Might be suitable for a G license holder, not for truckers with many years of professional activity and clean record. Over all, your initiative is to be appreciated. Thks.

Good day, Andrei, The initiative to provide you with this program belongs to the group leader (Gurjit) that made the purchase. Defensive Driving course is usually paired both with OHS requirements and getting a cheaper insurance cost for the drivers. This review section is supposed to be about our company and the services we provide and not either the decision to receive this program or not, as we, eSafetyFirst, do not make that decision. With that being said, we will send you an invitation to ask to revise your content and score, otherwise we will have to remove the review as it is not about what our company does.

I find the questions were not particular important information to memorize like for example how many of each section there are, that is not going to help you in your work place, we should be memorizing more what each means and what hazards they are yo you.

Hello Lynda, Thank you very much for your feedback! The objective of the testing section is to make sure that the students are paying attention to the learning material so in many cases, the questions are not about something that is relevant to your workplace but what you may call "trick questions". Again, the objective of it is not to have a high score and pass with magna cum laude but to bring back to the learning section again, those individuals that have not been paying attention (either doing something else while listening or switching tabs or simply not considering this is important and just doing it for the employer's sake).

Ok, but should address some technical aspects of a chainsaw.

Didn’t realize the course only covered 1 year

The content was too in-depth. WHMIS or at least the older one gave you the info needed. For example I don’t care how many classes of flammable there is I just need to know where to look to see what I need to know. Don’t over complicate something that doesn’t need to be. I used to look after WHMIS when I was in the armed forces and I picked it up and figured it out in a matter of days. 90% or people don’t need to know the majority of the content from the course so maybe make it so that people understand the basics and know where to find the rest.

Hello Samuel, The WHMIS course has a standard of training and in that guideline, there are certain requirements for what this course should contain. While there can be differences in how safety training companies approach a certain subject, ultimately, most of this information should be present in a WHMIS course. Companies can develop their own in-house training and obviously, that would be more relevant to the day-to-day operation than the general WHMIS course under the OHS Act. Unfortunately, we as a private company, need to develop courses that cater to all types of companies and not just to a specific one.

Multiple spelling mistakes in the slides, which lacks professionalism.

Overall, the information presented was valuable, however, the mechanical narrator voice was distracting - mispronouncing words, poor cadence etc. There was at least one glaring spelling error on the slides.

I have a learning disability and I had to get my mom to help me with the whole thing. She even found it hard to understand. There should be a course made a little easier to understand for those of us with difficulties.

Hello Bev, Thank you very much for revising your initial review and for explaining why you found our WHMIS course to be difficult. Our approach to training is to reinforce the information using different means of communication meaning we use text, voiceover and compatibility between any device with an internet connection. On top of that, we have options to interact with the content so you can use the menu to navigate between slides, pause, resume, save progress or even mute the voiceover if you would like to focus just on the text. Considering your feedback, it seems that this might not have been the best approach so I will discuss this issue with our content department and see what we can do to improve this aspect.

Overall the course was good, very informative and a good pace. The only thing I did not like about the defensive driving course is it was not gender neutral, it specifically used “he”, “him” and “his” when referring to specific things. For example, when discussing a mechanic going over a vehicle it said “he could provide...” instead of saying they or them.

Good content. Would like to see something more comprehensive about how to handle a difficult situation where someone might be over the edge

Hello Danilo, We absolutely agree with your feedback and we are working on bringing our own design template so we don't have to rely on the default Adobe templates that do not offer a lot of room for customization. This is an issue that will be addressed within the next couple of weeks so feel free to go back into your account, after that period of time, to redownload a copy of your certificate. Meanwhile, if you wish to opt for the plastic wallet card, on that card, which we send out in physical format, there is a place for a signature panel and the trainer signature.

Quick and pretty cheap content Hopefully clients accept for Prejob requirements. I am a fusion tech so I cut plastic pipe HDPE with chainsaw. Always horizontal . More dense than wood so it’s way harder on saw. Stretches chain fast, dulls faster, u need a big saw 60cc for big thick pipe. Always pinching hazards. I’ve worked at this trade for 11yrs and never had ticket. My bosses are glad it was only 60$ course.

While I enjoyed the training (Workplace Mental Health Awareness Mod. I&II,) I believe there is a serious error contained within. The initial slides on manic episodes change word use mid-stream from "manic" to "maniac." This is in both the written content and voice-over. Considering this is a Mental Health awareness training, aimed at destigmatization, that is a glaring oversight.

Hello Andrew, Thank you very much for pointing that out! We will have someone fix that ASAP. I believe it was an autocorrect issue but nonetheless, it needs to get fixed.

Would have preferred a less robotic sounding voice.

Test and review material were ok but I don’t see the reason for doing this because no one actually shows any one the chainsaw.

Hello Steve, Can you please let us know what the reason is for the negative review? I could not comprehend that from your post.

Hello Shaun, My assumption is that someone has informed you incorrectly about your FP Training so if you need any assistance, feel free to reach us via email or phone support and we will assist you. FP can be done online in Alberta but yes, wallet cards do not have a transferable status between companies that's why you should order the wallet card only once you are employed.
