“Not crazy about them , look cheap and hold any indentation or mark and shiny , I thought they would be more discrete and not know that anything is on top of the table, disappointed”

“I gave you five stars for an exact fix, but it does scratch easily and you can’t really put hot dishes coming out of the oven on it. We want something that will protect the tabletop from our pets and it’s doing that. But it will not last long looking nice. Probably should have gone to an expensive glass top.”

“I used these this weekend on a new dining table that I was going to have children sitting at, and they worked wonderfully. I am not giving it the highest stars only because they are going to be difficult to store when not in use. If I need to roll them everytime to store them, they will be hard to smooth out each time. They arrived rolled and I used 7-10 heavy books to get them to sit flush on the table. To their credit once smoothed on the table they stayed flush and did not roll back.”

Hi Darcy, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the mats performed well on your dining table. As far as storing the mat, it can easily be rolled and stored when not in use. If you are going to store it rolled for extended periods of time, we do suggest giving the mat a little bit of time to flatten out once you are ready to use it again. So if you are pulling it out for a party or an event, depending on how long it has been stored, we would suggest giving it a day or two ahead of time to air out and return to its completely flat state. You can also speed up the flattening process with heat. (A warm setting on a blow dryer or placing the mat in warm water). “I am very happy with the Clear Table Protector. It fits perfectly and shows the beautiful wood of the new dining table I recently purchased. I placed it on the table right after taking it out of the box and it laid flat almost right away. The only complaint I have is there was a very small sticker on it, which left a sticky spot on the cover that was difficult to remove. I suggest not putting any stickers on the cover prior to shipping. Other than that, it is just what I expected. The box was damaged when I received it, but the cover was OK. I blame Fed Ex for the damaged box. Kudos to customer service too. I accidentally ordered the wrong cover, and customer service was very prompt in helping me with an exchange. The only issue I have is I paid about $20 more for the wrong cover than what the cover I needed cost. I had to pay $5 for the exchange, but didn't receive any type of refund for the price difference of the 2 covers. Even with the minor issues I had, I think ExactMats is a good company and their products are worh the cost.”

Hi John, We're sorry to hear about the issues with your order! As for shine, if you are ever looking for a more matte/textured finish, we do offer Riverstone. The Riverstone material has a slightly pebbled finish on one side and a smooth finish on the other side. Placing the textured side of the material facing up refracts a bit of light, so it is less reflective than our Crystal material, which is designed to look like glass. Regarding the fitment issues, based on the photos that you provided in your ticket with Support, it looks like the wrong length was accidentally ordered. “Took awhile to get the heavy vinyl smell out, but I sprayed with vinyl cleaner left outside in the sun and rain for a week, and it seemed to dissapate. The fit is dead on and lets the original carpet stay visible.”

There is a natural off-gassing process (not to be confused with harmful “out-gassing”) for any newly made plastic or vinyl. This occurs soon after an order is produced and typically only lasts a few days after unboxing. This happens with nearly every plastic product there is, like a new shower curtain or beachball. That said, due to our products’ special formulations (pure virgin vinyl, lead-free, BPA-free, and phthalate-free), the scent you are experiencing is not harmful and should dissipate. Hi Giulio, We are so sorry that your mat didn't fit as expected! However, looking at your Support Ticket with our team, it looks like you are placing the ExactMats on top of vinyl/rubber mats. Our clear overlay mats are designed to lie on top of the OEM/factory carpet mats that come with the vehicle, so they are designed to have the exact same dimensions as the carpet mats. If you are placing the clear mat on top of a custom vinyl/rubber mat, that may explain the slight discrepancies in the fitment. Normally, we would offer an exchange or replacement if the fitment was truly incorrect, but it sounds like the fit was correct for the mat type selected, and that the mat had already been manually cut down to fit to preference. “If I could give 10 stars, I would! I have a dining room table with unusual corners. When I selected the the corner size cut, I received an email immediately. They wanted pictures to verify the had a correct template. They did not. But that didn't stop them! For only 10$ more they sent me paper to cover my table and trace the exact design, with postage paid to send it back. They let me know one me package was received and that they were waiting on the material. I emailed Katie, who was my point of contact for my entire order. I told hervwe had a housewarming party coming up and I really wanted the mat before that date. She told me, very honestly, that they would try but she didn't think it would get there in time. She promised to check on my order and let me know the progress next week. My mat was delivered 4 days BEFORE our party! You can't go wrong with this company!!!”

“Bought this to protect the flooring beneath the Mat. The Mat is too soft and the wheels on the chair are causing indentations. This makes it hard to then roll the chair forward or back.”

“I was very happy this company had the ability to fit the dimensions I needed. The cut was slightly off but it wasn't a big deal. My only real complaint is the material is very soft (not substantial). When you set drinks on it, there are little rings everywhere. Not the performance I have had in the past from clear table coverings. Waiting to see if the clear cover resists yellowing over time.”

“The pegs in the veracruz are round, the holes in the mats are eliptical. Clearly the mats are not an EXACT match. I sent a question asking if the mats are supposed to be an exact fit or is the expecttion I take a drill out and make the mats a fit? Its been months and clearly they have no intention of answering the question. UPATE After posting the previous review exactmats support reached out to me and offered to send new mats. The new mats are a perfect fit. After showing the support rep a copy of my sent email they did not try to explain how or why my emal was not responded to but they did send new mats that fit so I'm revising my review.”
