Hi Scott, thanks for your message. At EverPresent we pride ourselves on delivering quality results and scan photos at a high resolution of 600 dpi. We reviewed your online archive and could not identify any crooked photos. A member of our Client Services will reach out to you shortly to see if we can better serve you with this matter. “I was impressed by the interchange with the Everpresent people, especially Jamie. All seemed well until the films that I had sent were returned to me. The first problem was that the USB memory stick was not in fat32 format. This, I admit, was my problem. My TV happens to require this and I did not inform you of that. The second and more serious problem is after copying the files to a fat32 USB memory stick, when attempting to view the files, two error messages show up on my TV: "Unsupported audio format" and "Unsupported video format." I sent a request to Jamie indicating this problem and asked for help in identifying the proper formats but have heard nothing back.”
“Cost was high and the required form was over-complicates for the scanning of just a few (12) photos. The formal / long form makes sense for a large project, but there should be a faster way for simple/straightforward projects. Time to complete the project was long, and I had to call twice to get updates on project status. I had missed an update in my mail(as it went to junk mail) and my first call went unreturned for a week. The explanation for not returning the call was essentially: “Didn’t you get our mail?” Better customer service would be to return the call even if the mail was sent.”
“I received my project in the specified time. One of the files I have not been able to save on my own flash drives. They did try to split the file for me as it was large and it still was not accessible. I really was not happy with the customer service I received for my issues so I gave up! :(”
Thanks for following up and we are sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with this file. We checked on our end, and are able to download all files. You also have full access on the USB drive that we supplied to you.
. Question: All of the other files you had no issue transferring? I ask because file #1 is larger than any of the 3 splits for file 3. So if that file # 1 is downloading fine, and the smaller files for file #3 transferring isn't happening still, that seems very odd.
Does the computer that you are using have enough space on it to hold more files? A USB to computer direct connection shouldn't be a problem size-wise.
Please let us know if there is another computer or device that you try the files on?
Please reach out to info@everpresent.com and we can still help you resolve this issue.

“I had a disk from 2003 that I was trying to retrieve pictures from. I could see most of them, but the computer I was using didn’t have a drive, and the combination of an older laptop and an external drive was making for slow going. Upon submitting it to EverPresent, I was told there was nothing on the disk. Upon receiving the disk back, I could still see and access the photos, albeit slowly. It seems that a company in this business would have been able to at least do what I was able to myself.”
Hi Carol,
Thanks for your email, It looks like you are lucky to have a much older MacBook that can still read the discs! We transfer many DVDs/CDS and gave this one our best shot. As this particular one was unsuccessful , we did not charge you for this transfer . We hope to work with you again on another project! Have a great day! The EverPresent Team
Hi Douglas
Thanks for your feedback. We strive to deliver excellent service and to preserve family memories for ease of sharing. It looks EverPresent was not the right fit for your specific professional project requirements. A manager responded right away and offered you a refund for the inconvenience. We hope to work with you again when you have any personal family projects. Have a great day!
“I was a little disappointed when nothing was salvaged from the tape I submitted. I was led to believe that there was something retrieved, however minute. I asked for a partial refund and was denied. I have to give a 2 rating because of this. It would have been a five had a refund been considered.”
“I had to use Everpresent to convert my sound film movies, since Legacy Box/Southtree could not convert the sound. Quality was as good as expected, but price was really high! $.40/foot. I also had one reel where the sound was bad. I think they shouldn't have converted that one.”
“I would not use Everpresent again or recommend the service. It was very challenging to get someone on the phone to discuss the project. It was very expensive for what you get. I cannot easily download the files from the cloud.”
Hi Leslie, Thanks for choosing EverPresent to digitize your precious family memories. The project was very large and consisted of thousands of slides that were flawlessly scanned, all performed on a professional scanner. Each scan was cleaned and retouched professionally. EverPresent did the work as requested, and on time, and for the price range originally estimated. We also uploaded files to USB drive - where you can have direct access to your newly organized archive right away without having to download the images. EverPresent support team also responded right away to resend you a link to the website to help you troubleshoot the cloud site. If there is any more further support we can provide - please reach out to info@everpresent.com. Thanks for choosing EverPresent.
Hi Anthony,
Thanks for your message and we are sorry that you were having trouble reaching us. The good news is that your photos are safe and backed up on your USB and that is working properly. We do have a support page for these types of requests and we have reset the link for you and you now have online access. Enjoy your new memories and we look forward to working with you again!
“The digital transfer of my 16mm film showed significant dirt...especially at the beginning and the end of the transfer. This means the film was not professionally cleaned before transfer.....unforgivaeable. They also had to redo the transfer because the audio track was not included although I was charged fo it. For the $400 plus dollars I was charged the job rendered was unsatisfactory.”
“The final quality of the product was fine. However, it was virtually impossible to get information about the status as they did the job. Numerous phone calls, no responses other than canned e-mails.”
“Brought VHS tapes of a band to be digitized. Had to be redone because audio and video did not match. Had to travel 90 minutes round-trip to pick up second attempt after I called looking for it. Nobody notified me that they were ready and at the pick up spot. I would’ve preferred that they mailed them to me because it was their mistake. Also the titles had mistakes.
After picking them up and reviewing them, they fixed the original problem but the titles were Still incorrect.. also one of the DVDs had two segments with titles. They had the wrong segment attached to the wrong title. Had to have them redone again and I insisted they mailed them to me which they did.
When calling them with these problems, you get a voicemail. After leaving the voicemail, apparently they corrected or attempted to correct problems but never notified me when they were done. Their lack of communication is very unprofessional and their failure to review their work is lazy. I would not recommend this company to anyone.”
Hello Christine,
Thanks your feedback and my apologies that your experience was not as smooth as it should have been. We stand by the quality of work, and if we do make mistakes, we always try to fix them right away. It sounds like we could have done better here and as a manager, I will reply to you privately to see if I can personally help you or if you want to provide any additional details that I can help resolve. - Jody Sr Consultant, EverPresent
Hi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out regarding the turnaround time for your project. When we received your project we were well underway from catching up from the backlog of projects we received when operations were limited due to government safety mandates this spring. It was difficult to provide exact timelines for projects then. Thanks for your understanding and your business, we really appreciate it. - EverPresent
“Pricing is good but you get what you pay for. Very poor communication. No live person to talk to, emails not answered. No communication. Long wait for my project to be delivered. They have different companies for different levels of service which I found a little sketchy. They didn't follow my instructions on labeling on my second order. I have more 8mm movie to be transferred by not sure I will use them again.”
Hi Philip,
Thanks for your note and sorry to hear about the labeling on your most recent order. I will reach out to you privately to see how I can personally fix this for you. We would love the opportunity to work with you again on your 8mm movies. - Jody, Senior Consultant, EverPresent
“They did a very poor job of taking reel to reel audio tapes , listening to them and copying them onto USB for me.
One of the sound tapes was slower sound audio, so that should have been adjusted for when copying them for a customer ! No one called me while this was happening Poor QA on their work. Also, they never answer the phone and very hard to get in touch with them. I had used them before, and was pleased, but I spent a lot of money on getting these reel to reel tapes converted, and it was extremely disappointing. Hopefully, I will find another company that communicates better, and also QA their work.”
“Hello
I had requested 4 VCR tapes be converted to digital. Two of the tapes were of the same event. Of course I knew they were the same event, but I wanted them both converted to digital because they were good quality-wise in different places, Without checking first, Everpresent only converted only one of the duplicates (so only 3 rathern than all 4 tapes). Further, the DVD version of one the three fails midway through. I emailed EverPresent several times to get a replacement of that DVD (copies of emails available) and never got a reponse. Yes, I know they're available digitally online as well but I wanted the DVD as a simple hardcopy backup.
So on the technical front, Everpresent was good. On the decision-making and responsiveness to customer requests, poor.
Happy to discuss further if you're interested.”
Thanks for your feedback. When digitizing family videos we are always running into duplicate tapes and flag them intentionally during our internal process as not to give people back duplicate footage of the same tape. Most clients find this extra step very useful as they are happy to not have duplicate files. I can see how in this instance it may be different and I am happy to reach out and see how we can fix it. Thank you, EverPresent
“I brought my old movie tapes in to be made into CDs in November, with a promise of completion by December 23. One in particular was very important to me and was to be a Christmas gift to several family members. When I wasn't contacted by December 23, I called on the morning of December 24 and received the message that the office was closed. Someone finally contacted me from another state and said that if I paid my balance, she could send me the digital files right away until the CDs could be produced. I paid the money over the phone but did not receive the digital files until a week after Christmas. When I opened the one that was meant to be a gift, it was only partially there. When I returned to EverPresent in Newton to pick up my CDs, I asked why and was told there was a "crink" in the tape and it could not be copied, which was not true because I was able to watch the whole tape in your office as we consulted. I was told to leave my tape and it would be attempted again. I lost sleep over having left it and not just taking it back, as I wasn't sure I'd ever see it again. Finally I received a call saying my CD was ready to be picked up at your Burlington location. When I went there, they had no clue what I was talking about. I then went to Newton and was told there was a "mixup" and the CD was really in Newton. FINALLY I received the five CDs of the one very important movie tape and was able to give it as a late Christmas gift.
Sadly, I won't be continuing to use your services, even though I was originally so excited that I had finally found a place I could trust with the hundreds of tapes I still need to convert. Maybe this is not typical of your service, but I found the whole experience more stressful than helpful! I believe I should have been refunded my money for what I was put through!”
Hello and thank you for your email. We are very sorry to hear about the customer service that you experienced in your last project. This is very unusual and at EverPresent and we strive ourselves on our customer experience. My name is Jody and as one of the managers I am reaching out to you privately to see if we can help you with a new project to make sure this won't happen again!
