“A small company with an authoritative presence. They do exactly what they say and they do it with expertise. I've imagines of a kind of Willy Wonka workshop. What goes on at the other end of my courier service? Is it a technical steel and glass assembly line, or brick and wood; one giant room of sorting tables and electronics or specialized rooms, or are they in an ugly and outdated rental office space with old carpeting and faded windows, diligently laboring? Whatever it is, the attention and feedback for completing a transfer of films originally shot on a Super 8, stored on VHS, and now available to me in a digital editable file on my laptop, is superb.”
“Most of these shops are mom-and-pop operations without the professionalism. Everpresent is professionalism personified. The nice thing is that, despite that professionalism and expertise, their prices are better than anywhere I know.”
“SOOOO happy I decided to get my old VHS tapes converted to digital files! I feel like I saved all my childhood memories by doing this. Everpresent was great throughout the process and the price was fair. The quality was great and everything was smooth. Highly recommend!”
“I'm very happy with the service and final product. They were great about communicating the status of my project and made sure it was done by my deadline.”
“I very pleased with the project and how Ever Present put my very old Kodak film together and digitized. These memories will last on in my family for many many years. Thanks Ever Present fine job.”
“My mother is 90 years old as of 2021. Watching her see and recount the first 33 years of her life was priceless. This also allowed important family history facts to be recovered before my Mom someday passes away.
Thanks, Bill Skinner”
“While the idea of Ever Present was an intriguing concept, the execution was not so good. The rep who helped me sounded sleepy and completely apathetic about his job — and my project. Not a great way to get a first contact.
The communication throughout the project was boilerplate, sporadic and a little underwhelming. The final scanned images were OK, but details were missed (like my request that they crop out the old white print edges/frames).
Finally, the website that they give you for 6 months was incredibly slow, pretty dated and clunky. I just downloaded everything off the thumb drive right away and uploaded them to Drop Box so that I could send them to family members.
Overall, it was just OK. I certainly didn't get any of that "family" feeling they talk about so much, nor did I feel like anyone really cared much about my project. And that's a shame, because it could have been so much better.”
