“They were very professional and made process of getting materials to them easy- my only concern was the audio reel to reel I brought them was put on a thumb drive and you can not hear a thing. I figured if they couldn’t get even a low quality recording they would have told me and just returned it to me and not charged me for something I can’t hear.”
Hi Christina,
Thanks for your note, it sounds like something might be wrong with the device that you are listening on. We will reach out to try and help correct the audio level issue.

Hello Christina,
When transferring old media, the digitizing only comes out as good as the original material. You did receive a Quality Letter with your order that mentions that the original old reel to reel recording was of very low quality. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to preview or screen content - we do have to do the work to hear the results. We are glad that your other film reels came out well!
We look forward to helping you out again with any other projects.

“I was extremely disappointed with how long it took for
Everpresent to finish my project. The pitch was that my slides would be picked up within the week, and returned the following week. Instead, it took nearly two months, and many many weeks after I had been charged for the full amount. I would not recommend the service to anyone.”
Hello Andrea,
Thanks for your email, this level of service is not what you should expect. We strive for excellent communication and make every attempt for projects to return in a timely manner at EverPresent. We are very sorry to hear this and will be reaching out to you directly.

“For audio transfer of reel to reel tapes to digital format they were not great.
They don't seem to listen as they go so if something starts at one speed and later in the tape it is at another speed they don't catch it. Had to have tapes redone and they still weren't right. I gave up. I wish they would let you sit down with the tech so you can really explain to the person doing the transfer.”
“The 65 year old 35 mm film I gave the company to digitize was, they explained, mold damaged. That was certainly beyond their control. But they digitized much of the film anyway, producing a drive which was 80% incomprehensible imagery. I had to scroll through junk to find the little that could be salvaged. Why didn't someone edit out the useless imagery?”
“I understand the evaluation of the 78 record, but was very disappointed in the outcome. I sent it to a friend who has a music studio and he got a better result.”
“I’m feeling that the person who did my order was overwhelmed because of the Holiday season. The tapes were labeled and I thought pretty easy to put together. There is a section on the disc that is just black and muffled noises.(Camera on with lens cap on.) That should have been picked up in final inspection of the disc and removed. What I paid for this, I’m very disappointed. I just can’t recommend this company to my friends and family.”
“It is very hard to change between videos. You can hardly see which one is highlighted. My elderly mother can’t even watch them because of this. I have a hard time myself. Disappointed”
Thanks for your feedback Maurine and we are very sorry to hear that you are not pleased with your project. We did try to reach out after your project was completed in January to ensure client satisfaction, but you were not available and we left a voicemail. It sounds like perhaps there are some technical issues we could help sort out so you and your mother are able to view the files more easily. Please expect a call in the next 24 hours so we can help identify the quality issue.
“I have done at least five projects starting with Play it again when in the electronic industrial yard until last November at Everpresent. Four were great , last one I ended up withdrawing from Everpresent. Check with your Newton staff for the reason why. I ended up with a snap drive which provided five files all of which appear to be the same.”
“My review would not be a good one. I was first quoted one price, shipped the material that they said I would have back in time for Christmas, needless to say The price I was quoted and the price I paid was almost doubled. I did not get the items for Christmas rather February. They did not make any suggestions as in regards to music to personalize it.”
“I wish that, before 2 cd’s and one thumb drive were recorded, that someone would have called me to tell me how poor the quality of what was on my cassette
I paid $70.00 and NOTHING is worth listening to”
William, thank your for your note. We were disappointed with this recording as well. With your order, we included a Quality Letter letting you know that about these issues. Unfortunately the original audio recording was quite poor - and was then compounded by level-five deterioration. To get what we got out of this footage took a significant effort by our team, including complimentary digital restoration to get even the faint recording we managed. We are very sorry that you were disappointed, but please know that in these situations we do everything possible to recover the footage, and always include the Quality Letter so you know what to expect when you get home with your digital items. We thank you for your business and assure you that we did everything possible for these recordings.
“I had a very frustrating experience. I submitted photos for a montage, and gave my approval for a first draft, well in advance of my needing the montage. They never got back to me so I finally called and they said "oops!" Then they sent me an unacceptable first draft (which, when I pointed out the errors, they agreed was not OK)- they sent a second draft and I had a few edits and they said they would charge me because I hadn't made those changes on the first draft. That was because they made the changes I wanted to edit AFTER the first draft. In the end, they agreed not to charge me, but the whole experience was unpleasant.”
“I have had trouble with accessing the music from the get-go. My password works on occasion and the download has never worked. It has been pretty frustrating.”
“The quality of the slide conversion was fine. However their Project Manager and I had agreed on a numbering system for the slides so that I could easily refile them. (I had thousands of slides). They then proceeded to not use the numbering system mixing slides from different time periods in large batches. They volunteered to "fix" the problem but at additional cost to me. I turned this offer down. It was unlikely that they could have fixed the problem since some of the original slides had been jumbled. I had to sort and numbered each digital slide. I also believe that some slides were lost. I have many more negatives and photos to digitize but I will be using a different firm.”
Roger, this is Eric, the owner at EverPresent. I'm more than disappointed to hear about your experience. I'll be looking into this personally and will be reaching out to you shortly.
“Their ability to put professionally done videos on CDs was excellent. Several of my home videos, however, transferred poorly to CDs. They shipped the completed job to me without without informing me of the problems with several of the tapes.
I do not recall receiving a letter with my order. Please forward me a copy. Thank you”
