Beware of EpicVIN’s $1 Trial – Misleading and Unfair Charges I recently used EpicVIN to generate a detailed vehicle report. Initially, I opted for their US$1 trial offer for 3 days. However, on the second day, when I attempted to cancel the subscription, the system automatically charged me US$99 without confirmation. No OTP or confirmation were authenticated. I immediately cancelled and contacted their support, explaining that this was unintentional and requested a refund. I made it clear that I do not require ongoing reports and had no intention to continue with their service. Unfortunately, I received a generic response claiming that the charge could not be reversed and that once subscribed, I must continue with the service. Despite several back-and-forth emails, the customer service representative (Megan) stopped responding, and the matter was left unresolved. This experience has been disappointing and deceptive. I strongly advise others to avoid the $1 trial offer unless you are absolutely certain you will cancel well in advance. The process feels like a trap, and customer support appears to be unhelpful once they’ve charged you.

Beware you are signing up for a 99/mo subscription. Not that you can see that anywhere when you purchase the trial. I believe they are not following FTC laws Clear and conspicuous disclosures: Material terms, like the trial duration, conversion date, and cancellation process, must be easily understandable and readily accessible to the consumer. Disclosures shouldn't be buried in fine print or require extra clicks to view https://www.ftc.gov/legal-library/browse/statutes/restore-online-shoppers-confidence-act

It's totally fraud. They charge you 1$ for trial and after 3 days they charge you 49$ again without asking your permission. When you write their customer service they send you some screenshot where with very small letters written that you started to use trial and after 3 days we will charge you full amount 49$ per month. So if you want to keep your cards and money safe never use this service.

The seller is using a tricky way to charge clients for a paid subscription, I started by trial (1$) and he created a persistent session in the browser, and the next time if you request a report in the same browser, it automatically pass you to paid subscription without any authorization or agreement, I was surprised to be charged for 99,99 USD. I canceled the subscription and asked for a refund by email, but the seller refused

I had a terrible experience with the EpicVIN website. I paid for a vehicle history report, but the information they provided was incomplete, outdated, and in many areas totally wrong. When I tried to contact their support for help, they either ignored my messages or gave generic responses that didn’t solve anything. It felt like they just took my money without delivering what was promised. I strongly advise anyone thinking about using EpicVIN to be very careful — in my opinion, it's not a trustworthy service and a waste of money

If I could give it a -5 I would. Called 5 times to cancel. No one answered once, disconnected once, left 3 messages to cancel. Still billed us and refuse to refund. Seniors who weren't familiar with this stuff. All they want is your money and don't to be kind and help a 77 year old person!

I paid for just one vehicle report, and without my approval, EpicVIN used my card details to charge me for a full year subscription. At no point did I agree to this, and there was no clear warning or confirmation. This is highly unethical and feels like outright theft. Be very careful before entering your payment info – they’re not transparent at all. I do not recommend this service to anyone.

This is an absolute scam. You pay for 1 report and they convert it to a 99 dollar a month subscription. Run far away

Be Very Careful – Unclear Charges and Hidden Fees I initially signed up for a trial with EpicVIN and was unexpectedly charged $99.99 once it ended. Although this fee was mentioned in the fine print of the agreement, it was easy to miss—something many users might overlook. However, what’s even more concerning is that today, they attempted to charge me an additional $49.99—a charge that was never mentioned anywhere in the terms. This feels completely dishonest and deceptive. In my experience, this service operates in a way that borders on a scam. I strongly urge others to be cautious and monitor their payment methods closely if you've signed up.

I signed up for a $1 trial and canceled the same day, yet I was charged $99.99 twice. I used the service once and followed their cancellation process properly. Support offered a refund, then ignored my follow-ups and blocked me from live chat. I’ve filed a bank dispute and reported them to the BBB and FTC. Would not recommend.

I bought one VIN report for $1 and nothing more. A few days later I got a message that my Paypal account was charged $99.99 for a monthly subscription that I didn't want and don't intend to use in the future. I contacted EpicVin but instead of a refund to my account they gave me $99.99 in prepaid funds because there's nothing else they can do. That's nice of them but I don't know what to do with it because I don't intend to buy another car or start a business. That's why I'm giving it two stars. But also a bit strange because other customers have received their refunds. I also tried to use PayPal support but the case was resolved in favor of the seller. They didn't help. They also banned my EpicVin account for this reason. Be careful with their practices and don't make the same mistake.
