“Dear Judy- I have some 25 year old sound tapes that I can no longer hear because I do not have an old-fashioned tape player any mor.e. I wanted to be able to play
these old tapes for a friend who is , unfortunately, in a hospital bed permanently. . You were clever enough to put the music on a flash drive which is great but I cannot listen to the music anywhere but in my office when I plug it into my desk computer. Obviously, I cannot take my computer to the hospital room so , because you are tech savvy, is there a way I can get a small adapter that would allow me to play this music in a hospital room? If so, please let me know and I will set up an appointment to see you at your facility in Newton.

“My experience was good, But I wish you would have told me a little more about what my final product looked like I might have not asked for you to continue!! I was disappointed at the viewing when I got the USB. I know you worked hard on it and I am not blaming you for the outcome but I just wish I was told that the viewing was in a bad state. I would have cancelled the whole thing and paid you for what you did up to that point. I have more but I am reluctant to pass them on to you because I think the viewing might be as bad as the one I sent to you!!”

“We love our 2 digital projects but in the last one our VHS tapes came back without the cases they were sent it. It is very difficult to reach someone at Everpresent.”
“The volume and clarity was not as good and the film was not clear sometimes. I understand because the was made in the Fortes Something with filming I did went to fast. We have 2 more but not sure I want to sped that much more money if it doesn't come out good.”

“Administratively, your services are impeccable but it would have been better to have complete transparency on the pricing; in my case the bill was higher at the end of the order (ie, after the technicians had looked at the items to be copied, and billed accordingly; this includes shipping costs etc)”
“Hi, Sad to say the quality of the reel transfer to digital was poor. I know the reels were quite old and didn’t know what to expect. My daughter had to use a song identifier app to get a list of the songs on the digital transfer and set them up in Spotify. We’ll be able to use the Spotify version at my brother Mark’s celebration of life service, but would have preferred the digital version. My brother was a DJ and took a lot of pride in mixing songs to create the reel.”

Sometimes Old tapes often present a variety of issues including discoloration and sound and tracking issues. 99% of the time, there is nothing we can do, which is upsetting for us too. The good news is you stopped the aging process by using EverPresent to digitize the tapes. “I was very happy to see these videos. I don’t like there is no sound. And when I play them in the camcorder here they have sound. I did want to get more tapes done. But no sure because of that issue”
“Hi, we were kept up to date and picked up our CDs at the Shrewsbury, MA location. None of the 10 would play on our Bose CD player at home but did play on our car player. We called and the person we spoke with apologized and told us they would produce another set at no charge. We picked that set up and had the same issue. All of the CDs play on our car player so we can’t figure it out. We have had CDs made from cassettes by EverPresent a few years ago and they still play just fine on our Bose player. So at this point we’re not sure if the folks we are planning to give a copy to will have a problem playing them or not. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out. Everyone we dealt with at EverPresent was very nice!”

“The work done was of good quality. My main issue is the time it took to complete, and the style of communication used to inform me of progress. Overall it took twice as long as was stated at the start. At one point they said it would be delayed, but not by how much. All along I received emails about their process, such as now it was in the copying phase, then in the QA phase, and so forth, but none of these stated any kind of actual time estimates or time goals. I very much dislike this style of trying to bring the customer into the process; it's just a sales/marketing tactic that deflects from what the customer really wants to know. Everpresent is trying to avoid discussions of time, and in the end this is not a good strategy.”
“While the quality (less than perfect) was to be expected due to the age of the VHS tapes (some 35 years), I was disappointed that several segments from a single tape were recorded on multiple DVDs. Some in part and some in total. I expected a one for one correspondence between the 5 VHS tapes and the 5 DVDs”
“I was pleased with the outcome of our old films being digitized, but you need to work on response time returning calls and emails. Sometimes it would take up to a week to hear from anyone. Other than that we were very pleased.”

“The 3 and a half hour transfer of my video labeled Anniversary party was mostly movies that were taped from tv. Maybe I don't know enough of the business, but I thought it would have been nice to contact me and ask if I want the whole tape transferred? I could be completely wrong though and partial tape transfers are not acceptable, if so I'm sorry and this review shouldn't be published.”

You are correct - we have to digitize the entirety of the tapes to make sure we capture all of the content! We wouldn't want to miss any footage. Getting a bit pricey, and although I did not call to question it, I wonder what a $35 service fee (for what) on a total invoice of about $2000. I would think for that amount of payment, it is not in the spirit of treating customers fairly to have to pay a "service fee."”
