“I had a problem with one of the runner mats. I kept thinking it would settle out. I contacted customer service over a weekend after a few months of hoping it would lie flat They responded within a couple of hours. They are replacing the mat and gave me no grief sbout it. “We installed a new stainless steel, long, island countertop. Very quickly after installation, we found that it was scratching easily and was certainly going to look just awful within the first month. Enter ExactMats -- it came quickly, and with its custom sizing is a wonderful protector for our counter as well as providing easy clean up. It's tough, thick, and looks fabulous. It was just a hair long, and I had originally given 4 stars instead of 5), and, even though I indicated that for our application, no harm, a customer service agent contacted me almost immediatly. So, as impressed as I was before with the quality of the product and the speed of delivery, now I'm absolutely RAVING about the customer service! Who does this?? I'm so impressed I will be seriously thinking about any project I do in the future with ExactMats in mind -- any excuse to redo my experience.”

“The website could better explain whether you need a custom shape i.e., I ordered an oval that didn't fit the table. Customer service said I actually have an ellipse (which wasn't an option in the drop down nor was it clear that this is what I needed). Customer service was amazing throughout the process i.e., quick responses, flexibility (allowed me to return the mat and sent me tracing paper for a free replacement). I used a cardboard template (which fit the table exactly) to transfer the table size to the tracing paper. The new mat doesn't fit the table like I expected, but it will do.”

“You can trust this company to be very, very precise! I made the mistake of thinking "like glass" and reduced my measurement by 1/8". I wish I would not have as it was NOT necessary and I ended up with 1/8" less than what I was hoping for because of MY mistake. Measure, measure and re-measure to ensure you have the exact measurement you want. Then, trust EXACTMATS to execute you mats EXACTly as you desire.”

“New end tables and was utilizing place mats to protect. I was attempting to be creative and started searching under different criteria. ExactMats showed up in my search. Best thing since “sliced bread”! The only possible slight improvement would be to smooth out the corners a bit, otherwise, these fit perfectly and totally protect our new table tops.”

“My old transparent table cover have a lots of wrinkles and I am tired of wiping it every night. I serch for a easy to wipe table cover at reasonable price. I finally found it at Exact Mat. It is about half an inch longer with few dull spots. I understand they are cut with machine and few flaws are acceptable. It is beautiful and was delivered earlier than said. I am very please not to see the wrinkles”

In this case, the mats do arrive in standard sizes, such as the one you purchased. However, if you are looking for a perfect fit, we also offer a custom option. While not everyone does this, in cases like this, we recommend going down to our 60Mil material, which offers similar protection in a thinner format. We hope this helps!

“I purchased a small ExactMat for the area in front of the loveseat, the only place in the entire living room that always has a foot/shoe on the rug (100% wool rug). I had previously tried cutting off the size needed from the roll at Lowe's and it would not stay flat. These mats (DIY or ExactMats) are fine for deliberately walking on in high trafffic areas, however if you are up and down from sitting they simply do not stay in place, shifting and coming up. My expectation was that the mat would have been a little heavier or thicker. When it arrvied rolled up in a small box, I was afriad it would perform much the the Lowe's DIY mat. Other that it being finished a litlle nicer, the performance is no better that what you buy off the roll.”

“The mats had air bubbles that when placed on the surface of my desk, caused the desk to look dirty. I used the guide when choosing which material to use. After emailing customer service, they told me what I should have chosen; regardless of the fact that I chose one for my desk type per their chart. After emailing back and forth, no refund was given despite explaining the situation and sending them pictures of the faulty mats.”

Our team offered to make a one-time exception to exchange your custom order for the material we suggest using for your surface type, but it sounds like the original mats were disposed of. “I ordered a rectangular mat for the top of our new clothes dryer, for two reasons: 1) the top is sloped, and laundrey baskets tended to slide off, and 2) to protect the actual surface from being scratched First ExactMats shipped a circular mat, similar in size but definitely not what I had ordered. I'm guessing that maybe two similar mats were sitting in their work area... As soon as I sent them a photo, though, they sent the correct mat and it seems to be doing its job. The top of our clothes dryer is the usual white metal top (enamel?) and where the mat has "glommed on" to the surface you can see where it's touching, so in this application it is NOT invisible. But this is our utility room, so it absolutely doesn't matter. I didn't purchase the patterned mat because I WANT the mat to have high friction, and when I've repositioned it, it shows no inappropriate adhesion. Just what I wanted.”
