DO NOT, I REPEAT- DO NOT GO WITH THEM!!! I was Esure customer for 2 years. On 8th July 2018 my car was parked on a road while i was shopping and a drunk driver crushed/stopped in my car. Thankfully I was not in the car when this happened. It's been 5 and a half months since the accident and Esure hasn't closed the case yet because they haven't received money from the drunk driver's insurance! My insurance has to be renewed on 26.11.18- 4 days from today and i have signed up with a new insurance company. The new insurance company will charge me ridiculous amount on top of the original quote they gave me because according to the main insurance database i am at fault! I contacted Esure numerous times asking them to close the case because this is affecting me and i have to pay a lot more than what i am supposed to but they said they cant speed up the process and they will close the claim once they receive their money for the claim. I offered Esure to pay the extra cost to the new insurer but they refused! LET ME MENTION ONE MORE TIME THAT I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO FAULT FOR THE ACCIDENT AND I HAVE BEEN THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 2 FULL YEARS! I will be taking this further- ombudsman and then court. I will not pay for someone else's mistakes and laziness! I have experienced a few nervous breakdowns while talking to them on the phone and i will make sure this is paid for! I will not sacrifice my health anymore for something i have 0 fault for and for organization which clearly don't care about their customers and most of their employees are too lazy to do their job properly. They love telling their customers they wouldn't be able to help! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SOMETHING THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! Horrible and dishonest! I am speechless!

Exceptionally poor communication, never stick to their timelines, no consideration for the facts. Their senior management team should be ashamed. I will be taking this organisation to the Ombudsman, an absolute joke!

A customer of Esure collided with my sons car on a roundabout and admitted fault. Esure gave him a hire car and arranged for repairs through their 'chosen' garage. 39 days later we have still not got the car back! Could have built a car in this time!! I have been told weekly from the garage that it will be ready tomorrow......., next week........, and so on, still not got his car! Complained to Esure several times they dont seem to care! Oh and who will lose out in all this? My son as his premiums are guaranteed to rise because of Esure's customer he will be heavily penalised as a young driver even though it was not his fault!! Obviously wont be asking Esure for a quote for any of our family cars as i have witnessed first hand how they are not interested in innocent careful drivers!!!

I got hit by someone they insure. And am not working as of the injury i got. They seem to think bills them self. I have 2 child in day nursery and food to provide. £88.45 ssp doesn't cover my food bill . As I am not working. It took me 4 years to save for a morgage and hole 12 weeks to take every think I've worked so hard for off me for some car hit me. I am in the wrong for someone else mistake. When you ring to explain they say go threw solicitors which I have . Am just try to chase things up before I get into more debt. I don't have family to rely on like most people.

Terrible company, my car has been sat at a repair garage for 4 weeks so far waiting for esure to authorise the repairs. Customer service is shocking ,keep stalling , they have no clue what they are doing , complaints are ignored. Absolutely useless! Avoid !

They say you can’t really rate an insurance company until you make a claim and isn’t that the truth! The customer service at Esure is non existent, the staff are clueless and the entire claims process is negligent. My car was written off a year ago and they still haven’t assigned fault & have repeatedly failed to respond to my formal complaints (that’s complaints not complaint, as during the past 12 months there have been multiple). I can honestly say there’s not another company that have caused me so much anxiety, stress and tears. They are ruthless, unscrupulous and in my opinion should be banned from trading.

They have the worst customer support I have ever experienced, they want you to make changes and cancel things online but this just says you can't do it. Then you call them wait over 30 minutes speak to someone who then says you need to speak to a different person then after another 20 minutes it cuts you off I went round in circles doing this for almost 4 hours. Then I used the online chat waited over 30 minutes again to be asked irrelevant personal questions before finally they canceled my policy. Then today I find nothing has happened I'm now going through all this again its absolutely ridiculous it takes no time at all to take out insurance with then but it seems they'll do anything to stop you getting through to cancel. Do yourselves a favor and stay well clear of this company.

Upon receiving the first of many emails from Esure advising me my policy was up for renewal, I logged into my Esure account only to find that you make it impossible for anybody to cancel their renewal. Firstly, I never signed up for auto-renewal, and it's clear you do not provide this as an option. Appalling business practice in itself. Secondly, you suggest using the live chat to stop your policy renewing. Upon clicking the link and going through several hoops with your live chat, it (live chat) told me it could not help with amending renewals and that I must call you to tell Esure to where to go. I actually attempted once, only to be told your phone lines were so busy that you could not take any further calls, and I must call again later. I THINK NOT! The only option you left me with was to cancel my Direct Debit at the end of my 12-month policy term, which I did. If you think you're going to secure a renewal from me under these appalling practices, you're sorely mistaken.

Spent hours and still can not get through to the total loss team, Not happy its discussing service and underhanded sneaky hidden policy details. and to charge £856.99 on top of £650 excess after a none fault accident because my mileage was slightly over what I guessed. It was parked up at when it was hit!! And because of this you don't get a curtesy car until it actually goes in for repair, possibly weeks later. AVOID and pay i bit more if you have to.

Please read this before choosing this horrendous, unprofessional and careless car insurance company. Recently we had a car drive into the back of our car at a stop sign writing off my car and causing us injuries, non-fault accident. At the scene of the accident I took photos and phone esure claims department. The lady I spoke to sounded like she had just woken up, couldn’t be bothered to be on the phone and I was a burden to her. I was panicked, worried and didn’t know what to do whilst I was checking in with my partner who was being seen by the ambulance service as he also has a underlying health condition (12 lots of brain surgeries so far) the lady on the phone kept saying I can’t hear you, I explained I’m on the side of a busy road, trying to sort out the issue. I had to send pictures of my car via a text sent to me at the side of the road before they could recover the vehicle and prove it couldn’t be driven! The least of my worries, but I did it as that’s what I was told to. She advised that RAC would take us and the vehicle back to my home address 35 miles away as it was also a business vehicle with all our belongings in. I get a phone call from a local recovery company (RAC subcontracted) to explain they are collecting the car to drop to their depot. I explain it should be taken to my home address with us, where she confirmed it was not allowed and her license was at risk. 3 phone calls at the side of the road to esure I explain this (1.5hrs) on the phone to be told they are sorting it and etc! Still no news bearing in mind the accident happened at 10:15am and we were still at the side of the road with injuries at 2:30pm we still got nowhere I decided to speak to a team leader. I explained what I was told and even explained that the claims lady had to ask a team leader weather the car could be taken with us home and was told YES! The team leader explained this was not said (she has since listen to the call and confirmed it was told to me!) to be told that we had to get a taxi back home 35 miles with our injuries and no sympathy what so ever especially this wasn’t a fault accident and the third party’s! To top this off I was told I had a £250 excess, until I questioned this wasn’t my fault to be told oh yes no access to pay! I’ve lost absolutely all confidence in this Company that I’m now dealing with the other parties insurance company as they have been so helpful, raised a formal complaint which is still with them but will go onto the ombudsman service as we were treated with no empathy, care or fairly for a accident not at our fault as especially with my injured partner who has medical issues to be left at the side of the road for 4 hours to be told get a taxi home! Esure made a already very traumatic, stressful situation even more stressful and I came away feeling hurt, that they were not there for us and did absolutely nothing to help us as a paying Esure car insurance customer with a non-fault accident. God forbid if it was a fault accident how would they treated us then! I have asked for all notes, phone calls and etc relating to this accident to be sent to me under the subject access request so I can take this further and stop this from happening to anyone else. The road we had the accident on was a busy 60mph road and we had to make our way to a small village to get help and get someone to get us to take us home. To top it off I had to then get to the depot our crashed car was at to offload everything from this with my injuries as they didn’t do what they promised! Cheers Esure you truly are a shambles of a company who leaves there customers at the road side with no help and a array of stressful phone calls and lies!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY PLEASE! YOU WILL BE TAKEN AS A COMPLETE MUG AND LAUGHED AT ALL THE WAY! THIS IS JUST THE START TO MY LEGAL BATTLE WITH THESE INCONSIDERATE COMPANY AND MY POLICY WILL BE CANCELLED ONCE THIS CLAIM HAS BEEN SETTLED! YOU’ VE BEEN WARNED! ** ESURE CUSTOMER SERVICE DON’T FEED ME WITH SO SORRY COMMENTS OR ANYTHING SIMILAR ON YOUR REPLY AS YOU HAVE MY COMPLAINT CURRENTLY AND I WILL NOT BE FOBBED OFF OR ALLOW YOU TO DO THIS TO OTHERS **

Avoid this car insurance provider at all costs! Reported an accident where I was not at fault. Car was written off as CAT B no longer road worthy. E-sure heavily underestimated the value of the car. Did not keep me informed of the status of the claim. Did not send the full payout as promised in the final evaluation. Refused to refund the remaining months of my insurance even after they suspended it and I no longer have access to the vehicle. Absolute car crash of a service!

My car broke down and I had to get it repaired it was going to take a long time, I picked the “courtesy car” option and I have proof on my policy only to be told that I’m not entitled to it, I had a child in the car and I had to walk miles and miles back home embarrassed and feeling really betrayed by the very company that I put my trust in.

Called 27th June - Hanging on the phone for over 35mins and still no answer. Other insurance companies can answer the phone during CV10 within mins so no excuse. Regretting being a valued customer - avoid !

I called Esure to speak to them about cancelling a car insurance policy. There is no one to speak to due to COVID and once they read out the message, the phone gets cut off. There is no way of communicating with them. This morning I managed to get on to the online Chat function and at 11:40am I was caller number 356 in the queue. At 2:25, the Esure system was telling me i was caller number 1 in the queue and this is what the system has been displaying for the last half an hour. Finally Esure cut me off. How does one get in touch with this company to get any info? It is a disgrace if one has to wait until the COVID issue is up. This is another way of this company ripping people off and not giving access to deal with the complaints of customers.

Shockingly poor service, after our son was involved in a very minor impact esure weren't interest and rolled over pleasing the blame on our son and not discussing the incident. Rude staff and very poor service. Dont really care attitude. STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!

I am currently going through an insurance claim with them at the moment (they are my insurer) had to wait 6 days for a courtesy car which is not helpful when i need to get to work!! have a dashcam with video evidence of the accident and have now been told the party at fault are disputing the accident (they don't know about the video evidence) which when I told a representative of esure I had this evidence they asked if I was an expert on speed!! sorry I am your customer you are to represent me, cut the rude attitude and get on with the job i pay you alot of money for. Will never use again wouldn't recommend

Avoid them like the plague!! I have been driving since I was 17 and now I’m 43, with a clean history of driving (no accidents) In June 2018 I was involved in a car accident where I was stationary whilst waiting to turn right. A driver hit me in the back of my car and my car was written off. The third party took responsibility, so you would assume this would be clear cut. My car insurance was up for renewal within a few weeks of the accident and we needed to buy a car in a rush because I have elderly parents that I care for and we always go on a driving holiday. Esure firstly messed us around by not giving us a replacement vehicle for 10 days, they were quite rude to deal with except for one member of staff. As renewal was coming up I called them for a quote and they ‘PROMISED’ that once they had received their money back from the other insurance company they would re-evaluate our current price and refund the difference. Bearing in ind I’ve been with them for quite a few years and I have 12 years NCB. my usual annual price is £550, I paid them £1600 or so with the expectation that they were going to re-evaluate as they said. One year later once they finally get their money back we are given £150 refund. Shocked can not describe my feelings around this, considering that over the course of the year and many phone calls they reassured me that they would refund me the difference. Long story short don’t trust them! They will make money off of your unfortunate circumstance. Apparently once you are involved in an accident you are statistically likely to have another accident, I still don’t understand why I would be punished for an accident that wasn’t my fault and how comes my new insurance is once again £550? Esure are the losers because now they’ve lost a good customer. Final comment what’s the point of paying NCB if my premium has changed because of an accident that wasn’t my FAULT! All I can say is stay away from them! Cheap, but definitely not cheerful!

Made me feel really bad about a no fault claim, like it was my fault. They sent my car to the worst garage ever with the worst reviews. My car had a genuine manufacture wing mirror on which got smashed in crash, the garage fitted a cheap aftermarket one that didnt even fit. Car came back two tone colour after a respray of damaged areas bumper was quarter sprayed instead of fully done so showed up like a sore thumb. interior door panel was hanging off, car was full of dust from powder coating. Then a engineer from esure tried to tell me the damage to tailgate wasnt caused by crash it was. customer service were shocking they just didnt care. It was as though they were the opposition. I am there customer and they made me feel I wasnt important. I will not be renewing with esure and hope nobody else has a terrible experience like me. Pay the extra and get a proper insurance company to look after like you deserve.
