Have Claim pending were supposed to organise a courtesy car for me and have mine collected still waiting for the phone call! Also please send me details for me to claim my excess back once this is sorted

I did put in a claim however I was advised to pay for an electrician to come out to check the sockets where the water had poured through. I then learnt that there was a £400 excess on water damage. My fault for not reading really. They then sent out surveyors, not employed by Esure, who were not the best surveyors I've encountered and I work with them in my job. I was spoken to in a patronising manner, and dismissed. When a problem was pointed out I was told that I wouldn't have noticed as it was behind a picture, when the problem they were pointing out was above and behind the picture, which is directly in front of the stairs. I was told (perhaps in an effort to help me make a decision not to pursue the claim) that after the excess, I might have enough left over for some paint and brushes. This was after they said the whole hall needed decorating. I've had an issue previously with this and always paid to get it repaired, but this was different and the pipe below the tap had burst causing damage. They told me it was caused by a sealant leak, but if I felt it was different I should get a plumber to write up a report about it. I was polite, but felt patronised through the process. I withdrew my claim as they stressed me out that much I was ill. After the stress of water pouring through sockets and down the wall into my hallway I did not need further stress from the 2 surveyors representing Esure. I did not want to have to deal with them or Esure again. The customer service itself was fine, but their representatives on the ground let the side down.

I found the issue that esure put on claims that if a customer wished to use their own repairer they are penalised with an extra £200 rather than use esure’s own repairer. This seems unprofessional, unnecessary and unfair. Other than that they were fine.

Documents on line they did not send them Plus needed to take my daughter off policy as no longer uses the car as she has her own and dies not live with me and they said my insurance would go up . Stubbornly not helpful on the phone

Purchased two policies at the same time only managed to get excess cover for one could not work out you system and got no response when question on line??

Been with Esure some years. Got renewal from Esure. Phoned to ask if they could offer me a better deal. Didn’t get very far. Went on gocompare chose same policy with same cover with Esure and saved £70. Esure phoned to ask Why I had cancelled my policy with them. Told them I had better offer. They could not match it!

Average price however their customer service has been polite, respectfully and relatively efficient. I've just taken a second policy out with them. I haven't however been in a collision and required their actual purpose but the purchase was pleasant.

Terrible company. They put me on cover and then immediately said they didn't believe that I lived where I said I lived despite the V5 showing the car at that location. I even sent them a photo of the car parked outside my house. They kept threatening to cancel. I won't be renewing with them.

Motor insurance is required by law. You hope not to have to use it and it is only when you do make a claim will you know if it was any good. Documentation is also governed by law so there is not much to choose between them.

I just can't understand why I get charged to cancel a policy when all I did was change my car The policy should have gone down because its a smaller car not up, I'm certainly not impressed with ensure.

I was disappointed when I needed to put my son, who has his own car and insurance on my insurance as we were using my car over Christmas, with the amount they charged it seemed heavily weighted. I was however pleased with the initiative to give a small refund during the lockdown period.

I do not like the way I have to pay the excess money up front on a repair and then they tell you how to claim it back on a not your fault claim.
