“The Gatwick lounge seemed to operate at the bare minimum of what a lounge could be: 1) The reception host was morose and unwelcoming. (The drink servers were pleasant, however.) 2) The variety of foods offered for breakfast was limited and of average-at-best quality. A bowl of fruit was never replenished in the two hours I was there. 3) Most tables were in need of a need of a good wiping down with cleaner. 4) The WiFi was virtually useless and the host told me to log into the wifi of the lounge next door. 5) The beer selection ought to include at least one or two of London's many craft beers. All in all, lots of room for improvement.”

“Food is good but the seating lets the lounge down somewhat. Could do with more comfortable chairs to sit on, after many years of using lounges there has been a change from the comfortable armchairs of old to a more ‘cafeteria’ style seating ... I assume so more seating is available. But I’d prefer more quality than quantity.”

“Shocked there was no real butter for bread rolls and breakfast finished at 10.30am. Lounge was airless at one end -not comfortable. No allergy information on food. Staff weren't trained.”

“My first visit to the Aspire Gatwick since the upgrade. I've been there many times before so was a bit worried with all the recent poor reviews. I needn't have been! Yes I much preferred the help yourself bar, but there was always someone on hand to serve drinks and no problem at all getting served as many times as I wanted (which was quite a lot!). I was there from around 3:30pm so the rice and pasta meal was on offer and the dishes topped up regularly. Also plenty of other snacks, crisps, cream tea etc. For the price this is definitely the best lounge in Gatwick and I will use it again.”

“The lounge itself is good, I have marked down due to the attitude of the staff regards alcohol - commenting each time a drink is ordered does not make for a pleasant experience. We are all adults and aware of how to behave in an airport pre flight. The police also made a visit to the lounge (believe because a group of men were enjoying themselves too much) and we were spoken to like children. Will probably stick to the bar next time.”

“The Two things stand out for me was is the lack of staff, especially at the bar when you use to serve yourself now the bar person had to keep leaving the bar to help in other areas and the measurements poured were below normal measurements should use a proper gill measurement. The second thing is the decor is looking very tired and grubby.”
