expect I'll be sending all if the items straight back as it doesn't look like they will arrive in time for the event I ordered them for. Very disappointed

I'm sorry to say how disappointed I was with the burgundy blouse that I had been so looking forward to receiving. I haven't bought anything from Elvi since they left their store in Edinburgh so thought I would give it a go. The blouse looked promising when I opened it and the fabric was lovely but my goodness, I couldn't get my arms down the sleeves. I asked a work colleague of the same size as me to try it on and she had the same problem. How to make someone feel bad about their body image, I felt like a freak. Thanks for the offer of 20% off my next order but I don't think I'll be back any time soon.

I placed an order for 2 items on 11th August and I am still waiting after a week for them to arrive. I am going on holiday in a few days time so I will not be in for the delivery or be able to pack the clothes to take away. As I have ordered the clothes for my holiday I might as well return them as I won't be able to use them until next summer. I was told, by e-mail on the 12th August , that the items were on the way and have stayed in expectantly for 4 days which is very frustrating and annoying when that is clearly not the case.

I found the teal tunic was not to my liking and I have returned it. It was a poor fit on the shoulder and looked a mess on me. I look forward to the refund. I have no complaint about the processing and dispatch of the order, which was very efficient. E.M. Tomlinson
